This story spans 5 weeks of logistics nightmare so I will stick to the basics. I ordered a wig but when delivered I was on a business trip. UPS sent the wig to a holding warehouse in Germany. Only thing Wigs.com has to do is instruct UPS to try once more to deliver the wig, I agreed to pay all additional costs. Their answer after contacting them at least 6 times is NO. So now the $335 I spent on it are lost. UPS will destroy the package, and NOTHING I can do about it.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE. They sent me a damaged pony tail that had a bunch of clipped hairs. Obviously a second or return. I sent pictures immediately and they sent long disclaimer saying no return shipping, it would have to go back to manufacturer and maybe or maybe not they would replace. Totally passed the buck. Crooks! Also they took over a week to even ship my item. Disgusting business practices.

Good company
January 25, 2014

Good company.
The reason, I believe at least, that they sometimes have limited colors is that they only order so many in each color, based on what they think will sell, from the manufacturer. To do otherwise would be bad business really.
You can back order colors and I think that after they have a sale on what is left, they reorder again or discontinue if the wig or color discontinues.
I could be wrong but I think this is how any good business would run.

Beware
February 16, 2015

Ordered a wig and the fine print you need to read very carefully. Even thought they send you a plastic head cap to use when trying on because they say they can not use it again, they charge you a re stocking fee of 25%! Crazy.

Carol, I can understand how frustrating a restocking fee is. Although there is a hygiene cap for you to try on with your wig, it is still a wig we return to the manufacturer as we only sell manufacturer fresh products. This is not in fine print but stated prominently in our policies. I know you are disappointed but we do have some good news!... We will soon be opening up our wigoutlet as a full discount outlet! This website will offer open box items at significant discounts. This means we will not have to pay the restocking fees to the manufacturers as we will keep these open box items and offer them on wigoutlet. Good news... wigs.com items are not only always factory fresh but now you can send back anything you have safely tried on without paying a restocking fee! We are working on this to launch by the end of 2015. We hope you can appreciate our mission to always provide manufacturer fresh wigs.

I ordered a wig and paid for expedited shipping (1-2 business days). The web site says that orders are processed in 1-2 business days, so I assumed that I should have my purchase within a week (at the VERY latest), but when I finally emailed the company after hearing nothing for 6 business days, I received a reply indicated that they had JUST created a shipping label. My previous wig was destroyed in an accident, and I have nothing to wear to my daughter's wedding. I have no idea what I'm going to do. On top of their slow processing time, they will not allow me to return the wig (even if I never open the box) without charging me a 25% restocking fee.

Nightmare return policy
November 30, 2021

I was dissatisfied with the wig I purchased. I have no access to a printer and therefore could not use the "return label" on the website "beautyandhair.com/returns". On two separate days I called the 800 # and was put on hold for over an hour. I was then told by automated response that the call was being discontinued. This happened on two separate occasions. I wanted to get instructions on how to return merchandise without using the label. I am still unable to contact customer service. I do NOT recommend this company.

I am relating this question to some of the customers who have complained about re-stocking fees. If you peruse the Terms & Conditions prior to ordering, you will see that a re-stocking fee is applied where necessary with their Site. So to have these customers horrified that they have to pay a re-stocking fee - should have read the Terms before purchasing!

The first wig order arrived fine, but the shampoo & conditioner were on backorder! Still waiting after 4 weeks! Second order went on backorder; called them yesterday, and they don't have a date yet as to when they expect the wig to be back in stock. Customer Service said that "... we don't have the capability to show 'out of stock' on our website..." WTF?! What online store doesn't keep track of their stocks? Because the wigs are probably made by slave-labor, and shipped at the last minute. The prices may be good, but waiting 2 months for an order? No thanks! I'll shop local! I do not recommend this company.

