After many years of opting with Wayfair as a cost efficient home furniture supplier, I've learnt the hard way that it's better to put up more money for higher quality and safer products.

I recently bought a table that had one minor fault to its structure, affecting its stability and I foolishly accepted an offered discount. Unfortunately, a few weeks later, this manufacturing fault resulted in the table nearly collapsing. I contacted Wayfair to see if they had an alternative solution: replacement, refund, credit on my account - and I was told that nothing could be done as I accepted their discount.

Sure, I could've asked for a refund or replacement when I first identified the issue, though it looked like the table would still function and I was wrong.

Due to their unwillingness to offer a more customer-considerate solution, and the fact that I've had other quality issues with products in the past (chairs and a rug) - I'm no longer using Wayfair for anything and I'm offering this experience to any who haven't yet been burnt - to not buy from this reseller.

Watch them, they charged my account $15.00 more than what my invoice was for. Then cancelled order right after that And now can't get my money back for something I'll never get. This is a $300 purchase. Do not order from Wayfair

Won't let me return

I purchased a light fixture from them, my reno ran late and my electrician won't hang it due to code issues and now i am past the 30 day mark and Wayfair won't let me return it. Awful customer service. Will never buy from them again

A shopping nightmare

I ordered a wine rack on Dec.16th to be delivered on the 26th. When I went to check on the status I found that it was placed on a"hold" status So I called customer service to find out what was going on. Now mind you I have ordered from them before with no issues. I have never returned anything either. I was quite satisfied with what I had received. Customer service tells me the reason it's on "hold" because of scams. What? So they said someone will reach out to try to resolve this. In the meantime no one had even communicated to me that there was an issue. This morning I get a pretty nasty email saying that they canceled my order and that obviously Wayfair is not a good fit for me. WTF us that about! I'm so dumbfounded! They also said not to ever order from them again! I have never encountered anything like this in my life! I am beyond pissed! So I say this to Wayfair: Kiss my white $#*!!

Still waiting on delivery

Ordered a crib and dresser on Nov 24, said it would be delivered Dec 1. Called and received an email it would ship on Dec 16, still no delivery. Their website says if order today Dec 26 it will be delivered by Dec 30. Not sure when or if I will receive my order. Frustrating as I ordered on black Friday when they were on sale and now all stores have them much more expensive. My advice, order elsewhere.

Tells me - No business with me

Ordered something On Black Friday and delivery was On hold status for more than 1 month. Throughout the 1 month i check in with 2-3 customer service who couldnt answer me or let me know any status. Ask for 1 discount code that i was not able to add at checkout. After that, they lead me to executive resolution team who tells me that i should buy from a brick n mortar shop instead without any reason but only based on my history of purchase. Have been purchasing with them for several years now.

So angry with my cancelled orders with them. I have also gone ahead to cancel any pending on hold delivery order with them which i waited more than 1 month and no status update. In my urgent situation for house renovation i cannot choose to wait like this. I had read their fb reviews comments by others and realise i am not alone. Amazon does it better even though the shipping is pricey..

Double paid

Tryed to order on line kept saying order canceled. So I called placed my order on the phone then was charged for the two online orders as well as the phone order. So they refunded one but now I'm stuck with two orders no use calling I've called 10 times allways someone different and no results. I will never use them again first and last time I made an 800.00 mistake.

Christmas Tree not delivered

I did not request a refund but was refunded with an email as below. DO NOT PURCHASE TIME SENSITIVE ITEMS FROM WAYFAIR. A complete waste of time. I ordered a Christmas tree 2 weeks before Christmas and was told it would shop with in a week. A week passed. I called. Was told item not shipped and the dates given are estimates. I was told I would get a call back. No one called me until I saw the email below. Very script driven answers given with responding to questions at hand. TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT AVOID WAYFAIR.

I cannot begin to tell you how disappointing my last few interactions with Wayfair have been! They used to be very concerned with customer service, but the more they grow, the less they care. The last straw for me was one of my more recent purchases...I ordered a set of 2 chairs on October 18 with an estimated delivery day of Oct 22. I received an email that the chairs were on Backorder with an estimated delivery date of Dec 7. December 7th came and went and still no chair or notification. I called and spoke to someone who said that they would look into it and get back to me...days went by and I finally had to reach out again. When I finally spoke to a Wayfair employee, they assured me that they would get to the bottom of it. She informed me that although I had ordered a set of 2 chairs, the price I paid was for one. Mind you, the price I paid was the price on Wayfair! She informed me that the price difference from what I paid was over $1000...well, the set of 2 chairs (since my purchase to date) have ranged from $500-$572...I paid $283, so clearly not anywhere close to a difference of $1000. I called and left a voicemail and an email with Amy Gonzalez, the representative who had called and emailed me this incorrect information. After 6 days with no response by phone or email, I sent another email. This time, I received an email from Latasha W, stating the same incorrect information and that they were going to cancel my order (the one I have been waiting for for over 2 months). So once again I called and this time I was put in contact with a supervisor, Elizabeth, and she told me that Wayfair has the right to cancel any order regardless if it is their fault or not and that they would give me 15% off the chairs, which does not even cover how much they have gone up with the 'correct' price since after my purchase. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars with Wayfair as well as sending several clients to them each year...not anymore. Wayfair's obvious lack of concern or willingness to make things right will have me taking my business to someplace that actually values my business. This is sadly just one example of many disappointing experiences with Wayfair as of late.

