As a longstanding customer of Very im now sadly closing my account, and my wife, sister mother and friend are also following suite. This is purely down to the horrific attitude of the Very fraud investigator named Lisa. Somehow, even though I have had my account approx 5 years longer than my wife Very IT department have cross pollinated them so when I now log in a see my wife's name and when she logs in she sees mine! But our personal age, sex etc details remain the same. She called me to insinuate that I was a fraudulent client and I was deeply shocked with her appalling rude manner when the error lies with Very. Truly horrendous member of staff.
Good products and okay pricing but just try getting any sense if you need further information from them... I bought an over the bed storage unit which didn't come with dimensions (really important if you've got to fit it around your bed) and it took me literally eight e-mails, two live support sessions and three phone calls to try and get this information from them. In the end I ended up asking an eBay seller who was selling the same thing!
Customer service is awful, there is no ability to email to speed the process. Each person has to start from the beginning once you eventually get through. I have had to take two days off work to try and organise a collection of incomplete delivery of a large item this has been going on since October 27th and we are out pocket to the tune of £606 pounds, we will never use them again for any large items and I will be making sure my friends and family do not either
I have been with Very for many years, but I have just closed my account. Their virtual assistant is useless and when I phoned their customer service line, all it said was the number has changed, but it did not give the new phone number. Also when customers returned an item, we could use the enclosed form to give the information, but now we have to fill in all the information online which used to be readily available on the form and need to print it ourselves. This company is only interested in it's customers when they are ordering, but as soon as there is an issue to be resolved, it becomes impossible to contact them.
Awful customer service, awful company to deal with. Be careful if you are vulnerable, as they will take advantage.
My mother was taken advantage of by a dubious scheme that Very offer.
Received an offer from Very for £50 back if my mother spent £100. Then it was rejected due to "internal checks on credit worthiness". Several days later offered a credit card (38% APR) of up to £1,500. When we rang to check whether this meant she waseligible for the £50 discount offer we were on the phone for 90 mins, and during that time the incompetent rep (T. GUFFOOR) mishandled the query completely, and we ended up in a situation where he cut the connection.
They then had the audacity to accuse my mother of being involved in fraudulent activity, and withdraw her credit account. Thank God, she wanted to close the account immediately and never do business with these crooks ever again.

I think it often depends on your own experience as to whether you got a good service or not. I see a couple of unhappy people on here but I order came without any hassle at all. Ordered a few clothes for my little girl and all 3 items arrived and fitted nicely. She will look great at the birthday party now!
I have just opened an account with Very and somehow missed putting in the discount code, which would give me 20% discount. Although it is over the Christmas period I have waited until Bank holidays are finished. I have not been able to talk to anyone, no email address. Feeling very frustrated and may just return goods ordered as I am so annoyed with such poor customer service.
I simply called to make a payment and it took me 30 minutes over the phone just to make a payment! Absolutely ridiculous and a waste of time. The customer service assistants do not value your time and can keep you on the phone all day. If I didn't try and rush the lady, she could have happily taken even longer to do this simple task. Usually I pay online but as I was away, there was no option but to call. Very unhappy with the customer service.
Despicable, company in every way. The company is a sham. Will not honour discount codes, will hold onto refunds for weeks. There motto ( or commandment) Thou shalt not tell the truth, Thou shalt steal customer monies for weeks, Thou shalt employ some South African Moran who does not have a clue to antagonise customers.
Never ever come across a company that treats its customers with so much contempt.

I am furious after purchasing a faulty gaming lap top and an iPhone where both seals were broken on arrival, I returned the phone to be told after 6 weeks that they have received it and are checking it before refunding me.
Go to an established company like John Lewis. Good Customer service is priceless

Hey just claimed i cancelled the order which was already paid. I also received an email 2 days before the delivery day to specify the process of delivery.
- Order got cancelled by magic after 10 days, the day of delivery with zero warning.
- horrible customer service experience: they have zero response and just pass you from department to department.
Appalling. Purchased a wardrobe, drawer z bedside table set a few months back. Triple door Wardrobes are absolutely shocking. Cannot level the doors up regardless of what is done. Even had a joiner friend have a look and even he gave up without managing to rectify it. Had one call back off customer service who left me a voicemail without leaving a direct line to get back in touch. Fast forward to a very frustrating 30 minute call with "customer service" that basically resulted in " you can return it"
No packaging, the house was empty when I built it and the messing about is more hassle than having to open and close the wardrobe doors and drawers in a particular order. Will be closing the account once payment is settled
This company spent 8 months charging me twice for 1 item and after over 20 calls and complaints they finally corrected there system then give me 3 months to pay a 12 month payment plan. What a joke now im am being charged intrested. What a scam. They have no email address just a contact number and then when you finally get through they always say it's not something i can do right now. Crap service
Refusal by Very to get in touch with me about a wardrobe with faulty parts, missing items and one which they knew had been return faulty before by another customer due to scratch marks where they had lifted doors into position. Told parts were ordered, then told out of
Stock, then lied by saying they had tried to call me, lied 3 times that managers were at meetings, informed to contact a queries e mail that bounced back unmonitored. After multiple hours on telephone line waiting by me (my cost) no-one will return my call after promising over and over and even after talking to a manager who said could discount and would get someone to call me, she has no authority to even do so. Worst retail experience I've ever had. Legalised fraud
I ordered a pair of women's trainers in the black Friday sale. Today the order arrived containing a pair of men's loafers. Information on the website instructed me to return the incorrect item and reorder the trainers. When I did this I discovered they are now priced at £90 instead of the £63 I paid for them. I have tried to call the customer service number three times but each time have been cut off before speaking to a human being. There appears to be no way of emailing. Very unimpressed.
Edit - Very have now responded saying they will honour the original price but I have to re-order the trainers at the full price and then they will issue a refund.
Edit - Second pair of trainers have arrived, they have not honoured the refund promised.
I will never order from them again.
Shocking customer service
Tried to place an order used very credit for years suddenly wouldn't let me and had to do proof of identity checks, told I passed after lots of long calls and even a address check and tried to order since and been declined, was not told the reason waiting for over an hour on their phone lines as they obviously don't have enough staff and told I can't use credit anymore till I pay the balance I'm not overdue and owed £200 out of my £1,200 credit limit

Very delayed an order I had made by 60 days - no good to me please cancel it I say. No problem they say but we'll still have to deliver the accessories. Why? What good are they to me? Sorry that's your problem - they say. I say I'll refuse delivery - but they leave them by my bins. I'm still trying to return the items! More days off work waiting for collection agents that never come. Don't shop with Very - they are $#@!
Don't order from these cowboys selling things they haven't got stay clear and the rude staff keep lieing ordered a drum set for disabled daughter and sat in all day lost a days work and money no tracking updates don't order anything from very that is rockjam
I was looking for a new hoover, very.co.uk came up and promises of 20% off first order if I opened an account. Opened the account NO 20 % OFF FORTHCOMING! Tried calling but useless. To top it all Major damage to my credit rating, tried closing the account after paying off the balance then I am told it will take 26 days to officially close the account. They took 2 seconds to open it and give me access to £1500.
I received a camera from Very in November 2019 which was faulty. Very have refused to replace, refused to repair it and refused to refund me. The camera has not ever taken a single picture. I have no idea how Very get away with this. As the camera was a warranty replacement I don't have the option of reclaiming my money via the credit card company either. Don't shop with Very under any circumstances unless you like throwing money down the drain.
