Do not know how to ship to FedEx locations in Canada

I am trying to send my parcel to a FedEx pick up location. When I try to do this, it asks for a Zip Code, but since I live in Canada. I have to put in a Postal Code - which the system does not accept. I called an agent and they told me to put in a + before the Postal Code, which did not work. They told me to put a 1 before the Postal Code, which did not work. I asked them to take my order by phone and they told me the system was down and they could not take my order. I called back immediately and got another agent who CONFIRMED THAT THE SYSTEM WAS NOT DOWN. I told him my problem and that he had to take my order by phone and enter in the address of the FedEx pickup location in Canada. He decided it was a better idea to call the tech team to find out what was happening. I told him I did not have a lot of time to be on the phone. He said it would be quick. I was on hold when he came back asked what the postal code of the FedEx pickup location was and I gave it. I was back on hold. He came back and said they were working on it. He finally came back again saying that he would have to take my order by phone. I had to say NO, because I had been on the phone for 22 minutes with him and had to leave due to a prior engagement. I told him at the start he had to take my order and I told him I did not have a lot of time. He did not listen to me. He wasted my time and the first agent lied to me by saying that the system was down when it was not. This is not the first time I have had problems getting a parcel sent out. In the past year I have spent upwards of 4 hours on the phone trying to get my last package sent to a FedEx pickup location in Canada. It took a month before everyone figured out HOW TO send it and finally deliver it to me. They did not put "Release to Customer" on the mailing label and the package was sent back. I told them to correct their mistake since they had taken my order over the phone. They were able to stop it from going back to the U.S. and bring it back to Canada were it sat in a warehouse for 3 weeks and no one knew where it was. And here I am again. Why is this so DIFFICULT? Why do your agents not know that that the zip code line does not take Postal Codes? Why am I always put on hold for you to contact the tech department, only for them to try and find out that your system does not take postal codes when shipping to a FedEx pick up location in Canada? Why do your Managers not know this? TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE! I AM SO FRUSTRATED! And the cherry on top is that I am now getting a surcharge on my order. It is not even over 10 pounds. I called another agent who said the the surcharge is for heavy packages. I told them it was not over 25 pounds. They did not know what to do. TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE!

Tip for consumers:

Their agents and Managers are very poorly trained when it comes to shipping things to Canada. They do not know to add "Release to Customer" when sending a package to a pickup location for a Customer. Trying to get a hold of a Manager means waiting on the phone upwards of 1 hour, which has happened to me twice. Their customer service has gone so far downhill in the last 2 years that I am afraid to contact them.

I used to buy from Vitacost, all the time.

No, this is NOT about any specific purchase from Vitacost.

Buyer beware of Vitacost customer NO-SERVICE!
Vitacost is not what it used to be!

For many YEARS Vitacost was great.

However, about 5 years ago they decided to collect VAT, or value-added tax. This meant that, from that day on, instead of paying $100 for $100 worth of merchandise, I had to start paying up to $130 ---- for $100 worth of merchandise.

Then, to make all Vitacost prices even less competitive, about one year ago Vitacost also decided to hold on to VAT monies, which meant that, whenever I ordered from Vitacost, then, instead of paying $130 for $100 worth of merchandise, that $100 worth of merchandise started costing me $160 per order.

During the the last two times I have ordered from Vitacost, each of those times it cost me $160 to order $100 worth of merchandise.

Why? Because first, as a customer, I paid $130 through vitacost.com, for $100 worth of merchandise.
Then, upon delivery, I also paid $30 VAT money to my local Post Office. Why? Because on my parcel, Vitacost said nothing at all to anybody that I already paid them the $30 VAT money.

When I called Vitacost, their customer no-service did not sound surprised at all. Further, they never apologized either. Further, they never did anything at all for me to correct the situation. When I called Vitacost customer no-service, yes, my phone calls were answered, yes, I was transferred to International customer no-service, yes, I was asked for proof of payment, yes I did send them the proofs they wanted.

However, they did not actually do anything for me. No, they never sent me any of my $30 refunds. And no, I have never received my $30 refunds from Vitacost or anyone. And no, Vitacost never contacted me. And this already happened TWO times in a row. What a serious lack of customer service they have!

Therefore, what would you do, if you were in my shoes? For starters, I unsubscribed from all Vitacost emails, and, yeah, these days I never EVER purchase anything from Vitacost.

Buyer, look elsewhere!

Won't ship package, fake refund never posts

Like many here, I was a long time customer, always rated the site 5/5. You would think after 2020, customers like us would be more patient with their COVID understaffing and longer shipping times, but it's not that: they have truly changed! Their new staff is the worst. Spent almost $345 to stock up on food, shampoo & vitamins, package never sent. Because their stupid system for the past 2 years says "not yet shipped" even after it was shipped and received, now they can claim it was shipped and it's just a "glitch in the system". Well, I never received the goods. I used the automated form for a refund and later that day, got the email confirmation that it had been approved.

2 weeks later, I went to use my card and declined. So I checked on the refund and... it never posted! Not even a pending transaction. I called my bank and they told me to contact Vitacost because nothing shows on their end. I was repeatedly told that the refund was already approved and that resubmitting would do nothing. I have now filed a dispute with my bank, which will take 90 days to finalize. Meanwhile, I'm out $345. Never again! It's not "COVID" and it's not being "under staffed". It's the new reps don't care, give you the run around, are rude, hang up on you (happened to me twice) and are free to get away with it. I thought Swanson vitamins was bad because they take 1 week to ship, without contact info and their reps are based in China, but I finally got my stuff. Good stuff too, may I add, stuff that Vitacost doesn't carry.

