Avoid these guys. I sent my Bertucci watch to them for a variety of work. Cost me over $200. When I got the watch back, they said that it had failed the "pressure" test and was no longer water resistant and that any exposure to steam, water, moisture would harm the watch and their warranty would be void. Kind of suspicious because they had replaced all the gaskets and seals. I ended up just buying a new on Bertucci on line. Cost me $150.
I feel like a fool for trusting my keepsake Breitling, my late son's watch, to your business. I had to send it back once already, after you initially kept it for 3 months and charged me $1600. I had it 2 days and it had the same problem in that it just stopped running.
Now after a couple of weeks, the same problem occurred last night. Ironically, or perhaps a pure stoke of luck, this comments questionaire is emailed to me before I can call your company.
I will request my money back so I can take it elsewhere.
You said you repaired my older model moved and put in a longer lasting battery but the battery you said you replaced could not be new. My watch after receiving if rom you shows it has slowed down to about an hour and 20 mi9n behind the actual time. I have rested it twice. This is unacceptable. What can you do to fix this? I would really like to wear this beautiful timepiece. It is the gold Moved older than 2000.
I should have known. Free shipping and then they want $400 and took a month to return the watch which cost $17 and is now non functional because they broke off the adjustment knob. What can you do with people like this.
They have ruined my Movado watch which originally cost $1000.

Brian P, please provide me with your 6 digit ticket repair number and I will look into this further. We provided you with a complimentary prepaid shipping label and estimate. The shipping costs are based on the amount you wanted to have the watch insured for at the time of signing up.

I've had a number of watches repaired by Watch Repairs USA. I'm generally satisfied with the repairs, although one or two of the watches have stopped working. The latest repair seems to be running normally.
Thank you for the nice review and let us know if you need any additional services. Our work is backed by our 1 year common sense warranty. Let us know if we can assist in any way.
All I needed was a battery and a silicone band replaced. It took 2 months and that band was absolute trash. It was a kids watch band. If they could not replace it with the original, they should have said so. Additionally the scratched the watch on both side putting that cheap band on. I'm so disappointed as this was a watch in pristine condition owned by my dad, he wore it twice to to each of my sisters weddings. Now I have paperweight. I will not use or recommend them again. Not worth the hassle if the watch come back in worse condition than you sent it. I expected the same band, if they didn't have it, they should have said so, and I would have had them send it back. I don't mind paying for a service, just don't jerk me around and give me a $5 band and scratch the watch.

Thank you for the feedback Michael. I have reviewed your estimate for repair #322657. The original band for your timepiece has been discontinued. The estimate clearly states that this was a substitute band that was being used: Replacement rubber strap + installation. (Substitute). The only work completed was changing the band, battery and gaskets. The watch was shipped back in the same condition it was received.
I recently sent this Vendor a Howard Pocket Watch that has been in my family for almost 90 years and had belonged to my grandfather. I sent it to them based on recommendations of a friend and research on the Web.
The communication between us was kept open as repairs proceeded and expected return. The watch was returned, and all repairs and cleaning done as requested. I have nothing but great things to say about Watch Repair U.S. A
I have a couple of other watches to be repaired and will be sending soon and I have faith that they will be handled in the same manner
Hi Steve. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with our company and your repaired watch. We would be happy to service any other watch of yours in the future.
Watch runs for awhile then stops. I sent you a email with what the problem was. The negative prong is bent causing a bad connection. I am on vacation and will send watch back for repair. Not happy that watch was not fixed in.
Sent my guess watch for battery and repair 2/28/2020. Repair status remains unchanged as of today 8/3/2020. One or 2 e-mails from them about 4 months ago claiming Covid-19 as the reason. Since then, no return e-mails, no status updates, no watch. They have my Money and MY Watch. I call that THEFT. What do you call it? 0 stars If I could.

To be honest to you the repair man did a very good job but only one thing that is why I gave 3 stars because it takes too long to get my watch back. Furthermore, it looks like you don't trust your customer for the payment. You have to wait until the check was clear before fixing the watch. That is why it take so long to get my watch back.
I sent a watch for a simple repair - to have the bracelet shortened (it was too big). While they did take a link out they did not adjust the clasp to maximum length so now the watch band is too small for my wrist. As well, the cost of shipping was very expensive. They could have at least buffed the watch a bit and cleaned it up externally just as a courtesy. I get better service on an oil change. Not very satisfied.
Thank you for the feedback and review Seth. Please contact our customer service department at customercare@watchrepairsusa.com or contact us via phone at 847-458-7474 and include your 6 digit repair number and we will follow up with you.
Our shipping is based on the insurance value that you selected at the time of requesting the repairs to your timepiece. We provided you with a complimentary prepaid shipping label to have your watch sent in.

