Don't fall for the, "Sign up to receive emails and get 10% off this order". Signed up, but no mention of the 10% off my order. After reading these reviews, I'm not very confident I'll receive my order before Christmas.
Customers are automatically signed up for the VIP service which charges $14.95 monthly for free shipping. It is up to the costumer to opt out but they won't know of this charge until the credit card bill arrives.
I ordered a toy for my grandson one month before Christmas and Christmas Eve I received a letter that it was out of stock. You had one month to email me. I will never order from your company nor will I recommend your company to my friends and family. By the way I ordered the same toy from Nordstrom for 15 dollars less.
Horrible customer service. Stayed on hold for a total( 3 calls, and dropped lines) for 55 minute. Over charged me, actually charged me twice for an item and overcharged me for two day delivery and then did not deliver in two days.
I sent an email request for help and the email came back undeliverable.

Really bad experience with awful unhelpful condescending customer service! Website is outdated and look like it wasn't updated since 1999. Do not even try to place order because it's sucks and their prices aren't even competitive.
They shipped an expensive item the cheapest way and charged a lot for shipping. Needless to say I never recieved the package and I was told it was left where packages are usually left! What kind of an excuse is that I'm out over $100 with no recourse. Buyer Beware. Forced to use 1star it deserves minus stars!
I want to express my disappointment with my recent purchase from Young Explorers. I ordered wonderful products for my son's birthday. I placed my order on 7/19/20 to make sure I received it in time for his birthday on 8/8. When the package was not delivered by 7/31/20 I called customer service I found out the order had not been shipped and paid extra to have 2 day shipping. I again did not receive my order and called again and was told that I would have my order by Friday 8/7/20. The shipment did not come and I did not have the gifts for my son. I will not be ordering from your website again.
If I could give it zero stars I would. The worst customers service I've ever seen. Get a different response about returns every time I call. Basically they won't refund you the money. I ask for a cal reference number every time I call and they tell me there isn't one just the call is being recorded. The last time I called I said I believe this is a scam company and the lady whispered, " it's a scam." And hung up. What a freakin joke. DO NOT BUY
I ordered 3 item in November, never received items, reorder in December never received items cancelled order in February, they gave me a difficult time wanting me to reorder, request a refund and they were not going to refund shipping cost. Will never use this company again!
I wish I'd seen this website before buying a remote-controlled crane for my grandson last October. When it was opened at Christmas, I asked how it was and my son said unfortunately it was an (expensive) piece of junk. The remote had to be held really close to the crane to work at all, and the buttons on the remote were cheap plastic and had to be pushed many times to work, not easy for a child to do, and most likely due to break. There was no "return label" with the crane, so I called the company about returning it for a refund as per their "No Nonsense Guarantee" which unconditionally gives refunds. I have called Customer Service MANY times over SEVERAL months, always getting the polite answer that it would be taken care of that day. We actually sent the crane back at our own expense (they promised to repay us), and it was received over a month ago, but no refund has showed up. I hope this review will help other people from getting "taken" by this untrustworthy, unreliable, and ripoff of a business!
I made a big order right before Thanksgiving. They sent me an email saying the order was confirmed, then turned around and sent me another email saying that my billing ZIP Code was not correct and that my order was canceled. I called customer service to check on this they could not help me with a thing surprise surprise. Then a month later they all the sudden charge me out of the blue for that order all over again and then send the order. Keep in mind I already went on Amazon and got other things in place of this. One of the things in the original order was on back order they sent me an email saying that if I wanted to cancel I could send an email to them in which I did I canceled it. They still sent the item anyways. This took a big bit to my bank account a week before Christmas! I will never order from this company ever again.
Do not, I repeat do not, order from this company. I ordered three pairs of skates for my grandchildren for Christmas. Two weeks later, I have two sets and now am being told the third set is on backorder and will not arrive by Christmas. No indication of being on backorder when I placed the order. Then, this company actually charged me tax and shipping as though they had sent the complete order! Took me 25 minutes on the phone to get them to cancel the third set (but they don't send an email confirming cancellation - I requested one so we'll see) and provide me with a credit. Fortunately I paid through PayPal so I have recourse there if I don't see the credit or if they try to charge me for the third set. Fortunately I googled and found the set on Amazon with the skate company as the supplying vendor and I'll have them on Monday - oh and they were $25 less! I will never order from this company again.
I order some toys for my grandkids. The toys are wonderful, but then, they begin to charge you with 12.95 every month without your authorization. After finding out, I called and still I do not have a solution to their stealing my money. That is ilegal and it has to stop. How many people do not check their credit card statements? Since is not a lot of money it does not get noticeable, so they are stealing plain and simple. I will never get anything from that bunch of pirats.
This company should not be allowed to accept orders and be in business. They confirmed my order and it was supposed to be two day aired. Now seven day later no tracking and upon calling them they said there was a mistake in the credit card billing address (there wasn't) and it had not been shipped but now they do not have some of the merchandise any longer. They never had the courtesy to contact me immediately about the credit card mailing address--I cancelled whole order as today is my grandsons birthday and no presents arrived! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY--google the toy(s) wanted and purchase them from a reputable company that has good reviews.
Ordered product in April 2020 and when order status is checked was told it was backordered. You also have the option of cancelling the order. Cancelled the order. Checked again in a couple of weeks and still backordered. Not cancelled. You see where this is going. Just got notification order is shipping. My next step is a compliant with the BBB.

