I've bought from Venus for the past 3 years and they are perfect! Sexy but classy is all I can say. There's a huge problem going on and ppl are using Venus's pictures and they're are taking orders and they're making the clothing as they go. It takes forever for the clothing to get to you and the clothing isn't made good at all and the customer service from these ppl are just ridiculous! These ppl are pretending to sell Venuses stuff and Venus is paying for it in a huge way. Ppl don't trust them, ppl are giving Venus bad reviews, ppl are accusing Venus of things and Venus is trying so hard to STOP these ppl from doing this by suing them because they are selling you things that aren't venuses products. Please do your research before you get something that's not made from Venus. It happened to me two separate times. But not once with Venus. I called Venus directly and the woman I spoke with was extremely nice. She said she has to explain to so many that they're legit and all kinds of things. I honestly don't think they deserve any of this. It's not coming from Venus, I can guarantee that you will get exactly what you order and you'll love what you order. Just make sure it's straight from Venus, don't look at a picture and click on it cause you saw it in Venus cause you won't get what you ordered. Customer service is always pleasant and their clothing is always perfect when it's straight up Venus. Get catalogs and order from them, don't order from Amazon cause again they're just pictures and not straight from Venus. I've trust them and so many do as well and have been ordering way longer than I. Venus is a very trusting place.
I am from Canada. I ordered a bathing suit and the next day I received an email regarding a site Venus uses for taxes and duty. They charge 24.95 on top of shipping charges. It states that until the taxes and duty has been remitted, the order would not be sent out. The bathing suit was only 60.00 so I wasn't paying another 25.00 plus shipping for the suit. Not worth it. I called that day and spoke to someone who ensured me that he cancelled the order. I checked my credit card statement and saw they took payment anyway. I called back and spoke to someone else who said that unfortunately, the previous person tried to cancel the order but it had already been sent and they couldn't track it. She told me to wait until it was delivered and to deny the charges and have it sent back and if I hadn't received anything in three weeks to call back. It has been three weeks and still no package and still the money has not been returned. I called back again and spoke to an extremely rude person who informed me that there was no way they could have not sent it out (even though the email said it would not be sent out till taxes and duty was remitted), that I had to wait till it showed up (with no tracking they also couldn't tell me where it was), and I wasn't getting my money back until they received the clothes back. This is incredibly poor customer service especially since I had been assured by the one employee that my order had been cancelled. So I'm sitting here... hoping it shows up so I can get my money back. Will I use Venus again? Nope! And it's unfortunate because I have bought their clothes before and was really happy with my purchases. Not worth the headache.
I have ordered several items from Venus they are not true to size I wear a size 10 in jeans I now have a size 8 and they are still fat jeans
Summary:
The quality is similar to a department store while slightly cheaper. Clothing does look like the photographs, though of course they fit me slightly different than on the models. Sizing was good. I did not try to return anything. Overall: satisfied and will probably order again.
Details: After reading so many bad reviews I was kinda scared, but there were good reviews too so I decided to try it out. First of all, I don't usually order from catalogs (that's how I found out about Venus), and second I'm a hard person to size in general. Relevant info about myself: 5'4'', 105lbs, size somewhere between 0 and 2. I usually buy all my clothes from department stores and even with them, spending $50 - $80 per dress, it's hit and miss. I ordered two dresses from Venus and a pair of shoes. The dresses are great! Of course I can nitpick, but considering they were $30 and $40, they were about the same quality I'd get at the department store. My nitpicking: the coat dress I bought is too large in the chest area. It looks fine but I'd have to wear a cami or an undershirt if I don't want to show my bra off to everyone. The rest of the dress, however, is amazing. My figure looks great! The second dress - sparkle mini lace dress - I'd say it'd look more flattering if the skirt started lower (but if you're tummy isn't perfectly flat like mine the higher waist line is probably beneficial), and the dress just lacks an overall wow factor. That being said it does make my breasts look amazing! I'm not sure how it would look for those more endowed than I (I am a solid A cup), but for those like myself I would seriously recommend it. Finally, the shoes were fine. I did expect better on them and the ankle straps are way too big (I'll have to make my own hole to fasten the shoes safely), but I have no doubt that I'll be wearing them soon. As I've said, overall I'm satisfied.
