Many customers reported difficulties with returns, long wait times for support, and unfulfilled orders, leading to frustrations over service delays. Additionally, there are concerns regarding the integrity of pricing and product descriptions. Conversely, a few reviews highlighted positive aspects, such as a wide selection of products and user-friendly purchasing processes. Package was to be delivered to mountain home on 08/21/22. Drove up to accept delivery and at 6PM received notice that it was delayed. Spoke with Wayfair. First rep ended call. Called back and Stacy was helpful as she could be and transferred me to supervisor Brandon. Wayfair pretty much does not accept any responsibility for the shipping problems that they choose to use... not the consumer. It will cost more gas AND time to return to the mountain home to accept delivery on another day. The best they would offer is 10% off my next order... really! Do not use if you need delivery on a specific date.
Wayfair market themselves as a high-quality brand but in reality they peddle dressed-up, sweatshop garbage. One product claimed to be solid wood with some engineered wood, it was entirely chipboard with a single piece of real wood. You would be much better either going to a secondhand store for real wood or IKEA for much better quality chipboard products.
As for delivery just look at the screenshots. That was not just one order. We ended up having to cancel a dining table ordered in May as it kept being delayed and won't arrive by Christmas now.
I have ordered from Wayfair many times in the past. I have often received broken items which is always frustrating but I have had some good luck too with other items. In the past, customer service bent over backwards to assist and would provide some kind of decent discount for the hassle factor of not returning items that you can live with, even if not perfect. That is no longer the case. This time around I ordered a hard plastic deck box which is a big awkward shaped item. The box was open when it arrived (not the first time this has happened) and there was a piece broken and frankly the box looked a bit beat up. I actually wondered if it had been used or got beat up in transport from Turkey where it originated. When I went to file a complaint, I got an auto-prompt asking if I would keep it for a partial refund of 25%. I decided that for avoiding the hassle factor of returning and the fact that I needed it for a coat drive for the Mutual Aid group I volunteer with beginning now, I would take the refund. But then I got a message, we need to discuss first. Then I waited 4 days for an email, sent in photos, and was essentially told they could offer me 5%. I pushed for the originally auto-offered 25%-no budge. I told them I wouldn't have bought this in a store like this (a part broken, a bit beat up and a bit flimsy) for $90 but again, the coat drive had started and I needed to get going with it with what I had-and that I would duct tape the broken part. With that unsatifactory discount, I have since asked them to close my account. I think like many others, I continue to be disappointed in the quality of the products they sell (not all but many) and unlike the past, when they would offer a decent discount to put up with an inferior product, they are no longer willing to do so-and pretty polite yet chilly in the process. Yes, I did have the opportunity to return it but it didn't match my timeline for needing it. So since I can't count on getting a quality product the first time around and I found their resolution to be unsatisfactory, I am done with Wayfair.
I bought a sofa from Wayfair and did their 12 months same as cash. I had the month wrong of when I needed to pay it off (totally my mistake). I did not however dream they would charge me $230 interest charge for not paying it off. I only owed $133 and now owe $363. That is high way robbery and I will never order from them again! Not to mention I hate the sofa!
Boxing and product came damaged as always every time I order. Order gaming chair for my son.
Can't used the chair
A waste of time
Chair was a gift for my 16 year old son birthday this Saturday
The package was delivered to the wrong address and Wayfair refused to do anything about it. Ended up with no bookshelf and no money. Horrible customer service.
I will never order from them again...
I have placed several orders with Wayfair but the last three I have had major issues getting my Items. First, I ordered a Dyson for a gift for my wife's birthday on 8/18/22. Her birthday is 9/1. The order number is *******893. I never received the order I called Wayfair they offered an apology and said I had to wait 6 additional days before it can be reordered. Eventually it was reordered, and I received it after her birthday on 9/3/22. Placed an order on 10/15/2022 *******893. I ordered mattress cover and mattress online said I would receive both on Tuesday 10/18/2022. Logged in Tuesday system showed mattress still not shipped and mattress covered delivered to Amazon Locker. Went to my Amazon Locker and nothing was there. Went to office not there either. Called Wayfair again they told me I must wait 7 days before anything can be reordered. My neighbor then came over said she got a package and she think its mine. I did receive the mattress cover the next day. I checked Wayfair this morning because yesterday it said my mattress would be delivered today. Today it shows it was delivered to my home yesterday with a picture. On the picture is not my home or my door. We have Ring security system. I stay in a Highrise checked my address on the shipment and it's correct. It was just delivered to the wrong address. I called Wayfair spoke with Tiffany Customer Service Agent and she then transfers me to Tabitha Supervisor. Again, there isn't anything that they can do to get me my mattress ASAP. I threw my old mattress out so we now will be sleeping on the floor for 13 days or so or until you guys decided to resend my mattress. This is unacceptable and not fair to the consumer. This is the third bad experience I have with ordering through Wayfair. I will not be ordering again as to having so many issues and no one is ever able to expedite a resolution or really help the Supervisor/ Manger says the exact same thing the agents say. I really like Wayfair and my wife, and I have ordered in past and had no issues at all so not sure why I am having all the issues now. When calling FEDEX they are no help an endless loop of recordings. I am very disappointed in the service I have received and would not recommend anyone to order through you.
