Never received my order *******, lost 2500$. My package was delivered to different state! Support does not helping to resolve the problem
Disastrous; faulty unit had a complete blowout in less a year.
Had a need for a new computer; never went with XOTICPC before, but heard good things, so I figured I'd give them a try; MSI laptop ran fine for about a year, then had a blowout; at first, I thought it just needed a new power supply; XOTICPC arranged shipping to MSI; MSI inspected the unit, determined the entire laptop had a blowout, needed full replacement, and provided a quote which was roughly the cost of the entire unit; I refused this course of action, and instead requested the unit be shipped back to myself so I could get a hard drive restore/transfer performed once I had a new laptop.
At the time of initial purchase, I figured I had gotten a decent deal on a model that was going out of circulation. In retrospect, now, I get the feeling I only ended up dropping ~$1.5k on failed hardware MSI was offloading.
They also have the audacity to send you a link to review their product - which goes to a dead page, so you can't review their garbage.
First of all, spend several months and the computer now requires RMA, Xotic was unable to help took me several times to request that RMA, then when I wanted to correct my review for them, they played dum-dum, all of them like they will put the request to correct it, that was my third time to request that correction as I am still waiting for my computer from RMA. If you know other suppliers use them Xotic will create nothing but stress and you will waste more money. Also heard sager is good, but $1400 machine with upgrades should not break down so quickly. The issue is screen not coming back from sleep, it wasn't software.
User's recommendation: Avoid Xotic and Sager, plenty of choive.
Okay, so i had the worst experience with this $#*!hole of a business. The customer service team is absolute garbage ( ERIN & ALEX im looking at you). They have no idea what they are doing and were no help when i had to exchange my laptop. I would have had more success talking to a broom. They sent me a damaged computer and claimed it wasnt their fault, i sent it in after hours of convincing and they SENT IT BACK TO ME EVEN MORE A
DAMAGED... WTF. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE NIGHTMARE AND NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS TRASH COMPANY.
They will tell you what you want to hear, follow it up with some lies and tell you you are $#*! out of luck when they fail to send you want you paid for! Stay away!
This company is absolutely scamming everyone you don't get your money's worth and horrible customer service!
"They sold me a pc they didn't have! I waited 12 days for them to tell me (When I complained) that they didnt have it in stock! It was coming from the manufacturer. Not the way to do bussiness or keep steady customer base. They might want to adjust their business practices or go out of. I CANCELED!" IN STOCK SHOULD MEAN IN STOCK! Not Drop shipper! Go ANYWHERE ELSE! UPDATE: If you finance your PC you lose the deposit. Xotic claims to the PC is "IN STOCK" with a MONTH out wait!
Early morning on Black Friday, I came across XoticPC's deal on the MSI Raider GE-63 and decided to buy it.
A few hours later, while purchasing a laptop sleeve on Amazon, I needed to check the laptop's dimensions to see if it would fit. So I visit the XoticPC store page and notice the laptop is $250 cheaper than when I bought it.
Now, I realize I'm not entitled to any form of rebate. Company policy is that they don't match prices for promotions (they later told me in an email).
But that's precisely the reason I wouldn't purchase anything else from the company. Their policies are ridiculous. Newegg, for example, offers price match for the entire month of November, but XoticPC doesn't even offer it for a few hours!
The worst part is that I could have just canceled my order and reordered with the sale price but customer support took 3 days to get back to me and I didn't realize they had ridiculous business policies. Apparently, employing customer service representatives on the busiest shopping day of the year is too much to ask for.
TL; DR
Ordered a laptop early Black Friday, went on sale $250 cheaper a few hours later, but couldn't get a refund.
Awful company. Stay Away.:: Edited to Add::
After dealing with customer "support," I've cancelled my order.
First they claimed it was against their policy. Then, they claimed it was a clerical error. After that, they claimed the laptop wasn't even on sale during Black Friday. Yet I have email proof that it was.
AWFUL BUSINESS. They probably sell refurbished PCs as "custom made." Don't trust these liars.
So, I ordered an Xotic Laptop from Xotic PC. I had the 5900hx with the 3080 16g card. 2 tb m. 2 samsung HD and 32 gigs of ram. I also paid for a clean windows install. With debloating and a screen calibration.
When I finally received the unit, it crashed within 15 min of startup. No apps were installed, it just crashed. Then it kept crashing every 20 min or so. THEN the screen went out. This all happened within 2 days.
So, I did a little research. This company has a timeline of the production of your unit. The company CLEARLY states that the computer will go through 3 to 6 days of testing before shipment. These "People" (term used loosely) spent 2.5 hours after the unit was put together on testing and installing windows... So I know why it crashed now.
