I have a script for progressive lenses (bifocals) and I wanted reading glasses but they sent me lasses for distance instant and then offered to I've me a $20 discount on the correct lens after the hassle. Insulting. I will be going back to the mall store instead.
It took 23 days for delivery of a single pair of glasses. My vision was poor with my old glasses, so I was in a hurry for the new ones. I live on a busy city street, but the glasses were tracked Undeliverable and returned to their lab. Many phone calls and emails later, 11 days after the promised date of delivery, I have glasses. I will not do business with Warby Parker anymore. On the plus side, it was easy to reach customer service reps who helped along the way.
I made an appointment a week ago for eye exam and new glasses. No where on the pages I visited to make this appointment asked about insurance. I drove 45 minutes one way just to find out this P.O.S. Doesn't take my insurance. To top this of they said I can still get my exam and submit an out of network claim. This claim will get me 40 cents on the dollar they are going to charge me. This is $#*!ing bull$#*!. This is a scam.
Every other well known eye glass company asked about insurance except for these $#*!.
I am 36 and never had to wear glasses until now. I went to the Warby Parker store in Philadelphia and explained I never purchased glasses before. They helped me pick out frames to fit and compliment my face shape. My glasses with a single vision prescription and blue light filtering were $145. I did not pay for fast shipping, but my glasses arrived in only 6 days, rather than the 7-10 they said it would take.
I love the glasses and had a great experience.
I love the fact that you get 5 pairs to try on at home and the ease of sending back. Found a pair so decided to try doing this online. Over all I am happy with my purchase, but I expected a follow up email asking how I liked them. They were so prompt before and during the purchase but afterwards nothing.
Bait and switch tactics to the max awful store shame on you you are robbing the poorest of the poorest with ur $79.00 ad cost$399 frame than $105 exam
Total rip off avoid them at all cost bad bad place
There are cheaper glasses out there, but these were pretty cheap (and yes, I know they're made in China). I paid $125 for frames with prescription lenses. The frames were OK quality, looked pretty nice, but no matter what I did, they just didn't fit that well and felt weird. They also creak a lot.
The lenses, which I paid extra to upgrade, were either slightly off in production or prescription. When I switch between them and my old raybans I bought from Target, there is a CLEAR difference in clarity. I don't think I'll buy from them again, unfortunately, because I really wanted to like them!
Finally got my frames after two months but they are so big I cant move without them falling off. Their solution was to speak over their technicians online to help me get them fixed. BIGGEST waste of money
My Warby Parker order took an extra 20 days to get to me. You can blame the USPS, but they never received the order package. So ultimately, it's on Warby Parker's end.
The frames are a B- and the lenses are pretty good.
I have to mention again that it took another half month to get my glasses.
If you want to get new glasses, I would not recommend Warby Parker, unless you want them to get lost in the post, and have to wait an extra half month to get your glasses.
Not worth the 200+ dollars you will spend.
The only good thing about WB is the customer service.
I just recently ordered my glasses from Warby Parker in Dallas Texas. Paid for the "expedited Shipping" which is a TOTAL waste of money, they failed to inform me that they ONLY work on business days. I did not find this out until i checked the status of my order due to it stat is "working on it" status for 3-4 days. Finally after chatting/talking to representatives would not receive my glasses until the following week. Also the manager i spoke with on the phone was unhelpful, as she kept repeating there is nothing i can do for you, you will have to just wait for the glasses to show up. Did not empathize about the lack of communication that was given to me at the time of my purchase, she did not offer to call the department to check to see if they would be shipping that day either. The lack of customer service with this company is awful i was better off going to a big box store and paid a little bit if not double for my glasses.
This will be my store of choice for the rest of my life! The store has so many frame options and in addition, the frames come in narrow, average, and wide which was especially helpful because I struggle to find well fitting frames for my narrow face. What came as the most pleasant surprise was the amazing quality of customer service. When I first got my glasses they made me dizzy. They worked with me and my eye doc to make sure my prescription was correct. After things not getting fixed (due to my eye doc), I switched docs, got a new prescription, and they happily replaced the lenses so I can now use my glasses. Most of all, they didnt charge me for the lens replacement or shipping and handling. They processed the new prescription and sent out a new pair before I returned the old pair. The staff were kind, easy to work with, and great at explaining what they were doing on their end. I love love this company.
