Absolutely horrible customer service. I rented a movie that stopped working in the middle. All other internet sites and video sites (youtube, amazon, etc) worked no problem at the time so this was clearly their issue. I contacted support and asked for a reset of the movie so I could finish. Instead they sent me a list of 20 things about my computer and network that they said they needed before they could 'consider' my request. I jumped through their hoops out of principle and sent the info... then no response despite multiple follow-ups over a period of over month. Bottom line, they just wanted to give me busy work in hopes that would get rid of me. Stealing my money by not delivering what you promised is bad enough, but don't waste my time! Don't pretend to offer customer service and then ignore your customer! I will never use Vudu again.
I have made a lot of movie purchases thru Vudu and I've generally been happy. My wife and I recently attempted to rent and watch a movie and that didn't go well. It was a 48 hour rental but the movie disappeared from our library after only 24 hours. I emailed customer service and explained EXACTLY what happened. It took them 10 days to get back to me. The explanation from Michelle said they couldn't refund "accidental purchases"? Where did that come from? They can keep my $4 and I'll be renting movies somewhere else.
Paid 78$ dollars on complete harry potter collection and sound cuts in and out sounds like a crappy bootleg copy simple solution fix the sound distortion with a new copy that doesn't sound bootleg on the last harry potter or refund but the worst part is that there is absolutely no customer service and waiting a week for your money back is crap. Especially because we bought this from you once before and told you the problem months ago and it's still not fixed. Had I of known this I'd have purchased through my Amazon prime account.
Not in a big hurry to use vudu again due to buffering issues. Can't even get through an episode of the series I bought without having to re-start multiple times. Get your act together vudu or you will permanently lose my business.
Connectivity sucks constant buffering... but go to Netflix and everything is fine run speed test and network is performing well... so yep it's Vudu. Almost... makes Time Warner look good... actually considering Time warner is really scared of Google fiber in my area they have been bending over backwards. Vudu sucks can't say it enough.
We bought movies through vudu. Now, on our Roku devices, they won't play. We click "watch movie", it buffers, then sends us to the rating screen that comes up after the movie has played all the way through. I think I'll go back to buying discs.
Movies we have purchased, rented AND streamed for free have got hung up either halfway through or 10 minutes from the end.
Customer service is a joke. They don't own their problem. They blame your internet connectivity. I have about 6 or more movies purchased from Vudu that are unplayable. Thanks Vudu. Taking our family's money elsewhere.
Bought a few movies from this streaming service but can't stream them. Whether it's buffering or just won't play, it's pointless to even try. Don't bother contacting customer support. They won't respond to you and if they do, they invariably blame the problems on you (your device, your internet connection, your IP address associated with some dumb issue). There is no resolution and they don't care. Go through a different company and save your time and money.
I've been trying to get a hold of vudu to help me with my account they can't do it. Why have a job if you cannot do it. All they give is excuses news flash excuses are like $#*!s everyone has them
Now fix the problem please!
"Contact customer support we are here to help" is an act in mindless insanity. They do not respond to email EVER! So your only option is to remain on terminal hold. What really drives you to utter mind blowing frustration is the money you have tied up in them, you cant do anything about it. You cant take your digital movies and go elsewhere. Sure you can use Movies Anywhere, but they don't have all the copy rights to every digital movie you own. Neither does Amazon. So they have you and your movies hostage. They don't have to respond to you, they can just sit back ignore you, drink their cup of coffee and laugh at all us fools who are sitting here pulling our hair out trying to reach someone to resolve our issue. Some digital master needs to start a streaming platform service that will allow you to transfer each and every movie you have purchased through VUDU and let them shut down.
I bought combo packs of several movies and only one of them allowed me to redeem it with iTunes. The others gave me a few options, the most reputable of which was Vudu, so I went that route. Now I can't watch my movies on anything but my laptop screen because "copyright" makes it not play on anything from my computer monitor to my TV. So I figured I could just play the file through a different player. Wrong again. Vudu uses some bizarre method of formatting that is incompatible with anything and impossible to isolate and use. Thanks Vudu, for robbing me of the movies I bought.
