No protection for sellers. Scammers are able to say they are returning an item and vinted refund them when they haven't even sent it! Their customer service is an absolute joke, I don't know how they are even allowed to legally operate. Promise compensation and then they never reply ro any messages.
Vinted stole my money!
After a month of sales and accumulated 320 euros on the balance of Vinted, I was asked for identification and froze the balance.
Identification I can not pass already 3 weeks, and it is impossible to achieve clarification from the support service of what is exactly wrong with my identification and documents...
If you get into a similar situation, know that you will not get an answer, because you will be communicated to the bot and every time postpone solving your problem for 48 hours!
Given that I am a refugee from Ukraine, and sold my stuff to have money for food, I can not tell you the extent of my outrage!
All items purchased from me have been received by customers and left more than 70 positive feedbacks!
But I have NOT received money and it seems I will never get any!

I've been with Vinted for 9 years and watching it go down hill so fast is scary. They have zero customer service and run off overactive bots. The few staff they do have just use generic responses every time which rarely answer questions you've asked. When things go right, it's great, when things go bad it's a nightmare. I wish the CEO would look into this glaringly obvious issue but whilst money is being made they couldn't care a less until it's too late. Seriously, just be careful everyone, you will lose money at some point on there. Picture attached of someone asking why their account was randomly blocked after listing a plain t-shirt….
I've had a couple of problems now, one I ordered a parcel, the courier took it to the wrong place, been a month and still not got it or a refund! Also been sent an obvious counterfeit item and they want me to pay postage to return it?! What the hell is this buyers protection for. I think after this I won't be using it anymore
I have reported Fraudulent Activity on Vinted countless times to Vinted customer care and never once have they taken any action against people in clear Violation of the Terms and Conditions of Vinted. The people who work on the website are truly shocking. They are clueless in how to resolve user problems. The website itself is not a bad platform for selling but the customer care team are truly appalling and so very amateurish.
What an absolute mess. Completely incompetent customer service representatives. Lack of proper infrastructure to even handle customers. Maybe before entering the Canadian market they should have fixed themselves up rather than speeding themselves even more thinly. I am completely dumbfounded how anyone uses this platform.

No buyer protection. Any problems Vinted do not want to know. They just take your money. Seller can sale you something that's nothing like the item they have listed and Vinted say sort it out yourself.
First time tried with my friend, offered her nike air max (2x) which she never wears at a normal price. Without consultation, question or warning we get a message that they are fake, ads removed. What a bad service. We prefer to solve this with customer service, but if Vinted communicates in one direction, we will do that too.
Opened an account. Started to advertise genuine items that I no longer wanted. 4 items later, I had a notification saying that my account was blocked for suspicious activity. Apparently I didn't meet their guidelines even tho every item was genuine and showed clear pictures showing labels etc. Staff unhelpful and refused to do anything. Contacted them requesting to delete my account. If they're reading this, you really need to get your act together. Employ the right sort of people and not kids who clearly don't know what they're doing! Can't be doing with this kind of rubbish. I will revert back to ebay where I deal with professional people and not amateurs. Would not recommend Vinted.
The customer service at Vinted have created a set of rules that allow them to tell you they cannot help. I lost money on minted through their rule of not giving any kind of guarantee to the sale. When these kind of things have happened before on eBay or Amazon they immediately refunded me, but vinted just send out condescending messages saying "we understand and are sympathetic, but we won't help you"
Bought a dress of a lovey seller with great communication. Yodel delivered the item (dumped outside door) whilst out and when I returned there was no sign of it. Raised it straight away with seller and Vinted. Vinted placed this on hold whilst they looked into it. Yodel confirmed delivery outside porch and Vinted come back with well its been delivered not our problem. After asking repeatedly for help (and then telling me to ask seller for refund) and yodel confirming Vinted have logged a compensation claim I'm left with no other choice than to raise a dispute with the bank. Today received threatening email telling me I can't do that. We'll goods not delivered I think you'll find I can!

I think the title pretty much says it all. I haven't sold one single item since January. I had over 100 items listed. Some people liked my items but no one ever bought. It's a waste of time. If you are frustrated you should feel completely validated...
Been selling/buying on this site for months now and getting more and more frustrated with CS. Buyer didn't pick up item so was returned to me but lost in the process. I've reported this to vinted multiple times and keep getting told different responses! One said I was going to get a refund transferred as timeframe has passed which never arrived and when queried again was told to wait longer. So which is it?! Terrible customer service when something goes wrong. Will not be using this site again.
Do not use - you are taking a huge gamble - we paid for goods and they never arrived. Vinted say they can do nothing about this even though we purchased using their site. It should be stopped as a website. As they are registered in Lithuania you have no chance in taking legal action
As a seller, you will not have any type of support to ensure transactions are honest. Their practices are scams to profit from their users. I was told by its customer service that I would be fully reimbursed but after they made me wait for 4 months, they gave almost half less. They play to tire the customers until they just have to accept whatever they think your item is worth which is NEVER to their disadvantage.
Customer service is appalling. I was sent a dress that was a size 14 but was described as age 14. When I complained Vinted still released the funds to the seller even though the product was mis-sold. I found them extremely unhelpful. It was quite upsetting to know you have been duped and the customer services are not interested in rectifying the matter. They were not interested in the least. I closed my account. I'd recommend that you choose eBay or another company with better integrity. I have since seen the sheer volume of bad reviews which speak for themselves.
I love Vinted for more than one reason alone. The community of members is great... very supportive and from all backgrounds. Being a seller is great! I've made over $800 in only 4 1/2 months from things just sitting in my closet. I also enjoy buying things every now and again too. The app is definitely not a scam. It is still growing so realistically problems happen sometimes. This is life. The support team tries to help the best they can and resolve issues quickly if they arise. Again I love the app, money made, and items bought so far.
Received empty box that seller has shipped to me without the product inside. Reported to Vinted. As soon as I picked up the parcel that something was wrong. Long story short seller and vintedpurchase protection is a joke. They steal your money leaving you with empty Hands. Never again
Update 11/10/2021: They also threaten to close your account when they are the ones that did not resolve the issue covering up by the messages that they were not contacted within 2 days. I have messaged the customer support within 10 minutes after signing for my parcel at the depot, after I was trying to get an answer from the seller who did not respond at the time.
My account got blocked, no reasons were given. Did not get any kind of warning as to what Im done wrong on the site earlier, just straight permanent block in my account all of a sudden. Repeatedly tried to contact CS for 2 months now, just to receive no answer whatsoever. Company like this, and they've got no phone number, god damn ludicrous… Seems impossible to get in touch with them at all
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
