I buy most of out vitamins, health products and my favorite brand of Stevia through Vitacost. I have been using them for 2 or 3 years now and have never had a problem. Shipping time is reasonable. I can't comment on their customer service because I have never had to use it. Prices are usually either the lowest and close to the lowest. Shipping is a flat 4.99 and its free if your order is over $49.00. Love this place.
I was a long time Vitacost customer - never again. My recent order was sent to the wrong address despite my updating my address book with my new address and deleting my old address. I was charged $31 and when I called to request a refund or replacement, I was rudely told it was my fault and they were going to do nothing. I was treated as if I was trying to defraud the company. Instead, I've been robbed of $31 by Vitacost. Good products pricing - horrible customer service. Never, ever again will I use this company and I will make sure everyone I can reach knows why.
Vitacost has some buy one get one free sales. They are supposed to have a tear time order filling system but every time I order one of the discounted items they cancel the product because it is supposedly out of stock. Not a good company to do business with
They have a very wide selection of vitamins and supplements. Their house brands are inexpensive and they also have other brands at prices much less than in stores. Shipping is prompt and I've never had a problem with an order.
I first want to say that the prices are the best out there and the customer service does an amazing job they are very fast to respond and quite friendly. Most of the time no problem. But this last time I was informed that I had a shipment delivered when it was not delivered. I don't know if it's vitacost or FedEx at fault. Maybe it will come today. FedEx says I have one in route
This is the main site that I use for ordering supplements, body and hair products etc. Everything is up front, delivery has always been easy and I receive my order quick. Customer service has always been good as well. Their pricing is competitive.
My overall experience was slightly better than okay.
One of the items I first bought was back ordered and not shipped. I was glad that I didn't have to pay for it and also that I did not have to forfeit my $10 off 30$ discount. That was very considerate of them to let me keep my discount.
I've never had an issue with customer service or communication. I think they are drastically improving in this regard.
Other than some fixed mistakes and a bit of trouble with getting my rewards from the referral system, I feel vitacost is trustable.
My order from August was damaged in shipping; items were damaged and missing. The missing/damaged items were resent, but that package never even reached me: it was again damaged in shipping, but this time was returned to sender. They refused to reship the items. They said it was against their policy. They supposedly issued a refund for those items but it took a month and a half and many follow-up inquiries and complaints before I received the refund. I am done with Vitacost! It would be against my own policy to order from them again.
I will NEVER order from them again. It's not worth the discount. I ordered March 24,2019 & received my order & never thought about it again, till I went to account I paid it on & seen they had double billed me. This was April 5,2019 I found out. I called & they said it would be back in account in 48 hours. I have called 2 more times & been told the same thing. I still don't have my money.It is now April 18,2019 & I want my $119.60 back.
I started ordering from Vitacost pre Kroger. I was part of the Vitavoice team and the customer service was stellar. I imagine that customer service is too much of an expense for this company because they have no customer service. I have had zero success getting in touch via phone, chat or email with a customer service representative. Usually I am ordering a replacement item because almost every package comes damaged. Most recently, a shipment was lost or damaged during delivery and it took days to get a computer generated email informing me about the delivery date. When it did arrive two of 6 items were damaged and there is no way to get a replacement for an order that was a replacement. I have found that ordering one or more items that come in a glass jar will arrive damaged. The level of frustration isn't worth the 20% off. Good bye Vitacost.
I tried ordering 5 products from this company. The coffee sucks. Stale and did not even smell good, altho organic. Also they need to tighten up the order fulfillment portion of the company. My order came with only 4 products and was missing one product. I will never order from them again. I have been waiting to talk to someone for 39 minutes on my way home from work. They never picked up. Not really sure what is going on with them. Maybe they need to hire more representatives?
I suffered a negative reaction from eating almond butter. There was no date of expiration. When i called the company, they were unresponsive to my concerns. I paid close to $ 9 and i suffered stomach pains. There response was that since i didn't return the item sooner, i cannot have a refund. While it is true that i received my food item in march of 2020, i didn't suffer a negative reaction from eating the almond butter until recently. There was no "use by" date or expiration date and the company should have replaced the item. The representative with whom i spoke was unwilling to work with my complaint and i would encourage others not to do business with this company. They only give a 60 day period for requesting a refund or a credit and their items are very expensive. I would encourage others to take their business elsewhere and not do business with such a company.
We have bought food, supplements and essential oils from this company for over a year and have been very satisfied. Frequent sales and excellent packing. Very large selection of gluten free foods and most brands of supplements. Vitacost branded products have proven to be very good as well.
I ordered some whey protein, and my card was charged. A day later they said the item was discontinued and my order was being refunded. Still waiting for that refund. I'm sure I will get the refund, but canceling someone's order after it has been placed is extremely unprofessional. Will not waste my time with this company in the future.
Do not use this company go with Amazon.com this company is a JOKE. They told me i would have my order in 2 days then they sent it to Miami when I called they cancelled my order and refunded me without even telling me as I sat here 5 days later still waiting for the order. Be careful buying digestive enzymes they will send you a damaged box that have been opened and you will have to eat the cost for it. They consistently do this. 5 out of 7 of i requested a refund and replace ments You will get lotion and shampoo thats open that has been tampered with leaking out of its container. If you buy there synergy products, There is a good chance that it is expired. They act really willing to give you a refund or replace your product at first but they will make mistakes like this all the time. You will then be stuck with an $80.00 order that you cant use. They also will not allow you to send unused products back as proof for the refund Beware! They cheated me right before Christmas

They claim commitment to the planet but they sent me a 2 ounce flat product in a 5"x6"x3" box which had a totally unnecessary plastic sealed air packing material. I have a picture to show how ridiculous it looks but this review cannot accommodate it. This could have so easily fit in a small envelope mailer.
I find Vitacost to be the best of the online vitamin stores. They have the largest selection of the things I consistently buy and their shipping is super fast. I've never paid for shipping because my orders are always over the free shipping threshold. Only once have I received the wrong item and it was handled easily through their online system. They did not require that I ship the wrong item back and they promptly shipped out a replacement. I have never had a need to call or avail myself of their customer service beyond this one issue and it was handled promptly and to my satisfaction. I couldn't ask for anything better.
Be careful to read the expire data on the package.
On February I ordered couple of skin care products. Two of the sunscreens will be expired in 3 months and one eye serum and one face serum all expired more than one year. (I found the serum smells terrible so I checked the lot number with the manufacture).
I called Vitacost, guess what they say. They said they only guarantee product shipped out one month OK before expired. But even like this terrible promise even can not make. Because they even sale products are expired. I really can not image good company can sale product at one month time frame before expired data. Since I am out of USA, so I paid the shipping fee. But they only refund the expired product and refuse to refund the shipping fee.
Check the data, it is so import because the stuff can be bad to our body.