I found their website so easy to use. It was fun and simple to pick out trial frames and... poof... they showed up very quickly. I had no problem uploading my prescription and when I needed a couple questions answered, customer service was fantastic. I received my new glasses a few days ago - I love them.
This company markets a product that is average quality and a bit pricey for the product you get. Anything other than a standard single view prescription is way too expensive. I prefer to just take it up the proverbial you know what and buy really good quality frames and lenses at an optical shop.
I did buy a pair of non-scrip sunglasses that I really like, but they were just as expensive as Ray Ban.
Ordered two pair of glasses with progressive lenses and everything worked. Ordered another pair, had to call after 14 days and was told order would be expedited. Had to call again a week later only to be told that it may have been lost. Customer service is super helpful and friendly, but they can't seem to get orders made and shipped.
I have ordered 4 pairs of glasses, single lens and progressives, a free try-on and I had to interact with customer service regarding my PD. The people at WP have been professional and friendly and a pleasure to work with. I wrote this review after reading some of the others that reflected negatively on the company. I think some of those reviews are fake. They give inaccuracies about ordering etc. I have recommended WP to several other folks, they have been as happy as I have.
I have two pair of glasses, both from Warby Parker. Both pairs, I'm am completely pleased with. The first pair I got was in store, the second, I ordered online after doing the in home try-on.
I had a few questions that I was able to ask in the chat option available on the website, also through email. Customer service is great. What the company stands for, all together, is great.
I saw another comment from a person saying, they didn't like the face that hey would be liable for glasses not returned from the home try-on. Why would you not be liable? Its literally the easiest thing. You pick out glasses, they get sent to you, try them on, then send them back with the return label included!
I would (and have) definitely recommend them!
I was excited to try Warby Parker. I didn't order online but walked into one of their stores. This is the only reason I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1. The store was cool but the selection was cheap like the frames you get off the rack at banana republic or some other big retail store. I decided to take the risk and got a pair of frames with lenses. Well it's true, you get what you pay for. The lens kept popping out and the sides of the frames feel way to wide. I hate I wasted my money on this. I went back to my eye doctor and bought glasses through her. I paid a little more but at least the frame is comfortable and doesn't fall apart. I'm sticking with my local eye doctor from now on.
We bought a number of glassware pieces from Warby Parker previously. However, my last prescription pairs was a disaster. We bought their new concentric model with the blue hue. Well, they sent us a pair which obviously looks like it was used already - with both the model name and their own WP print faded. We sent two pics and it took them several days to come back to us to say they would replace it. Well, after several days of waiting, they sent us a new pairs and guess what - it was the brown one (not blue as what we wanted). Again, after another set of email exchanges, they then sent us another set... after four weeks. We asked to have their founders to address the issue. Of course, no comment from them. We ended up having to go back to their local stores several times to have the pairs adjusted. Their local staff is great, however. Their quality control is EXTREMELY poor as evidenced by what experienced. Buyers beware... They were used to be good.
The fact that Warby Parker needs to know a clients annual income, my race, and the size of their customer's family is very suspicious. When coupled with the fact that every time one opens the app they are prompted to take another survey is beyond suspect, and proof the company is actually just data miners using cheap eyewear as a means to collect that data.
I will never order from them again. I ordered like a month ago and everyday they email me asking me yet another freaking question. I just want my glasses! I took a pic of my prescription just like they told me to. So why all the back and forth.
Please do yourselves a huge favor and skip this company. NOT worth the hassle... they are totally incompetent.
Answer: $95-$145 for single vision depending on the frame material.
Answer: Save the heartache and go to a better provider. I ordered progressives and could not see out of them. I went back 5 times and they wouldn't correct the lenses. After the first 3 visits, they made me go back to the Optometrist to check the prescription. I did that, and they still said the problem was the prescription, so I went to another optometrist who also said the prescription was good. When I took that info back to Warby Parker, the said they can't make glasses for me. I asked for my money back and am still waiting.
