The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I recently made a concert ticket purchase from this website. I cancelled as soon as I realized the cost of a ridiculous finding fee (more than half the cost of the ticket), I cancelled. I only saw the finding fee at the end of the transaction a screen away from finalizing. Low and behold, they processed the purchase anyway, in spite of me pressing cancel. Now I can't even find a way to dispute the error. It's as if, I'm locked out the site to go in to inquire or make a complaint. It's showing no transaction history. I did get an email of the ticket. Now I have to figure out if it's legit. Has anyone ever made a purchase from this site. Viagogo.com?
Ordered 3 concert tickets & happy to pay over the odds for what I wanted, but at closing, charged another £90 gbp! Crooks... just read an article that said the founder is quoted as saying " let's go make a billion"! He realised there are a lot of trusting customers and he's happy to rip us off... DO NOT USE, EVER.
Authorities need to close them down before they walk away with the billion ( or two)!
Stay away! No customer service and they don't care robbing b**tards! Would never use their service again
I'm a new sucker that was taken by a bait and switch ticket sale. I just bought Rockets vs Suns NBA basketball tickets on their site which clearly shows that the tickets I was looking to buy were floor tickets. The UI even shows the limited seating in the section I chose (119) at the Toyota Center, clearly showing the buyer the difference between the "floor seats" and the "lower level" seats. Anyone who has ever been to Toyota Center knows that there are floor tickets and lower level tickets and that they are separate sections within section 119.
Well, once I chose those that section it took a while to find some tickets and said there were only two left at a deeply discounted price from other online ticket shops. I thought the ticket owners were just dumping them at the last minute or something. THe only thing fishy was that it didn't tell me which row or seats I would get, but I know from having sat on the floor that there are only 3 rows. At this price, I didn't care. They're FLOOR SEATS!
So, throughout the entire buying process, I was shown that I was buying floor seats. Once I completed my purchase, the confirmation screen showed Section 119 Row 22. Wait! Huh? Row 22? That's clearly not a floor seat. Rows A-C are floor seats in that section. I have screenshots to prove what happened.
It's been 30 minutes and no tickets sent to my flash seats account yet.
Yup, so I too got shafted by Viagogo. They did have better seated tickets than booking via the arena directly, and I was happy to pay the initial difference in the tickets (50 each) plus the 2 per ticket booking fee.
Then when you are putting in payment details, they say you have only 10 seconds left and you get a pop up... two options: Release tickets or Buy.
Which means you cannot read all the regulations and conditions under the pop up without selecting one of the options... So you panic and buy.
And then end up paying another 93 euros in "taxes".
You cannot cancel or contact this company so I am now paying double for the tickets than I could have been paying. 600 Aussie dollars is an expensive lesson to learn, one mistake I will never make again and I hope you don't either!
Viagogo ripped me off, like it has ripped off so many other people. The tickets I bought turned out to be WAY more expensive than what I thought. I don't care what fine print gets them off the hook legally.
I wish I could give negative stars or at least no stars, I bought tickets to go to the Champions League game for FC Barcelona vs. Roma (4/4/18). Unfortunately I did not read any reviews before I bought the tickets, but after purchasing tickets I did read some reviews and saw that FC Barcelona does not accept tickets that are bought on this website. I called FC Barcelona's ticket office the next day and they did in fact inform me that they do not accept any tickets that are bought through Viagogo. I reached out to the customer service department and let them know what I found out. Their response was basically "to bad, you can try to resell them on their website/app but if I can't resell them than I am out of luck and it is not our problem". They are unethical and refuse to do the due diligence that they owe to their customers, on top of that they refuse to do anything when they are in the wrong. I will be disputing this transaction with my credit card company as well as taking any and all necessary legal actions to ensure I get my money back without screwing over another individual, something that Viagogo is not willing to do.
This company scammed my mother while trying to look for tickets she googled and clicked the first ad (this disgusting excuse for a company) not knowing any better, then when she went to purchase the tickets, still thinking they were legit, they tried to charge her credit card 6x what the advertised amount! Luckily her bank declined the purchase due to exceeding her daily budget. This site is a shocking violation of peoples trust.
AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE NEVER EVER EVER BUY FROM THESE I HAD TO LEARN THE HARD WAY complete rip off inflated prices sold on from other companies, no customer support abslutely disgusting.
I bought two concert tickets (Joaquin Sabina) for Hermosillo Mexico. Unfortunately, the concert was cancelled because the artist ended up in the hospital. VIAGOGO said we needed to ship the hard copy tickets to IRELAND in order to get a refund. The tickets were shipped to us in Mexico from Mexico. The cost to FEDEX tickets to Ireland was almost equal to the price of the tickets! And we had less than a week, and no guarantee that the shipment would arrive in time.
Unfortunately, VISA wasn't any help either. I would consider a cancelled concert to be in the same category as "defective merchandise" since it was a product that was not as advertised. So I am out the cost of the tickets. NOT HAPPY. And, I couldn't call the 866 number on my credit card bill because I am in Mexico.
I purchased two tickets to a San Lorenzo soccer match in Buenos Aires which was scheduled to take place at 18.00 on the 18th March. At 9.35 a.m. on the 17th I was notified by e-mail where I could pick up the tickets. At 12.14 on the 17th The company sent an e-mail with a change of date to the 17th at 15.45! I did not pick up this e-mail until about 18.00 on the 17th so the match had already taken place.
Surely at 9.35 when I was notified about the change of date Viagogo must have had some warning that the date of the match had changed. I paid over 3000 pesos for the two tickets and have no recourse. The company has a customer service line which does not accommodate complaints of this nature. I am assuming they do not want to hear about these issues.
Obviously I also have a major problem with the soccer club which seems to be able to change the date of a match with virtually no notice. I will write to them as well but this experience has soured our view of the way business is conducted in Argentina.
We bought 3 tickets for Disney on ice in singapore, we payed 350$ for the 3 tickets and we received tickets worth 40$. When we were buying the tickets we didnt even realize that we were using viagogo. The website look exactly like the sports hub in singapore and was the first link on google. So its a big scam and a rip-off. Be careful. Dont use them and they should be reported but there is not even a number to call for client service or email or anyone to talk to.
Least helpful company Ive ever encountered
Cannot speak to a real person but they will respond to your email within 24 hours even though you have a collection problem on the day.
Arranged collection of ticket. UPS says reference numbers dont exist, cant get hold of anyone at viagogo
Was supposed to get a text with a approx pick up time, still waiting and latest pick up is 5, its now 4:30.
Absolute sh*t show
I brought and sold tickets from viagogo. The concert was on 24 Feb and it says you will receive payment 5-7 Business days after the concert, not on a different page it says I think will be 10 Business days after the concert which was yesterday and NO PAYMENT. They are very poor at replying to emails as well which doesn't help!
This company lies: the "viagogo guarantee" is 100% worthless, there is no guarantee that you will actually get a ticket to anything you buy via their website. AVOID AT ALL COSTS - they are thieves.
If theres 0, ill rate it as 0! This is bull$#*! forreals. Please dont buy or sell tickets here. I sell my tickets for monsta x and it says if the buyer bought it, ill received my money within 5-8 days after the concert. Wtf is this? I dont think ill even get my money -.-. Please stay awayyyyyyy
I bought tickets 600% over the actual value of the tickets.
They tell you it is fast selling, but it is not true.
If you would like tickets for any event rather contact the locals and ask them where you can buy tickets at fair and at a honest price.
Stay away from Viagogo!
Bought a ticket through Viagogo to see Cirque du Soleil on Sunday, March 04 2018 19:30 at Royal Albert Hall.
It turned out the tickets were acquired using a stolen credit card and I was denied entry. When contacting Viagogo, they said that they were unable to provide a refund since the tickets were not printed on paper - a conveniently crafted legal loophole for them:(
Please do not do any business with them if you do not want to loose your money!
The final price of the tickets I bought was much higher than the one initially announced. Apart from this the opera tickets were for standing places, which wasnt clearly stated during the purchase. Dont ever buy from them
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
