I don't understand how this company can compete with a dealership. How can a dealership turn around the entire transaction in half a day, and Vroom takes up to 3 weeks? The ONLY reason I am a Vroom customer is that the vehicle my wife wants is not available in the city we live in (or nearby cities). This process is unorganized, and no one at the company seems to give a rip that I am dissatisfied. The sales rep I started the process with was very sweet but was uneducated about their products. This is not her fault, but obviously a reflection of the company's hiring and training. I have had to re-send the same documents on multiple occasions. It's hard to believe in 2023, this is the best they can do.
Very frustrating experience. I had a strong offer on a car from them and accepted it. No response for 5 business days. Then an email that I need to provide them the payoff quote in 24 hours or deals off. OK, I contact Audi Financial Services and have them fax the dealer payoff quote. This was on Friday afternoon. AFS says they did. Monday comes they say they don't have it.
I get one sent to me and email it. Oops. Not a Dealer payoff quote. Have AFS fax them again. Vroom says they didn't get it again. Finally they close the offer.
No idea if they have a failure on their end picking up faxed info or if it is AFS failure to send but to close the offer in less than 36 business hours after sitting on the accepted offer for 5 days is unprofessional.
Very disappointed and when I resubmitted the car the new offer is $3000 lower. My suspicion is they realized they offered too much and didn't want to honor the deal. I will never know. Just a seller beware review.
Vroom's quote for my 2014 Prius was 1500. Dealer's was 5500. Sure would have been easy tho. Almost as good as if they had offered 2 bucks. After waiting a week for them to pick it up, get it in about 2 weeks and only be minus 8 bucks after spending 10 on a cab to the bank. Deserve that star. Would give it to 'em even if option for no stars. Quick, simple, and easy. They ain't lying.
Yeah, please do yourself a favor and buy a car elsewhere. If you do have to buy a car from them, do not under any circumstances send them any money. You will never get your car. You will never get your refund. Don't believe me do a Google search how many articles have been written about people who were lied to, and deceived. I attached pictures below, proving that they took the money out of my account and never sent me a vehicle because they had sold it to somebody else after we signed a contract. Smh you just can't make this stuff up.
On February 17 i put down a payment on a 2019 Maserati, after sending my documents and purchase the insurance and told that i would have paid cash for the car vroom send a copy of the contract and it stated that they would have getting in touch with me, all this was done by email. Yesterday i get two email, one that said that i got my refund and another one that said that the Maserati has been relisted for sale.
I called to see what happened and the answer i got that they called me and i did not pick up.
They could have sent email or message they had my phone number.
Never by from this company
I got an appraisal for my 2023 4-door Jeep Wrangler. Lifted with 35s, nice rims, all the bells and whistles. Only 4500 miles. I will not post here what I payed for it, but VROOM sent me an appraisal for $17,500. My wife, my friends have never laughed so hard. Thanks VROOM for providing us some entertainment value, at least. You guys are a JOKE!
HANDS DOWN best experience with a car purchase in all my years. Ali didn't go above and beyond, she made the purchase organic and fluid. She never made me repeat myself, she kept my needs in mind as well as my "wants". I'm not easy as a customer and I am aware of it... But she sailed through it without any issues. With all my years in a customer service in many industries never have I ever had an experience like that. Companies like "Vroom" are still serving their customers because of the representatives like Ms. Ali at extension x0748. If you are in the market for a vehicle, call Ali. She will exceede your expectations and set the standard for that role, industry wide.
Thanks Ali!

I have never been so ignored, lied to, and mislead EVER by any company, and I've dealt with some shady companies. From the very beginning I was mislead about the price by over a thousand dollars, then I was ignored for weeks, then my promised 14 day delivery window was extended twice, and now I'm stuck paying hundreds in extra rental fees because this scam of a company refuses to honor even a single promise they've made. It's impossible to get anyone to call or email you back, and I haven't received a response in at least two weeks. What started out as a decent deal has become a nightmare made even worse by the apparent lack of concern on the company's part. Vroom stops just shy of malicious and I can't recommend more that you use literally any other company on the planet.
Bought a car Nov 2. It is now January 25. No license plate. Both temp tags have expired. I cannot drive my $750 a month car without fear of being pulled over and arrested for no legal registration. Customer service has 45 minute hold times, then they transfer and hang up on you. I call daily and nobody can help. A nightmare. Stay away.
