Be careful to read the expire data on the package.

On February I ordered couple of skin care products. Two of the sunscreens will be expired in 3 months and one eye serum and one face serum all expired more than one year. (I found the serum smells terrible so I checked the lot number with the manufacture).
I called Vitacost, guess what they say. They said they only guarantee product shipped out one month OK before expired. But even like this terrible promise even can not make. Because they even sale products are expired. I really can not image good company can sale product at one month time frame before expired data. Since I am out of USA, so I paid the shipping fee. But they only refund the expired product and refuse to refund the shipping fee.
Check the data, it is so import because the stuff can be bad to our body.
I will nerve order from this web.

They have almost everything! Seems if they don't have something after you've searched for it, the next time you check, they do.
Customer service is awesome too. No questions asked if there's a problem. They just fix it immediately.

My stuff never came...TWICE!

I bought a bunch of cleaning supplies which never came. I told them and they said they would ship again, I got an email confirmation they shipped, but again they never came. I then requested a refund which they gave me, minus $10, so I essentially paid them $10 for nothing apparently. Don't trust them, but somewhere else.

Total Ripoff

I orderred a product from Vitacost with promised delivery in 30 days. After it did not arrive I was then promised delivery in 60 days, and after another non-delivery I was then promised delivery within 75 days or I would receive a refund. After waiting past the 75 day deadline and without product being delivered Vitacost decided to refund to me 75% of my cost. So not only did I never receive the product that I paid for within the various and extended time limits Vitacost promised, I also was charged more than $10 by them for my inconvenience. I urge anyone interested in ordering from this company to please, for your own sake, find some other more trustworthy company. They are using shameful and likely crooked tactics to bilk customers of their money. You should NEVER order anything from Vitacost. A 1 star review is one star too many!

I purchased Covid 19 tests from Vitacost in December 2022. The price was good $5 per test.
Come to find that they were a type that required an App and a ton of information before even administering the test, which was completely ridiculous and unneccesary. Vitacost sold me tests that would expire within two weeks of delivery! Also even though the test was not yet expired - it read - Cannot deliver results due to expiry of the test.
So I called - it was really difficult to reach anyone at Vitacost. Finally got a customer service person and they denied the return. I tried again a week later and was told no.
By the time I would have returned the tests they would have been truly expired, so maybe that is why they denied the return, I do not know, as they would give me no reason.
I will never buy from them again, they essentially took my $81.40. Oh, and I had to buy tests elsewhere to have on hand in January, as this was for my preschool.

I placed an order for the first time with Vitacost and upon receipt, opened one of the 4 bottles and stored the remainder in my overflow storage box. Today I went to open the last bottle and found that it was not the product I ordered. Note that I understood how a mistake like this could be made as the product was from the same manufacturer in the same size and color bottle but it was not the product I ordered. I contacted Vitacost thinking that they would simply credit me for the mix up as I was going to place another order with them but they refused stating that it was my fault for not noticing the mix up when the order arrived. I will no longer be doing any business with a company that makes a mistake and then blames the customer and refuses to make good on the error.

I live in Canada. I placed an order for Digestive aid capsules on Nov. 15/2015 with Vitacost for the first time. I was hesitant regarding having the items shipped to me in Canada worrying that I would be charged further costs e.g. duty, extra postage etc. I read in the online reviews that this did happen to others who placed such orders. However the parcel arrived today Nov. 19th by Canada Post as I was told it would be delivered by them and received exactly the order I placed.
I was impressed and pleased by how well the this transaction played out especially being given free shipping and an additional 10% discount on my purchase. I will definitely order from Vitacost in the future.

I have ordered products from Vitacost for the past 8 years. I am very happy with the selection of products and 15% off coupons either mailed or through email. I only order when I get the 15% off. I do compare prices and save money on all items I order. In all the years I have been a customer, only once did they send a wrong item. (Sesame seeds instead of himalayan salt). They refunded my credit card and I kept the sesame seeds. Orders have always been delivered to the correct address in a short amount of time (3-5 days) and items are packaged very securely. I often order items in glass and have never had a broken bottle/jar. I would highly recommend Vitacost!