I did not ask to have a catalog sent to me and I haven't ordered anything from this catalog in the past. The only instructions I could find was to mail them my preferences. I went to the website and it was a number of steps to be unsubscribed to ths catalog and their affiliates. It was time and a bit of work for something I didn't want. Make it easier.
I do a great deal of catalog shopping so when I received one of these I thought it was a legitimate and reputable company. I ordered a personalized book for my granddaughter on September 23rd and have still not received it. The website has been down for WEEKS so I called customer service. The girl was not helpful in the least. She took my order number and gave me a lame excuse that the computer system was not working and she would have to "manually" look up my order. She told me to call back at the end of the week because it would be working. HA! It was not working the following week either. Carlo told me the company would notify me when there was an update. Still nothing! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! If I could give it negative stars I would.

I ordered some things for xmas on Dec 17th. I assumed they would arrive in a few days. I guess I'm spoiled by amazon. When i called on the 19th to ask when they would arrive, I was told that they didn't leave the warehouse yet and that it normally takes 7-10 business days. I asked if I could pay extra to expedite it to get it by xmas. THey said they could not do that because the items were already in the warehouse. They then suggested that I call Fed ex and see if I could get expedited shipping through them! I asked ot speak to a supervisor. They would not put one on the phone. I asked then for the order # to give to fed ex. Then I went on the fed ex website and put the number in, No such number found. I asked to cancel the order. They said they could not cancel the order since it was already in the warehouse. They said i could return it once I recieve it! Ugh!
Here's how it works. You go buy a kids toy. During checkout, they will ask if you want something like 10% off or something like that. Most people won't read the fine print. Embedded in the fine print is that they will charge you 14.95 EVERY Month for a VIP subscription service that basically does NOTHING.
They basically hope that the people take awhile before noticing the charge on their CC's.
I talked to a nice lady in customer service and she said 75% of the calls she takes every day is people who are being preyed on with these 14.95 charges. If you call them, you will get 4 months back. Once you escalate, you will get 2 months more back. The remainder, call your credit card company to file a complaint and you will get the remainder back (after awhile). I can't believe a company who sells KIDS TOYS employs predatory subscription pricing. I will be filing an official complaint to the BBB.
Do a google search on YNG EXPLRS VIP and you will find scores of angry people who have gone through this ridiculous scam.
