I was a loyal customer for years and usually did most of my Christmas shopping on their website. After a couple of messed up orders that were far harder and longer to resolve than they should have been, I decided I could not trust them with my holiday shopping list.
Bought a lamp from them, opened the box, and not only is it shattered, but it's splattered with red paint. Red paint. Like how does this even happen? It was clearly put into the box like this, and now their customer service line refuses to answer. Absolutely malicious, fraudulent company. I feel like I bought from AliExpress. Avoid like the plague.
This company overcharged me in taxes for my 3 orders and refusing to give my money back. They are claiming that their system is automatic and that they cannot make adjustments even when their basic math mistake is so obvious. My first order supposedly $1,023.57, they charged $1,047.32. My second order should be $269.32, they charged me $275.57. My third order was supposed $215.45, they charged me $220.44. The agent and the manager claimed that because I bought it online, the tax rate is higher. I have not experienced this with other stores online. My sales tax based on my zip code is 7.75% only!
Order online for delivery, box was missing manual and looks like it had been returned. Contacted customer service for a solution and what nightmare. They send so many emails asking the same question over and over again despite of the answer being provided on the same reply. Further, in order for them to ship a new item they want the previous item back 1st, but they waste too much time with these emails back and forth. This was the 1st and last time. Never, ever will purchase from this store again.
Williams-sonoma has great quality cookware. I love their products. I am a bit addicted to this site. It is very easy to navigate to find special items for your kitchen that you didn't even know you needed.
I placed an order as a gift and used a discount code. After two weeks, they never shipped my order and the item was no longer available. I had to call them to get a refund. They would not replace the discount order so I can order something else for the gift. I have never ever ordered from them without an issue. I will not be a customer anymore and I will be sharing my experience all over social media huge disappointment from such a big company.
Website advertised free gift with purchase but won't honor. Said it was a mistake. I bought merchandise in good faith that I would receive the free offer. Very bad customer service. I had a screenshot of the ad. Jesse says he is supervisor and there is disclaimer on their website. He was rude too. Guess what? Not my problem they made a mistake, not me. Lost me as a customer. Never again. I'm returning my purchase too.
I was told my shipment had been delivered on the Williams Sonoma website. But I did not receive it. I could not find out what happened as the site had an invalid tracking number. They have not responded to my emails. The least they could do is thank me for my $100 gift to them.
Ordered an item on May 1, said it would be delivered by May 5 or May 6. On May 6 contacted, them to find out why I didn't have my item yet. Agent said they never fulfilled the order, but didn't have a reason and would need to escalate it to "management" to investigate.
I'm guessing had I not contacted them I would have been waiting forever. I told them to cancel the order and I turned around and placed a new order on Amazon.com, which is what I should have done in the first place.
It's clear Williams-Sonoma isn't interested in selling to customers. These reviews further suggest that Williams-Sonoma isn't a customer-friendly business to work with. Save yourself headache and order on another website.
I have had great experiences over the years on their website and in the store. The company is highly ethical and helpful. With coupons, discounts, and sales often used in combination, the prices can be as good as anywhere. If I have a problem with an item, customer service has consistently been there to resolve issues.
I just had a most disappointing & unsatisfactory conversation with CS regarding a Wusthof scissors I purchased in February. The two pieces come apart very easily and almost hit my bare foot with the point. CS "manager" said I needed to call Wusthof! Really! I have no contact with the manufacturer; I purchased from WS. She was unwilling to assist any further. I purchase frequently from WS, but not any more & will advise others of your inferior CS & unwillingness to resolve issue
Ordered an e-card from W&S and received an email indicating that when the recipient viewed the notification, I would be sent an email. After a week, none came. I used the customer support email to inquire if my e-card had been sent. Got no response after 3 days. Called customer support and no one answered. Got message "mailbox is full." Now waiting on live chat for 90 minutes. Buy a different ecard.
I will NEVER buy so much as a pencil from this idiotic circus of so called customer service! As a paying customer, they lied about their "policies", and conflicting info from all four agents I spoke to. Four separate phone calls for a very simple issue. I was never called back or emailed AS PROMISED! This company is useless, their quality is for crap. Their customer service is nonexistent! Shame on them! Get it together! Take care of your paying customers! You ought to be ashamed of yourselves! Disgusting! I hope your company goes bankrupt!
Sadly I wasn't able to give 0 stars, 1 star felt very generous. I placed an order in October. By January I was still chasing up why it had not yet been shipped. By Feb I gave up and asked for a refund and was told I should receive the refund within a week so I ordered the product from someone else (and it came within a week). No refund came from WS and the product that I no longer wanted has just been delivered to me. Worst logistics and customer service I have ever experienced, especially by a company with an international name... something very very dodgy must be going on behind the scenes. I will now have to ring them again to arrange the return and hopefully, eventually get the refund that I was promised.
I did get a little unruly with the person on the phone and for that I apologize. Lost my cool for sure. However, when I said the email address doesn't work I was talked down to like a boomer I guess I don't know anything about computers. I did remove the dash and waiting to see if that works.
This used to be a great company. I have been on the phone for better than half an hour waiting to cancel an order that originally said it was in stock, then said it would be delivered in a week, then two week, and now three months. Last time I will purchase from them.
I ordered a couch in March 2021, a bright pink couch was delivered in August 2021, not the couch we ordered. We asked them to remove the couch which they did and then they cancelled our original order. I am still for my refund since August. The refund amount is close to $3,000 which they keep saying is being processed. Do yourself a favour and find another store. This goes to all their branches. Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn for Kids.
An item listed as available and continued to be so a week afterward ordering was backordered after order was placed.
They also sell my email address and ads from many companies flooded by mail box.
Bought a Chef's Choice electric knife sharpener une 17th, delivered June 22. Used it in August now middle of three shaperners no longer works. $5 minutes on hold. Lots of time verifying my information, no resolution.
I grew up with Williams Sonoma reputation as the primo home brand. What a complete descent into the bottom rung.
Lost money, no resolution. No further purchases. Yelp and sitejabber reviews.
Laughably bad service. I bought a $4k+ kitchen island and immediately the (supposedly) sealed countertop began to erode with the mildest of spills. I have so far walked into the store to ask what if anything I can do to improve sealer, at the associates direction called customer service, and sent three subsequent emails just to answer this question. Each time they seem to only know how to ask my name address and order number. The last email response said thank you for contacting Pottery Barn. Surprisingly poor quality furniture. Surprisingly bad customer service. Will be limiting my future purchases to only spatulas. Photo shows 1 area of erosion after lemon juice spill (quickly cleaned up). Approx total size that of a dollar bill.
Answer: Scam, questionable business tactics which are reported to the Better Business Bureau and American Express. Failure of customer service to respond within 72 hours as promised.
Answer: Because they are scamming to show higher sales numbers. Their systems can't even handle an address change ( when my order was delayed 5 months I needed the address changed due to a move).