When I asked for my money back, they couldn't even give me that! They charged me for services that were not rendered. There was NO documentation on the screen calibration, the fan curve was at MAX and stuck there. How the HELL can a company do this to their customers. They charged me 250 dollars for a computer that I never even got to use..
This was a multiple bid process for a company. After speaking with their staff directly, and multiple times, an order was placed on December 13th. They did advise it would take upwards of 20 days, but that all the parts were available.
Instead of waiting till the shipping date before charging our credit card, they charged it immediately. You would think if they charged us for it, that all of the parts would be set aside in a bin to wait in line so they could build it.
No.
The CPU wasn't actually in stock and they knew this, or they were exceptionally incompetent with an inadequate inventory tracking system.
They never told us that our parts weren't available, and wouldn't be till the end of January 2022. Today is Feb 10th, 2022, and they're still not available.
COVID and international shipping delays are not XoticPC's fault, but it is their fault for lying about part availability for a month. We weren't told about the availability problem till the end of December. Just empty promises that we would need to be patient for the normal build process that could take 20 days.
NEVER buy anything from this company. They charge you up front regardless of whether or not they actually have to the stock to fulfill the order.
They're customer service is abhorrent. A bunch of empty platitudes, and they couldn't even answer questions about the laser etching of our company logo on the side after two months.
A horrible deceptive company that only cares to take your money, but not deal with you honestly.
I am the owner of a boutique architecture firm in Colorado and we recently decided to begin the exciting shift to MSI workstation laptops. After working with Xotic staff to set up/build our first $5400 machine, it was recommended that we add on extra services to ensure a prompt delivery and the highest quality control, which we agreed to. We received shipment weeks later to find that the laptop had been incorrectly built with a series of partitions (that we did not request) placed on the incorrectly located hard drives.
Xotic accepted fault but offered no support. Initially Xotic requested that our company open up the computer ourselves and begin by switching hard drives around and reinstalling the OS. I was not willing to have our staff do this due to warranty issues and the inappropriateness of this request after such an expensive purchase. After a series of painful emails and calls my company made the decision to send back the laptop due to the lack of faith in Xotic's customer service and professionalism.
When our company requested a return label for the PC, Xotic refused to provide it saying that we needed to pay for return shipping in addition to a series of other charges that totaled nearly $400. All this, just to return a problem product we never ordered, at no fault of our own. I will not name any individuals, but the support staff I personally worked with offered no professionalism and management refused to speak with us.
My company has amazing clients and staff to take care of. Computers are one of our greatest tools, but this process has taken so much time and effort. I will never work with Xotic again. If you are looking for a professional/business solution I recommend looking elsewhere. This company is absolutely horrible.
Laptop was late in arriving due to some manufacturing issues around Covid. Not a big deal, I can wait a month+ no problem.
When I did get the laptop, I immediately had issues charging (the ASUS software would pop up and say the connector was not properly seated, and the battery icon would intermittently stop showing that it was charging) so I contacted Xotic PC to try and get an RMA. Took 2+ weeks and multiple emails to get the RMA set up only to find that it wasn't going back to Xotic PC, it was going directly back to ASUS, and that I could have just dealt directly with ASUS to set it up all along.
Fast forward a week later, waiting on info on my repair, when Xotic informs me that ASUS has determined that it was "user damage" that caused me to have charging problems, which is ridiculous since I had problems on day 1. Xotic PC will not help me escalate with ASUS, so I'm left to my own devices to battle with ASUS over the ridiculous $2,700 they want to charge me to repair my brand new, $4,000 laptop. Xotic PC informed me that I can use my once-and-done Accidental Damage Protection coverage to cover the cost, but then if I actually do drop my laptop or something later I'm SOL.
I'm very disappointed with Xotic PC and their lack of support in this matter. I would not recommend buying from them and I will not be buying from them in the future unless they can rectify the situation asap.
I Do Nightclub visuals, not always overclocking, but Prema would give me the most out of my hardware at stock clock speeds.(which does exist for my model MSI I proved it to them)(After being told it does not, then told I needed to purchase it at the time of the sale, and strung along, then told That they needed approval, didn't know who they needed to contact, and then an entire chain of lies that they did not know who to speak to AT MSI has been stringing me along
I am a Return Customer from Xotic-PC Who has been fed a world of lies and delays, Telling me there was no Answer from MSI for item I was seeking, I was also told the bios in question I am after doesn't exist(Another lie)... Then I was treated like a ping-pong ball
Claiming They don't know who to talk to at MSI and MSI claiming they needed to talk to them, Well I am tired of being batted around like a ball.