Hefty return fee

I received my mug in a huge box full of plastic and that really was upsetting. The mug was not what I expected and when i went to return it, they asked for $12.00. I find it very hard to believe that this is okay but because why would i have to keep something if its not as described and pay 12.00 to return it. I will never by from Wayfair again.

Customer Service is the worst

Will never order from Wayfair again. I ordered a rug that Fedex lost and was never delivered. Wayfair would not track it, give a refund, or even attempt to make it right. As my reward I was told I would have to pay $75 to return it if it ever showed up. I am out over $350 and nobody has made it right. Still have no rug 2 weeks later. Never again. Wayfair is the worst.

This company reminds me of a bait and switch store. Every item I've ever bought from this company... Never, I mean never! Looks like the picture they display. It looks cheap washed out or to little. If you want to return it, it will cost you a arm and a legg. I wanted to return some shower curtains. I paid like $27.00 dollars for they said they will take $15.00 off for shipping. They're ridiculous. The shower curtains look like a blanket. Looks nothing like their picture. I couldn't believe my eyes. I kid you not! I bought some chairs for my living room... they look like kids chairs. Just imagine if I had to send those back. It would cost more than the chairs. Never again will I shop here!

I order chairs n a couch.when assembled they looked uneven and a piece of fabric was hanging from one. Couch cushion seem lumpy and very uncomfortable. When I called to express my concerns after speaking with serveral people they fell on death ears. The representative was rude and the manager was just as rude. They told me I had to pay shipping on each piece of the item. And refuse to wave the fee for shipping due to the item being damage with fabric and the chairs are uneven and make sounds when u sit on one. I will not buy from there again

Horrible experience with Wayfair back in 2019 and Now Again in 2022 hoping they would have changed for the better I now see they Changed for the worse still haven't received my refund its been over 3 weeks

If you don't want the horrible experience I had consider shopping elsewhere

I placed and order 11/28/22 for one of Wayfair's cyber Monday deal. Now clearly there was limited stock because the colors were selling out fast, so I made sure to place my order. I have since talked to customer service twice, been told three different dates it would be sent out. First they said they were waiting on UPS to pick it up, then gave my a tracking number, but come to find out from UPS it was the return number. I demanded to speak to a supervisor which he promised to give me a call by Monday 12/12 the latest with an update and has not returned my follow up emails since he never called! In the meantime I get an email from Wayfair the item is now back ordered! This place is a joke and I hope no one uses their services. Anyone thinking of buying anything from them, don't! They just make sure to take your money and run!

They charged me $80 to return an end table less than 12. Hours after they delivered it. Need I say more? I asked why such a high 'postage' charge. Answer: just because we shipped it for free to you doesn't mean it won't cost you to return jt. Item was about $450 so they charged me 20% of the value to return it….item was return absolutely unused in its original box. I returned it because the picture on the Wayfair website was misleading: it showed as metal and it's bright gold.

Ordered a make up table and was due on the 14-16th December 12December today and I get told backorder will arrive on the 04-march even though I was told on the customer chat on Saturday the 10th that they had a few in stock and will definitely arrive. Not one but helpful on the refund I told them I needed the table for Christmas and they gave me alternative so when I chose one which was completely still in the cost of the other one. They said they would have to cancel my order for the refund and asked me to pay for the new one but my refund will take a few days complete and utter jokes this company is and I wouldn't hold my breath on the order arriving in the case as a present throughout the year as my friend had the same experience in July.

Nice Chair But...

Ordered a nice "easy" chair for my 2ny floor bedroom. It arrived...on the sidewalk 3 steps up from the front door. 80 pound box...Since I'm 80 years old. Managed to get it indoors, opened the box and now I got 300 pieces to assemble. Never again, Wayfair to the bottom of the Pacific, better yet out of business and in prison. The pox upon you...