It's been six weeks, still no payment for trade. Customer service literally lies to you in order to get off the call. I've called over 10 times. My trade is already sale pending on their site and they haven't paid for it. Scammers
Vroom appears to be effective at selling cars until payment is made. Once they receive payment customer service and communication cease. Been waiting over 6-weeks for my title. Contacting them accomplishes nothing other than spending a lot of time on hold as you are transferred from one rep to another. I did not believe this experience could be worse than dealing with a salesman but it certainly has been. Never again!
I don't even know where to start with this company. As I type this I'm on the phone with Vroom. Been on hold for over a hour and a half. I bought my car through vroom in May. Easy process and lots of communication till they got the money and my other car. After that no one knows what the other person is doing. I've made at least 3 dozen phone calls in the past 4 months. All I want is my tag and all I get is misinformation. I've mailed in documents multiple times that they requested yet still nothing. Worst company. Do yourself a favor and don't buy from Vroom.
Worst car buying experience. I've been waiting for four months to get my license plates. I've called six times about it and been on hold for an hour every time. The conversation has been identical every call with no progress. They are waiting for an emissions test which I'm not required to have, I've sent them information pointing this out but for some reason they can't put two and two together.
They are completely incompetent, they've even acknowledged the fact that I don't need an emissions test but for months I've had zero progress.
I know what you're thinking, "how bad could it be?" It can be bad! It's not worth it!
Bought vehicle in October and not to bad of a process, until…. They get your money. Got my temp tags but it expired in 12-22 and now it's 12/27. After at least 4 calls, multiple emails I'm still waiting on another set of temp tags, let alone my actual ones (CA). Love the vehicle but hate incompetent reps who pretty lie in trying to help you. I'm now chatting with their social media people on trying to get a resolution. Won't hold my breath.
Car was either misrepresented and/or damaged on the way. You expect more from an $80.000 luxury car. Imagine what they do with the rest. And the follow up/disclosure of information has been zero. We're hoping our state attorney generals office gets to the bottom of this - and these.
Found a vehicle, filled out their great financing sheet they tout. Errored out after completion. Called the sales office and the dude tells me that I have to have 30k down for a 50k vehicle. WTF… if I had that available to put down don't you think that I would just pay cash through someone. What a joke this company is. Use Carvana! Tons more cars and realistic financing options. Vroom would be around long!
6 months! Yes 6 months to get my title and registration! I literally covered up the car cause I could no longer get a temp tag. After endless calls and emails, I finally got the title and had to register it myself. I would never do business with them again and I implore you to go somewhere else. Worst experience ever!
To get things moving (Not that anything worked): Contact Vroom customer support, TX DMV and file a report, TX Attorney General and file a report, contact your finance company and refuse to make payments.
The worst experience! I am still dealing with issues months later. It was all fine until I started the buying process. Price was good, it's what hooked me in and convinced me to use Vroom. After starting the buying process it turned into a headache.
Still haven't done the registration and plates. I do not recommend this company
They email me we will contact you I gave my phone number but they never called me
I hope I will get my plate :(
I sold my car on Aug 5 th. Sent my title and signed contract back to them. Aug 6th got confirmation e-mail that car will be picked up. Today is Sep 15. Car still hasn't been picked up. Every day they lie and tell, it will be picked up in 24-48 hours. After 45 days, it still sitting in my drive way. They have the title. I can't even sell the car until these guys return by tithe. I will file a complaint with PA state attorney general. To get my title back.
I bought a Dodge Challenger through. The only time they would talk to me was when I was buying the car. I was not kept updated on the delivery process at all, my emails stopped being returned and all of a sudden when I call I'm on hold and no ever answers. They call you from random numbers in the beginning it seems like so you won't have their direct number.
Answer: I got a good offer and my car is 2 years old and in better than average shape. In fact they offered 1400. 00 more than the local dealer, more than Carmax or Carvanna. Then I read reviews, the BBB and received the contract. In there point #7, they said they have the right to adjust the price and do not pay out until they inspect the car. Called and canceled the contract before it got any further. In this day and age I decided if I'm going to sell something I need to look at the person face to face. VROOM holds too many unknowns.
Answer: Don't trust them! Can't handle simple matters as honoring a deposit.
Answer: Awful. I have been waiting for a month and still don't have our deal done yet due to their disorganization and expiring their offer on my trade in, so now I have to start all over again with that process - which, by the way, was part of the reason I chose to buy from them!
Answer: Yes, wait and wait and wait and wait. Be smart, walk away from these people
Answer: Then go ahead and sell it! They do not force you to buy a car!
Answer: They are a bait and switch company! Truly what's on the internet is not always true! If it seems to good to be true? Probably to good to be true!
Answer: I wouldn't do it. Everything in my experience with them has been painful and fishy! I still don't have my deal done yet after a month!
