It seems like a scam to me that they sent me 30 boxes of contact lenses that I bought, with an expiration date of less than one year. Why130 didn't they warn me before shipping the glasses? They send me what they have to throw away. Abusive
First time I've used this company and very happy with how quickly it came after they verified my optometrist prescription which was also very quick.
It was a pleasant surprise to find out that 1-800-GET-LENS was able to fill a prescription for Rigid Gas Permeable lenses. Ordering was simple, price was good, delivery was fast and lenses fit perfectly.
Was super surprised on how fast I received my contacts through the mail! Last year I ordered contacts through Standard Optical & I never received them going into the new year & got a partial refund when I never got my order! But with 1-800-contacts, it was way affordable, super easy, & way reliable! Highly recommend.
The checkout procedure seemed a little harder than it needed to be and I didn't realize until I hit the enter button that the $85 discount is not a discount at all, but a prepaid charge card that you may or may not get in 10 to 12 weeks if you jump through all the hoops, they require in the application.
Not the lowest price but still competitive and I just got tired of shopping. Especially the ones that add a $186 processing fee to mail 4 boxes of contacts:-)

To be honest, the rebates caught my eye when I did a Google search.

Ordered these in Jan. Had to resend the prescription 3 times - finally spoke to a girl who couldn't understand the prescription so I canceled the order. Got a call back and spoke to a great knowledgeable woman reordered - she called me twice to make sure everything was correct I'm confident we are good
Weeks go by, I email to ask status - and I'm told to be patient HARD CONTACT LENSES take time - maybe they do I don't know I ordered SAFETY GLASSES...they arrived to day, lenses good - frames correct - safety shields MIA - did I triple check in FEB that the shields come - was told of course standard they are safety glasses...but they didn't come - super frustrated would not order again

After discovering his unconventional sales method, Ciba Vision Corporation, now known as Alcon, refused to sell contact lenses to him.
Undeterred by the refusal, Billie was forced to acquire lenses from other sources, albeit at a higher cost. His perseverance paid off in May 1997, when Contact Lens Depot Inc and other mail-order providers won a significant victory. Ciba Vision settled allegations with 26 state attorney generals that they had illegally inflated prices to sell its products to discount contact lens distributors. The settlement allowed Contact Lens Depot to drop its prices by 30 percent, a massive win for the company and its customers. Similar lawsuits against Johnson & Johnson and Bausch & Lomb Inc followed the case against Ciba Vision.
Amidst these legal triumphs, Contact Lens Depot achieved $1.4 million in annual sales in 2001 and transformed, adopting the memorable name 1-800-GET-LENS.