Msi Just after months told me I am not allowed to have the bios in question, meanwhile other agents told me in their chat system approval is NOT NEEDED. That they could sell it to me.
Xotic-PC IS DECEPTIVE, Lies and uses delay tactic games whenever they can. DO NOT BUY ANY SYSTEM FROM XOTIC-PC, you will be treated like a ping-pong ball after the sale.
I am leaving 1 star for this deceptive practice, and if I could leave 0 stars I would.
If I could rate them a negative I would but it's not an option.
I purchased the MSI 76 GE Raider Laptop on November 03,2021. When purchasing the laptop the preorder date stated that I would receive my laptop between November 15 -30 of 2021. Well, that time came and passed, and when reaching out to customer service they stated that I would receive my laptop in December 2022. December 2021 came and passed. I reached back out to customer service in January 2022 to see if there have been any status updates. The representative of XOTIC PC stated that I would receive my laptop in February 2022. Throughout this whole process, I've been patiently waiting to receive my laptop since November 2021. XOTIC PC never reached out to me to keep me up to date with the progress of my order. I, reached out to XOTIC PC on January 25,2022, regarding my order status. XOTIC PC told me that the laptop that I ordered in November 2021 is now End of Life and that MSI was not fulfilling any more orders. I patiently waited almost 3 months just for them to tell me sorry that the laptop you ordered is now End of Life. I could not accept that as the answer. I immediately called MSI, and they stated that they still have the model laptop I purchase on their website, and it's not End of Life. I tried to reach out to XOTIC PC to relay the message I receive from MSI. I noticed they begin to screen my phone calls, and I was never able to get in contact with them via phone. The only way I could reach them was through the online chat service. I ask to speak with a manager and the only response I got was an email address for management. I also would like to add that one of the customer service representative hung the phone up in my face. I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with XOTIC PC and its customer service. They never made me feel like a valued customer, and I will never purchase anything from them ever again.
I was very hopeful when I started my experience with this company. The options were great. The prices were great. The website was actually usable unlike some other computer building sites.
I was even more pleasantly surprised when I started using their online chat support. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Travis, Emily, and everyone else were great.
The problem started with my laptop order when I was still in Phase 1 (Inventory Gathering) after 14 Days of the order being placed and paid for. Mind you, the website said that it will ship between 7 and 9 business days. It had been 10 and I was still in Phase 1 of 5 phases... (I know what work goes in to building a custom PC, so I know it takes time, however 2 weeks to gather inventory that is advertised on your website is absurd. On top of that, putting it together, installing windows, optimizing, calibrating, and overclocking, and then testing. I knew it was going to take another week at least before it was even shipped.)
So I decided to go with another company who can quickly acquire the goods needed for my build. I cancelled my order with them with a representative, who was also pleasant (Landon I believe), on 8/5. My Order status was changed during the day 8/7/17. Now another issue, I have not received my refund yet, and it has been 6 days, we are on the 5th business day since the order status changed.
I do not know about anyone reading this, however I am an eCommerce Marketplace Manager. If I had a department, or an employee, who was causing delays and slow turnaround time for anything in my business, there would be serious issues and change. ECommerce demands speed, quick turnaround, and perfect accuracy. I am not sure why it was taking so long to acquire parts, or why the refund process is absurdly long. I also know that I ordered a similar laptop from another company on 8/6/2017 and it will be here 8/14/2017. I have my tracking already.
I am disappointed because the support team at the very least was phenomenal. I have to get another laptop for my wife since hers is failing. I was going to get mine from Xotic now, then get hers in a few weeks... Unless something significantly changes with this company, I will not be visiting their site again for my computer needs.
Answer: Scam. Sells faulty machines. I believe that when xoticpc discovers they have a broken or faulty laptop, sells the product to the consumer anyways, asking THEM to do an RMA instead of performing any quality control whatsoever
Answer: It is impossible. After a month of trying, chat never answered, never emailed back, etc. I found only way was to call sales. They answered that line on first ring. After many tries finally got through, but no help from them once I did. Read my review
Answer: I bought a $2500 PC from this company and had to RMA it after only having it for a month. After I got it back everything was fine for about 5 months and then the PC started randomly shutting down and XoticPC wanted 90 dollars just to send it back to them to have them fix it and another 60 to have them ship it back to me. So, 150 dollars later I receive my PC back from them only to find out they didn't fix the problem. I'm sure they'll want another 150 just to not fix it again. They only issue refunds to machines bought in the last 30 days. Steer clear of this company.