People here is a tip: you're probably reading this because you got scammed too. Learn your lesson: from now on, NEVER EVER shop ANY online company before READing NEGATIVE REVIEWS FIRST! Why? Because reading positive reviews is a waste of time. Just gauge how many green reviews they have vs red. Then read the red. FIRST. ALWAYS read the RED/BAD reviews first! This will tell you what you're very likely to encounter. Then, gauge if you want to take that risk. Too many "I should have read the bad reviews". Do this always. There's also plenty of China-based companies too, that show you wonderful items at super low prices: the reviews show you that they received duds, so don't fall for pretty pictures, don't fall for green/good reviews written by their staff and always read the 1-stars first. Also: quit typing "wish I could give 0 stars", we already know that 1 star means the worst of the worst, you cannot type a review without giving a star, that's the starring system. So quit wasting text, and type the true facts.

As for me, soon as I get my near $345 back, I am never shopping Vitacost again. The kind and caring ladies that worked there, even 5 years ago, are long gone. It's like the company is run by TV News looters, now. Would you trust those types with your credit card? Same difference! D-a-mned be their email spam with their coupons and their offers! You can no longer trust these rude millennials that have taken over a formerly great company. The past doesn't mean a thing for the present. They ruined it. Even Amazon is much better now, sad to say this. DO NOT TRUST VITACOST WITH YOUR MONEY OR YOUR PERSONAL INFO, YOU WILL LOSE EVERY TIME!

Tip for consumers:

If you must, buy the bare minimum but $49 is needed for free shipping, even using coupons! Think long and hard whether you can afford to lose $49 for 90+ days, time for your bank to reverse the charges, if they don't ship your order and won't refund you. Keep in mind: they PRETEND to refund you but do not. They count on you not checking your bank balance, so be on top of this: once Vitacost scams you, pay close attention to see if you get the refunds the automated system say you were given!

AWESOME COMPANY, QUALITY PRODUCTS & EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I've been ordering from this company for some years now, and I can honestly say, (so far), I'm a very satisfied customer. Let's be honest--when it comes to customer service, there's no 100% perfect company (well, I digress--to me Amazon is the closest). But there are some that come close, some that think they're already there and they're really not, and others who consistently work towards attaining that goal. On the other hand, there are many like TalDepot who couldn't care less about their customers and don't give a rat's behind about their crappy, unprofessional service/lack of customer service. Vitacost.com (in my opinion and from personal experience) is close, but continues to work consistently to achieving 100%.

As a matter of transparency and honesty, I had 2 minor issues with Vitacost.com that were resolved in a jiffy. Customer service is easily accessible and there's no excessive waiting period. They carry GREAT QUALITY PRODUCTS and SHIPPING IS FAST! I watch what I eat as much as I can and many "health-related" products that I need aren't available in regular retail (grocery) stores/supermarkets- but these products can be easily found on Vitacost.com at amazing prices, which makes it even better. So far, I have no regrets shopping here but if and when I do, I'll not hesitate to return with an update.

Sitejabber has been of great help for me and to each and everyone of us who visit this site because as consumers we often get ignored once terrible companies like TalDepot get our money-For instance, I realize that ALL the negative feedbacks about TalDepot was 110% Absolutely True because I personally went through hell to get a refund for products TalDepot never sent plus they lied continuously about the transaction. Make no mistake I have FULL documented proof. I also realize that I have to be careful as to which site I go to when researching companies. The mind boggling issue is that another customer complaint site (RR) had a vast number of glowing reviews on TalDepot but based on my experience and others, I realize those were far from the truth. Sadly, I could have avoided the hassle, had I purchased the products from VitaCost instead. Having explained my experience with VitaCost, its totally up to you, if you want to give them a try. Hope you found this review helpful.

Vitacost Fraudulent Customer Service

So I made the mistake of ordering so many items particularly cleaning products/soaps, etc but unfortunately one of the packages was damaged as Vitacost was notified by the carrier, without asking me they send a replacement, I was notified by email saying they are sending a replacement, within 5 minutes, I replied to the email asking if they can refund me instead! Guess what, didnt hear from them until 24 hours later, how convenient and they told me package is already shipped but then without asking me again, they placed a return request! These customers services reps are ridiculous, still didnt refund me but placed a request for return through the carrier?

I had placed about 7 orders and half the stuff I didnt even need and my credit card bill was horrendous and I decided to send them many items back and guess what, these people's return system is horrible, they kept sending me return labels with RA numbers but didnt specify the labels for what order or what items, etc, very confusing! And, then the reps didnt even send return label for remaining items and many items I didnt even ask to return but instead on the system it said "all the items are refunded and replaced." Which made so much confusing and as I didnt know what RA belonged to what order number and when I tried to speak to tons of reps via chat, they are so incompetent and dumb and didnt even help at all! And, I had 7 orders and I didnt ask for return labels for all the items from each order as they had listed online, such freakin a big lie!

Then, I finally made a list of order numbers and listed items for each and sent it by return label and I categorized them, which took forever, no thanks to them!

And, now I have to wait for 3-4 weeks for refund and I basically spoon fed them how to process the return by order # and items listed next to it and placed in separate zip lock bags!

These people's return system is just stupid and how can send me RA number and then next email doesnt tell me what return label belongs to what order number or what items and they didnt even send return labels or RA for all the items either as in some of them, they listed items number but on most they didnt, it was damn confusing and then the system was telling how "all the items have been refunded or replaced." which was a big lie!

I say dont place a huge order because when you have to return something, these people make it exceptionally hard by issuing RA numbers and dont tell you for what items or order number

And, they will fraudulently will temper with your returns because online system would say "all the items have been refunded or replaced." then you second guess yourself, think, did I even ask to return this item because I clearly remember, I didnt, disgusting customer service!