I gave 1 star if i have option i will give zero. Customer service is very rude they are not professional at all. They need to close down in canada. Worse quality of the product and what they show on website in real it is totally opposite and fake product. Please don't order from wayfair and please report so they can stop in canada.
I purchased a lot from Wayfair over the years and I started to notice things I bought were for sale cheaper at other stores. They would charge $250 for a lamp, for example, that was $99 at Amazon. The things I would receive also came damaged a lot. I don't want to pay hundreds for damaged merchandise so I'd request a return. They always told me to keep the damaged merchandise and they would offer me a full refund. Sounds great, huh? Well, I thought so too until one day, I purchased a solid wood accent table for $500 and it came crushed. Drawer wouldn't open, top was cracked, cabinet door off its hinges, just completely unusable. They wouldn't allow me a return, even though I had pictures proving it was destroyed. They said my account had been "flagged" for too many returns. Excuse me? I didn't write the store policy, I just did what they told me to. They said my business was no longer welcome and I threw out the "attorney" word so they gave me "one last refund as a courtesy" but they demanded instead of keeping the damaged accent table, that I package up its pieces and mail it back. I told them that's fine, I didn't want to keep the damaged item in the first place. Then I was told I was not allowed to return anything again in the future and if I was to purchase anything, it had to be over the phone with the manager. Yeah that's not happening... no thanks wayfair, I'll take my business elsewhere. I never asked to keep the damaged returns, THEY TOLD ME TO. I'm not some thief and I'm not poor either. I have 7 figures in my bank account and I live in an 8 bedroom house. I don't need to steal to have nice things. I have never been talked down to and told my money isn't welcome at a store before. Do yourself a favor and shop ANYWHERE but here. If they did this to me, they'll do it to you too. *** side note: my neighbor just told me they don't even offer full returns anymore on anything? It's like 33% refund and you keep the broken merchandise. What is wrong with these people?!
I purchased a bed frame for my son as a gift in September. My credit card was charged on October 3rd. Since then I've gotten nothing but a run around saying there was bad weather, the item was lost in transit, etc. etc. The bottom line is I still have NOTHING but have already been charged. They're now saying they'll ship a replacement but haven't done so yet. They claim they sent an email but I miraculously never got one (not in my junk, deleted, inbox, nothing). They've made no attempt to make this right in any way. I've initiated all contact with them - they have never reached out to me with any kind of update or apology. So, now I'm stuck waiting again, hoping they actually ship the product that they charged me for weeks ago.
VERY DISAPPOINTED no returns after 30 days NO EXCEPTIONS... bought item for new home... took 30 days to move in... lost money.
Ordered a recliner chair, received a shipping and delivery date. Dates came and went, no chair. Called customer service 3 days straight, always an excuse... FedEx didn't pick up... put an alert to watehouse... following up with our shipping team, blah, blah, blah. Here's the kicker, tho... when I went to cancel my order for the bull$#*!... that said it has shipped (but they can't track it) so I can't cancel my order! WTF! I asked to speak to a supervisor, and about 10 min later they said I could cancel for a $50 restocking fee! What a piece of $#*! company. I'll never even think about trying this company again, (was 1st time), and tell everyone I know how they suck
Looking at average reviews for this company ( 1.6 out of 5), I'm not alone in this assessment. Be warned, if you still choose to use this company.
Horrible. Absolutely zero transparency in their return police. I purchased some shelves from them and they want $43 for the shipping return. I read the return policy prior to purchasing and saw nothing stating that they would take a restocking fee or any sort of percentage. The box isn't even large. I've purchased a lot of furniture online and have never paid $43 for shipping. If they stated this in their return policy, I never would have purchased the product to begin with. How does it feel stealing hard earned money from your customers, wayfair?