After asking them to send my watch back (see previous review for the issues I had) I received it today. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they went ahead and replaced the battery then reset and calibrated the chronographic functions. My watch is working perfectly! AND... they did this at NO CHARGE AND WITHOUT ME EVEN ASKING.
Based on this latest turn of events, I really must revise my initial rating. Call it 4-1/2. I would have given them a well earned 5 stars except for the initial round of confusion.
But still, I have to say that it speaks very well of Watch Repairs USA to have taken the high road on this. I plan to send them payment for the services they performed (again, they sent me a $0 invoice!) and, based on what they did for me, would try them again. Perhaps my issues were a simple glitch... okay by me. Happy to move past this.
Thank you for the feedback and review Mike P. We appreciate your business and enjoyed working on your repair.
Sent my Chase Durer Fighter Command watch in. They had it about a month then sent me an email telling me that they had to replace the battery and "tune" the movement...$100. BUT - they clearly stated that they didn't know if the new battery would solve the problem - which it almost certainly will not as the watch was not working correctly before the battery died. I called and asked them to put a battery in the watch to see if it would work... any old used battery that was still good... THEN give me a real quote to repair it. They refused. Obviously they want me $100 in to force me to accept an expensive repair. So, I am having the watch returned ($20 just to do that!). What a scam. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
I have sent my watch in for repair three times and each time it comes back a little bit worse. The first time, it was cleaned and running but with issues. The second time, it came back with the issues still there but some debris under the watch face. The third time, I'm not even sure they took it out of the box. This place is a scam and should be shut down. I'll be writing to the manufacturer of my watch (Ulysse Nardin) to advise them that they should rescind their authorized repair status (if they ever really granted it).
I told them what their competitor charged how much to replace the battery and oring. They would not give their estimate till I sent it in to them. It was MORE! Lost $20+ having it mailed back to me not serviced. LiL Darlings! Stay away from these people!
Mike K, we do not provide estimates over the phone. This is the reason we provide you with a complimentary prepaid shipping label and free estimate for you repairs. The return shipping cost is based on the amount you wanted to insure your watch for. If you had a cheaper shipping option, we would have removed the shipping in exchange for a prepaid UPS, USPS or FedEx shipping label.
I received the watch very clean and was very happy to get it back. A few hours later, I clumsily dropped the watch onto a carpeted floor: a distance of about two feet. The second hand popped off the center post. I took it elsewhere for repair. It was discovered that the dial had been glued to the movement and several of the screws in the movement had been scratched. It is possible that Watch Repairs did not cause the damage done inside the watch case but I will not be using that company for any further service I may require. I will file it under lessons learned.
The process of getting two of my watches repaired was straightforward and efficient. In my case, I live relatively close to Watch Repairs USA office and was able to drop off and pick-up my watches. Both watches are running well and look great.
They said they could repair my watch so I went ahead and paid for the repair work. When they sent the watch back it ran slow so I returned it to them. Once more they sent it back running slow. The watch ran so slow that it was obvious that they did not even check it before sending it back to me. When I asked for a refund they said they don't guarantee their work - so they obviously lied when they said they could repair it. I then sent the watch to a verified repair center which fixed the watch and reported that Watch Repairs USA had not only installed a defective mechanism, they had scratched the face of the watch. Check the BBB warning for them. They have been reported to the Illinois Attorney General Consumer Fraud unit. Hopefully someone will put these people in jail.
The company did a nice job on replacing crystal that was broken on my
Favorite watch. They cleaned up the watch and replaced the battery. It did take a
While to get the watch back, but I'm ok with that. Also pleased with the mailing and price.
Hi Carol. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with our company. We would be happy to service any other watch of yours in the future.
I have asked about my watch on numerous occassions and they keep telling me it will be shipped in a couple days. I called and they don't even know where the watch is, in NY or Chicago. It is an expensive watch and i want it back.
The only thing they were to do was clean and repair the clip on the ban.
The lady i talked with was very short with me and no help at all other that the same,
Watch is finished and ready to ship. Hope to get it in a week.
Do not send your watch to these people.

I sent my Oris in for repair. Their estimate was twice as much as it should have been, so I asked them to please return the watch. They sent the watch back, but without the crown. I called repeatedly and got emails from Thomas, their "Cusstomer Service Manager" (notice the spelling- can't even get "customer" spelled right, so do you think they care about customer service!?). He sent a picture of the crown in a bag, but not in the box they shipped, so he could have sent any picture and said multiple times they will not send a crown. I guess he thinks I am trying to scam them out of a crown. If I was trying to get something for free, it would not have been a crown lol! Anyway, I am trying to get to the owners and explain what happened. I'll mention what a poor job Tom is doing too, based on the feedback scores on this site, not ONE positive!
Thanks for the feedback and review Sal. As we have previously communicated with you and provided you photos of the crown in a separate bag enclosed into the main bag. Please check the area where you opened your package as the crown was sent back to you.
Answer: They are a real company, just a horrible and unethical one
Answer: Watch Repairs USA is responsible to actually repair the watch and send it back. As of today Watch Repair USA has my money AND my Watch. It was sent on February 27,2020. Today is August 3rd 2020. I filled everything out correctly and got the first e-mail saying my watch and order was received. The 'STATUS'has remained unchanged for 4+ months as çheck back or we will send you an e-mail for the update. SO far NOTHING and no reply from the company to my e-mail inquiries. SO can't blame the customer for this. Sounds like THEFT to me!
Thank you for the feedback and review Jeff. I have reviewed repair #323292 and your watch is not water resistant. We do not guarantee that you timepiece will pass this test and only provide you with the results for the test. Failure to pass the water resistance test can result from a number of things including: age of the watch and condition of the timepiece.
