Do NOT order from this company! I placed an order on April 4,2020 (6 items for my grandson's birthday), received an email saying the items shipped on April 14 - they have still not been received on May 4! To make it worse, Young Explorers has hired an offshore answering service to keep taking phone orders, even though they have no intention of shipping the items. I have emailed and called Customer Service three times each, with phone wait times of 45 to 52 minutes every time! One of the operators finally admitted to me Customer Service was completely closed, they were just an answering service and couldn't help with orders. I understand a business interruption during a pandemic (I'm working remotely from home), but that's not what this is - they have no intention of fulfilling orders. I'm crushed my gifts weren't delivered for my grandson's birthday (April 25), even though I ordered them 3 weeks in advance. If you want to buy gifts for a birthday or other special event for a child this is NOT the place to order them - you will never receive your order!

Young Explorers' website states: "Creative educational toys that allow children to learn and explore through play." Yet the most recent catalogue we received featured toys like: (1) "Stop the Alien Invasion" where kids have to "[a]im and zap with the infrared gun to vaporize the aliens" (for ages 6+); (2) "Zap the Zombie in His Tracks" where kids are told to "[s]core 9 hits in 30 seconds" to defeat aliens -- "but just pop his arms back on, and he's ready for another game!" (for ages 3+); and (3) "Topple the T-Rex in His Tracks" where kids are similarly told -- "[S]core 9 hits in 30 seconds, down he goes-ready to rise again for another fun game!"(for ages 3+). What exactly are they teaching kids? And how do kids 3 years of age know how to discern between real/fake guns and the reasons and purposes for using guns? I am personally APPALLED that they would feature such THOUGHTLESS toys - especially in this day and age. Young Explorers should be ashamed of themselves for promoting these products.

I received two orders of the exact same thing. I ordered a lot, almost $600 for my grandkids, but now have 2 sets of everything and have a $1200 charge to my credit card. I have tried calling twice today to find out how to return one set, was told there was a return label with the packing sheet, however there is no return label. I was told to take to the post office and they would negotiate with the PO on return costs, at which point I started to understand I would not find this easy to remedy! On the back of the order sheet there are instructions to return that asks for the items you are returning and price for each, however I never received a confirmation with the itemized list and cost, the only itemized list is the packing sheet. So I called again tonight, their customer service person argued with me, kept repeating over and over what he said (and their call center is in the Philippines and so not easy to understand). He said they don't provide shipping labels but he would give me the return address, said I had to pay for return of items. I got so upset I had to hang up. I'm going to try to find their corporate office number but I have learned my lesson with these folks. When I googled Young Explorers looking for a number, Amazon came up so I looked at that link and find prices are MUCH cheaper if you order through Amazon (for example, $14 vs.@$21). Also confusing is that Pyramid Collections, which is a clothing and sensuality website, is the paperwork from one of my shipments but Young Explorers is the other; they must be affiliated. NEVER again and I encourage anyone else reading this not to buy from this company.

This company is terrible
December 11, 2014

This company is terrible. My mother in law got this "pucci puppy" stuffed animal thing in a little purse/bag thing for my daughter for her birthday. The description said it came with accessories that never ended up coming and these little magnetic "dog treats" that stick to the dogs mouth, like a bone. The "treats" had no magnets in them, nor did they have writing on them like the picture showed. I called the company and explained the situation. They said I would have to send it back on my own dime, they would review and send me another. Meanwhile, I had just given this to my daughter so I didn't want to take it away. Places like Amazon will send you a replacement, then you send the old one back. They said the only way they could do that is to charge me for a new one. But my MIL sent it from another state, which would mean when I sent the defective one back, then they would credit her account since she paid for the original purchase. Then I would have to have her write me a check for the one I bought. Hardly a way to have relatives get your kid a gift. I asked them to find me a manager to speak with. After being on hold for 9 minutes, the woman came back and said she couldn't find anyone but that someone would call me back that day. Oookkkkaaaaay. Of course that was 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard from one single person there. They were completely inflexible and incompetent. I also got the feeling that they had no idea if another pucci pup would be any different. They seemed clueless on their own merchandise. Their return policy is absurd, especially when you are talking about defective merchandise. I had a bunch of things I was going to order from them for Xmas because it looked like they had cool stuff, but now I have tossed the magazines and won't ever order from them again. Especially seeing other reviews similar to mine. And the fact that what they advertise and tell you in the print description of the product isn't what you actually get. I mean, is that even legal? I would never suggest anyone order anything from them.