I was happy to find matching units for my living room. It is excellent. I am hopeful that the assembly team will help the delivery person to get things in order and that it will fit my busy lifestyle. I believe the durable and versatile styles, materials and colors will last for sometime. The value is great for the money. The shipping fee is negligible. ALso, the time for delivery was just as quick as if in-store shopping had occured. I
I wish I can rate NIL to Wayfair. Please be cautious to purchase from Wayfair. I purchased a sofa at the end of August 2022 but by 10 October 2022 this sofa has not been able to be assembled due to legs not fitted to arms. The Wayfair team hasn't been actively to help me resolve the issue. The sofa I paid for two months ago is a total rubbish at all.
A disaster! Very poorly made, difficult to put together! SOOO disappointed.
We had purchased a window storage bench previously and were very happy. This bench is horrendous. I doubt we will purchase another item from Wayfair.
We bought several household goods from Wayfair. We paid and the order never arrived. We followed up and our email address was incorrect, so after days of back and forth we got them to correct it. But since then our order has been put on "hold" and no one across channels can tell us if it will arrived or be released. This is fraud. My advice - do not buy from Wayfair. I am not sure whether this is just some of the worst customer service I have seen or fraud. But I am going to make sure the media knows.
I ordered a bathroom vanity on October 3 of this year. Wayfair said it would come between October 6 and 8. On October 6 they sent an email saying UPS couldn't deliver furniture, so they would use a freight carrier and it would be another week to ten days. (Of course they knew UPS doesn't deliver furniture to start with.) Tracking it later, the estimated date was October 20. I tried to cancel, but they said it was already on a truck in South Carolina and I couldn't cancel. Later I got another email saying it wouldn't come till November 1. Today is October 9, and their website promises this item will get to the customer in 5 days. I think this company is dishonest in the information they give out and the excuses they give as to why they don't send an order right away.
Having a staging business …. I have relied on Wayfair in the past…. And they have delivered great customer service
However in the last few years things have changed for the absolute Worst in the creation of the resolutions team. There is 0 support from that department.
Beware!,,,…. Take your business elsewhere. Not the company they used to be.
We discovered Wayfair before they had commercials, 10+ years ago. My most recent experiences have taken it from amazing, to truly bad.
You will almost certainly receie items without clear instructions, and often, screws are missing. The prices are also inflated now, and where they once had the best prices, it's important to search elsewhere before you buy. Who wants to spend more than others on the same products?
Understand, I write this review having shopped with them for 10+ years, and we have spent thousands on a wide multitude of products. They will no longer get our business, and I say this to save others: BUYER BEWARE.
Last, but certainly not least, we ordered a bed and assembly and a frame. This was for a new home--so it meant the difference between sleeping on an airbed, or a real one.
It never came.
Other items came late.
I spent hours on the phone with multiple reps, and was finally told to cancle and reorder everything. My compensation was to be a full refund (again--the bed never even left the warehouse), a 10% discount on my next orders and refunds for other items that no longer worked for us.
I spoke to many, but the agent, Toni, who offered to help and made apologies, fell flat on her word. I have followed up with calls and emails, because, surprise, surprise, after checking on her promises a month later, not only was I refunded far less than the purchase prices, the discount and the $100 credit didn't go through.
AVOID THEM.
They are simply not the business they used to be--the one that made them big in the first place. Sad to say, but they went the route that less reputable businesses greedy for profit go--you get far less, pay more and the service is deceitful.
I regret a recent order from them, but it's my last. Other, more reputable and trustworthy businesses will profit from my spending.
Answer: Allison, Yes, the box that the floor lamp came in did have a picture of the lamp on it. I would ask when you order. I hope this helps. James.
Answer: No, they will take returns, but you pay fees. As for poor quality, I guess we just swallow it.
Answer: From my experience, this is company is to be avoided. Sounds like your life will be hectic enough for awhile so you don't need additional stress. Buy elsewhere is my advice.
Answer: Need to call Customer Service ( a/k/a Customer Disservice) about any issue. Expect to be disappointed, but they may honor it. Best to avoid Wayfair in the future.
Answer: Suggest calling Customer Service aka Customer disservice. A word of advice: buy elsewhere; anywhere else. This Co. Just does not care.
Answer: Obviously their mission to become popular has worked. They don't need to be a good company anymore. They will take the money and run. When the time is right, they will close up shop and reopen with a new name. It is hard to find a business with integrity anymore.
Answer: Stay away. They do not follow up to make things right concerning your order.
Answer: Call customer service (aka customer disservice). This company should be avoided. Deal with a reputable Co like Amazon or its partners, They care.
Answer: I wouldn't order anything big from Wayfair. I had to order the same product 3 times, and each time, the product was damaged. Wayfair rhymes with nightmare for a reason.