Ashante, We understand how frustrating it is to have to wait for something we want and need. I regret you has this experience here. At this point, I know your issue is no longer open but wanted to clarify how stock and availability are handled in our warehouse.
Wigs.com carries stock in many of our top selling brands and styles. As we have over 1,000 styles offered online, we do not stock every item. For those we have in stock... they are shipped immediately upon order and we have the fastest delivery time in the industry. For those items we do not stock, we cannot control the backorder schedule and many times are not given a back in stock date. This does present a problem for us and we are just as frustrated by the limitations presented by some of these manufacturers. Every company which sells wigs experiences the same issues with this.
However, I would like the opportunity to make amends for your frustration if you care to try us again. If so, please feel free to contact me directly at Carliz@wigs.com as I would like to earn back your trust.
Respectully,
Carliz Teague

I got a great real human hair wig from this company for a great price. It was far cheaper than I have found anywhere else. Also, I was able to get free shipping. I think this is the best site out there for a nice quality wig.

I paid 300$ for my wig on September 10th and still haven't received anything. I contacted them by email about ten times but they tell me that my order will arrive but it's been 4 months! And on the tracking site, my order has been blocked since October 13! Don't order on wigs.com!

The worst hair pieces EVER! Colors not even close. The hair looks like something from a Barbi Doll. Very unrealistic. They also charge a restocking fee if you try to return plus you pay return postage. This company is a RIPE OFF!

Thank you for your feedback. All the hairpieces we sell are directly from the manufacturer. We feel it is important to offer options for all budgets. The least expensive hairpieces are of course not the high quality items but there is a market for them.
There is NO RETURN FEE if you are returning for store credit to exchange your item. Our return policies are the best in the industry and shipping is free on all our orders over 100$.
We will incorporate your feedback in our 2018 planning meeting for improving our service plan.
I’m sorry for your frustration. We will try harder.

Ordered a wig that was out of stock. They did not tell me it was out of stock for more than a week. They charged my credit card at the time of the order and, so far, they have been enjoying my proceeds for an item they didn't and couldn't deliver and it's up to10 days already. You cannot speak to a supervisor in customer serves unless you wait 24 hours. This is a scam. Stay away.

A great site!
November 21, 2018

I could not decide which color to choose between medium brown and fiery red. So I bought two. They arrived to me in a timely manner and were nicely packaged in a box. I preferred fiery red to medium brown since the medium brown did not work on me. I contacted the customer service and asked for return. The return process was simple and smooth.

1.25% restocking fe should be criminalized.

2. Customer service was the worst I have ever had.

3. First I ordered and cancelled and put the money back without the restocking fee.
4. They waited until I had less money and my account went negative.
5. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company EVER!

Ripoff
January 26, 2016

Returned wigs I paid to ship back to them. Got a letter saying they going to donate to charity. Emailed them they said the only way I can get them back is if they haven't been shipped out to charity on top of that they said I had to pay shipping to have them returned. I bought 3 wigs that I never worn.

I had a great experience with wigs.com. They are very easy to deal with. The first wig I bought was beautiful but it wasn't for me, so I returned it for a full refund. Then I bought another wig from them which is just right.
Mistakenly I bought a second wig from www.wig.com, not www.wigs.com. Dealing with wig.com (Paula Young) was a bad experience and I won't buy from them again.

I purchased the Julianne wig for $427. After 5 wears, it started losing hair. I returned it and it took them an entire month to examine. After a months time, they said nothing was wrong with it and that I can get it shipped back for $8.
Terrible terrible service. Not only is the wig defective, they denied it being so and took an entire month to get back to me. Never use this company!

I ordered from Wigs.com TWICE! Same problem both times! I ordered and paid extra shipping, as others have stated and was NEVER notified that my order had been placed on back order.

I ask the customer service person if there is a way to tell if the wig is on back order and she says the website is being updated to say whether it is available or not. FYI it already does and I mention this. She apologizes, I cancel and we are done. Crazy! No incentive to purchase something else no offer for anything! I WILL NOT ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!

I cannot grow my own hair. I rely on a wig for daily wear. This company does NOT care for the customer!

I am reporting this company to the Texas Attorney General. I ordered a wig and nothing... nothing. Nothing. Nothing. They won't even answer the phone. Oh, dear Lord, I'm out over $300 dollars. This is thievery. I don't have a wig and there is NO COMPANY OUT THERE. Total scam.