I then talked to customer service who told me that the code was expired even though I had signed up for it ten minutes prior. He then offered me 10% off. This is the second time this has happened to me exactly the same scenario. Vitacost is scamming you. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

I placed an order with the company and received an empty box. I spent 10 minutes on hold to talk to someone about this. When I got a representative, I didn't even get an apology. Her response was, "Wow. That's something." If you check on the BBB under complaints, apparently, this isn't an uncommon thing. Waiting to see if I actually get my refund. Glad I used PayPal.

As bad as it gets.!

I received my order with 2 missing items.
Called customer service and was told that they will reorder the items.
After almost a month a new package was delivered from Vitacost with an item that I've never ordered, and I am not familiar with.
What a disappointment of a company.
Such a waste of time and aggravation. I will never work with them again.

It doesn't look like Vitacost offers any instant refund as they claim, I order some juice and honey, and the safety seal wasn't secure so I wasn't going to consume all that. And I was told to go through the online system for refund, and next day, I get an email to send those items back and had to wait almost a month for refund. And the other time, they refuse to offer me refund for damaged items, after sending them pics, and they never responded to my emails... going back to iHerb. Vitacost fraudulent company... anyone else with similar experience?

Unreasonable policy
April 20, 2020

One hour I placed my order, I tried to cancel my order by chatting. In this pandemic condition my daughter (receiver) decided to come back home quickly. He said he couldn't do at that stage and would request a refund after invoice issued. He promised he will send e-mail notification. After 5 days I got the email my order had shipped. I called them and they said my refund request did not go through because I must cancel within 15 mins. They changed the rules according to this pandemic condition. The handling time delayed 4-5 days and no returns because of associates' safety. In this exceptional condition, this is an acceptable customer service.

I have been a customer at Vita Cost for years. Since the transition to Kroeger customer service has gone down in standards. I have spent the entire day asking for manager and supervisors to resolve my problem with their customer order taker over the phone. The customer rep. By the name of Cynthia and Malik and another male who I did not get his name has really crossed the line. Rude and hanging up the phone each time. They took my order, and I never received any confirmation. They took my credit card, and they can't find my order. Cynthia was being very rude and start letting me how much she is educated and way out of line has nothing to do with her customer service in finding my order. She started screaming at me behaving very unprofessional on the phone. She still can't locate my order. I am not sure why they can't find my order if they complete my order and take my full credit card information over the phone. But no trace of me placing an order. I spend the entire day seeking a supervisor and yet I can't get in touch with a supervisor. They keep giving me the run around and keep sending me back to the order line. Horrible customer service. Dreadful. I would like the CEO of Kroger Rodney McMullen to investigate as to why this poor customer service which I never had before.

Dissatisfied customer

I have been using Vitacost for the past 27 years. They advertise20% off on all supplements herbs and vitamins. I did not get it. They only gave me about 12% off and the company would not correct the situation. I will not do business with this company again because of their misrepresentation and not caring for their customers.

They advertise on the Web site the products are shipped same day or within 24 hours. I paid for this product and I did not receive it because they did not ship it until nine days later. I had to go to a health food store and pay more for this product, so when it arrived I had much more than I needed and I had to pay almost double. They would not even apologize.

Have been using this site for years now, going in through ebates.com to get cash back, and using a card that gives cash back, practically free! But their prices are excellent for everything from vitamins/supplements to groceries to personal supplies. Shipping is free after a certain dollar amount, not much, and shipping is fast. If something is dented or damaged, they are very good at replacing, but it rarely happens. Just about everything is discounted and their sales are super! Free samples too. Would highly recommend you try this place out, get a member to refer you and get extra benefits, no this is not a club, there is no obligation or any kind and no minimums or repeats required, it's just a web site that is dependable and honest.

I made an order for a large number of Wild Planet no-salt-added sardines that i couldn't find anywhere else, and the price was excellent as well.

Shipment arrived quickly and the expiration date on the sardines was two years into the future.

Very happy with my experience with vitacost.

I ordered items from Vitacost on 6//6/23 and I noted today 6/10 that they were "still processing" for my order and were told by Glenn on chat: "Upon checking, this order is currently on hold and we need to confirm billing details to proceed." I did not receive any email from Vitacost asking for additional info nor was any email in spam. I am very disappointed that Vitacost did not contact me nor ask for any "details". I can order these products from Target and pick them up in 3 hours. Vitacost is usually good and I receive my order within days.