Good evening. I just called the 1800 number and spoke with Lee at 11:12 pm on October 9,2015 explaining that I mailed a box with the VENUS UPS label on September 23,2015.
On Tuesday, October 6 is was returned to my office. I just had time to open the box to realize to my horror that the box contained my returned items with the receipt.
I called Lee. He claimed he could not hear me. I spoke slower and clearly. I have a Jamaivan accent. He said maybe I did not use the right label. This is VERY INSULTING to say to a medical doctor who had ordered and returned clothes to Venus over the past FOUR years that I did not use the right label.
I told him I took a picture of the box when I dropped it off to USPS. He asked me for the tracking number. I told him it was blurry. I will forward this email with the picture to you. Before I could finish reading off the numbers to him he rudely interrupted me "that is not our label".
I asked for a supervisor. He said "why are you so defensive?" I asked 3 more times for a supervisor. I told him that I would not tolerate his racist comments. Just because I have a Jamaican accent, does not give him the right to dismiss my problem as my being TOO DUMB to use the right label.
Then I wait 5 mins to hear there are so supervisors available. So one will call me back.
Up to now he has not said "ma'am I am sorry for the inconvenience. I simply need VENUS to send me a return label. Have UPS come pick it up. I Good evening. I just called the 1800 number and spoke with Lee at 11:12 pm on October 9,2015 explaining that I mailed a box with the VENUS UPS label on September 23,2015.
So while I wait I will post this ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA!
I am a busy physician who will not go to the post office again. I will NOT pay to return it again.
The first sign that this was a bogus company occured when my order arrived at my home in Toronto and the delivery guy said that I had to pay a 'Customs tax' which cost almost as much as the actual order. ( my order was $107US and the 'Customs Tax was $89 Cdn). Before I could even make a call to Venus to inquire about this hefty 'Customs Tax' that I have never had to pay when ordering from any other US retailer, I opened the package to discover that they had shipped the wrong order. Instead of 4 ladies tops I had received 2 pairs of women's size 10 shoes. To say that I was livid would be putting it midly. After an endless series of emails and phone calls back and forth to their customer service department, I was informed that I could keep the shoes (which i had absolutely no use for) but would have to pay an additional 'Customs Tax' to have the correct order shipped.
This should have been my cue to abandon the whole effort but like so many fashion obessed consumers, I really wanted to order some of the items I saw in the catalogue modeled by women who more closely represent my curvy size 10 figure.
I relented and placed the order, paid the 'Customs Tax' which although reduced was still way more than it should be. Three out of the 4 tops I ordered either did not fit or did not look like they did in the catalogue.
By this time I was so fed up with Venus that I did not even bother with a return. I just took the 3 ill-fitting/not like the catalogue tops, the wrongly shipped size 10 women's shoes and donated them to a local clothing bank.
So essentially with the exchange rate, and double 'customs tax' I paid over $200 and got one blouse out of the whole order. Trust me folks... I never write reviews but think twice before spending your money with this company. I can see from some of the other reviews posted here that people have had similiar experiences.
If a company is consistently getting low reviews online its something that prospective customers need to be informed about.
I ordered two dresses totaling $181.00 on September 20,2020. I paid $5.95 extra for 2 day shipping. Immediately after placing my order, I received an email from Venus stating that my order was pending being processed due to my billing address needing to be verified. The email explained that I could verify the billing address through this email. I did. It said it was effective and was processing. Eight days later, I hadn't received my order. I called customer service and spoke with a nice woman, who I do not remember her name. I advised her of the situation. She let me know that my order was pending being processed due to needing verification of my billing address and that since I had never placed an order through Venus before, as soon as I verified, my order would ship. I explained to her that I did verify my account and billing address on 9/20/2020 via email. She said that it was not verified. I then told her that I would like to cancel my order. She put me on hold and when she returned she apologized and said that her supervisor will guarantee that my order will be shipped TODAY. She then said, my order will arrive by Thursday, 10/1/2020. She also said that she would refund me for the two day shipping of $5.95.
On saturday 10/3/2020, I still have not received my order. I went to Venus.com to check the status of my order and to track it. It shows that my order has NOT shipped and that it is still "processing".