VUDU SUCKS! They are scam artists. They knowingly rent out movies that you can never watch because they buffer every three seconds. From the reviews I've read, their manager is extremely rude, so any attempts to get a refund would be fruitless. Everyone who has been ripped off by VUDU should get together in a class action lawsuit and go after them for their fraudulent business practices. By the time they've spent all their money in attorney's fees, and paying back all their victims money, they will have no choice but to close up shop.
Bought CSI NY series. Spent $300 for the full series. Interruptions all the time in HD. I don't get any interruptions on other streaming sites. It's not my high speed as it was checked. You need to. Fix it as many others have the same problem.
Everything is good if everything goes right once something goes wrong or you need help don't expect to even receive an answer to your email for at least a week and a half. They are abysmal. I've been using Vudu since it was a set-top box that you had to pay for just to stream movies. I am done with Vudu. Fortunately the hundreds of movies that I bought from them are all digital and can be transferred to another service. I even send an email complaining and they sent me a generic response back not even acknowledging that I was upset with their customer service. Not even any humility as a company, I'm done.
If you love buffering you will love Vudu. Can barely get through a half hour episode in less than an hour with all the buffering interruptions. Its infuriating! Find somewhere else to buy digital movies and TV.
I was OK with the site until I needed tech support and found out how horrible the support was. The thing that really rubbed me the wrong way is they are unapologetic about it as well. They know and don't care. A really bad signal. There are plenty of issues with the actual streaming as well, but I can be patient if I have good support. They send you this form letter after they give you a lame excuse for their failure or inability to fix an issue that the matter will be resolved in 72 hours if they don't hear back from you. All the little things they could have done to lessen the sting of poor service they don't and act as if they don't care. It is just painful to deal with these people.
I'm not going to write an extremely long review. I bought a movie and everytime we tried to watch it, it t would give us an error message at least 6 times! Very, very frustrating! I should have paid the extra money and bought the movies on Amazon prime or Fandango now.
First off, I purchased movies and redeemed codes from the time when Walmart owned VUDU only to have several of those titles disappear from My Movies and customer service give some dismissive response about not having any confirmation of purchase. It wasn't a lot of movies, but I kept documentation of actual dates of purchase and redemption of those movies into my account only to be told by customer service that they have no record of the movies that were previously in my VUDU account, and there was nothing they could do for a long-time customer with over 3,000 purchases. Then tonight, I tried to purchase a $4.99 Weekly Movie Deals only to be told by customer service that it doesn't matter that VUDU is advertising the movie at $4.99, it is not on sale and is actually $17.99. This is clearly deceptive advertising and a 180 revolution from customer service that was so helpful in past years. Buyers beware! There have to be better companies than this one where you won't be swindled and mislead by dishonest business practices.
Wonderful at first until a purchase I did yesterday at Walmart. Walmart and Vudu have a collaboration when you buy something from Walmart you should be able to watch your video instantly on both Walmart/Vudu or Vudu itself. Both company's have been giving me the run around and pointing their fingers at one another as to why I can't watch my purchased movies. Frankly this is ridiculous, I emailed proof of my purchase and a pictures showing Vudu that in fact I have bought the items and picture showing they have taken it out of my bank account and even a picture showing that it is suppose to be watched instantly. Why are they now dodging me and shoving me under the rug? It's because I guess a buyers satisfaction is not on their top priority list.
I was satisfied with Vudu's service (although their prices are sometimes higher than YouTube or Google Play.) Recently, however, they've started showcasing hate films that include "jokes" about women being beaten up by pimps, and include racist and misogynist "humor." Complaints to Customer Service about the sexism and racism go nowhere.
Answer: I would just stay away from vudu altogether. They are the worst company I have ever interacted with. I spent a lot of money on videos with them and I cannot watch any of them because the just buffer literally every 5 seconds and then I downloaded them through vudu to go and they won't play on there either. I keep getting a message that vudu cannot authenticate my account. I e-mailed customer services 3 times and have never received a response. I have wasted about $1000. 00 on movies that I cannot watch. I have started using amazon prime video and other sites as well and have no problems whatsoever. Just stay away from vudu they are just taking your money.
Answer: I have had nothing but problems with vudu. My opinion is just stay away and use another company. They are the worst. You will waste your money.