I called customer service, AGAIN. I spoke with a woman named Van, who quite frankly, was straight up rude. I advised Van of my situation. I was calm, polite, and never raised my voice. Van let me know that my order had not shipped because I did not verify my account. I again explained the situation. She told me that I would have to wait for it to verify before they could ship my order. I told her that I would like to cancel my order and Van immediately canceled it, never asked me if she could get a supervisor, and never asked me if she could help me to verify my order ad get it shipped out ASAP. I will NEVER shop with Venus again.

If these people can't even respond to a question says a lot. Happy I didn't waste my money here...
I got charged late fees and interest on an order that I never received and Venus and the CC company would not do anything about it.
Only out to serve themselves. Poor customer service. They just ignored me until they took my money

They charge for exchanging an outfit for a different size. Three times I received items with spots.
I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEN AGAIN. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TERRIBLE RETURN POLICY. AND THE CLOTHES ARE WAY OFF ON SIZING AND VERY CHEAP.
Hello Terese, we apologize that your experience has not been up to expectations. We would love to have the opportunity to make this a better experience for you. Please e-mail us at socialsupport@venus.com with your information and we will be happy to assist.
I ordered for the first time and I was so happy with the fit the quality and the quick delivery AAAplus definitely going to be purchasing more
Hi Wilma! Thank you for sharing your experience and for your five star review. Customer satisfaction is very important to us and we are happy to we have been able to continuously achieve that.
I have to agree with some of the other reviews. I like Venus.com and I was hesitant because of all the negative reviews even though the clothes were so cute. I'm already picky
Anyway, but I had to try to see how it was for me as well. I have been ordering from Venus since April 2013 and out of the 20 orders since then, I have had to exchange 7 items for a smaller size and I've asked for a refund twice because the clothing looked absolutely awful on me.
Like I said before, I'm picky when it comes to clothes but when I found Venus I fell in
Love with the clothes because there were so many I actually liked and wanted. I have to
Agree that a lot of the clothes are thin, to the point where you have to wear a tank or
Something underneath it. I think a lot of the clothes are a little expensive period, and I really think they should be cheaper. I hate some of the advertisements of 'up to 25%, 50%, 75% off' when most of the items are on the lower percentage of range.
When I shop now, I always try go to the clearance or sale section and I'm always looking for a discount code. When they have the $25 gift card with a $50 purchase, I always get that. Always.
I'm not the biggest fan of the new credit card rewards. I don't have one myself, and I'm not
Tempted to apply either. This may just be me, but a $15 birthday gift certificate during your birthday month is NOT enough. They offer $25 gift certificates every so often and they're saying that for credit card holders, they're only gonna give $15? Even if you aren't a credit card holder, you still get a $25 gift card with a $50 purchase for you birthday month if you purchase within within a certain amount of time. Again, these clothes aren't cheap and I think it should be a bigger reward than what everyone else could get if they search for a coupon somewhere on the internet or if they received one in an email. Now, the $15 off for your birthday month may be offset by the $5 reward you get for every $100 that is spent, but even that could be bumped to $10. They could at least give back 10%. But again, that's just me.
I live in Ohio and normally received my package exactly one week later if I don't choose
Faster shipping.
Overall, I still love the clothes from Venus and I will continue to buy from Venus until I find
Something better for a lower price. Like any other clothing store, sometimes it's a hit and
Sometimes it's a miss.
This has lead for a month of venus promising to regurn my money. Unfortunately i have lost my tracking number or misplaced and didnt have it. So they decided tostall me like it wasnt important to them at all for them to have good customer service at all. I called in two weeks after or I actuall didnt remember how far after I called after I dropped off the bag of cloths to the post office. Anyway, I sent it to them. They said give it another week and it will show up on there system. I said okay. I called the following week, still nothing, and than I called the following demanding to speak to speak to the manager for my refund, the manager promised to refund my money by the 29 of either way if they dont see the bag or not. I CALLED ON THE 29 ASKING THAT I DONT SEE THE REFUND ON MY ACCOUNT. THE LADY WENT BACL TO THE MANAGER AND THE MANAGER SAID WAIT UNTIL JULY 1 AND THAN WE WILL REFUND YOUR MONEY, AT THIS POINT, I am at total disgrace. This was a total disgrace. As the representative was about hang the phone eith me I told her I have been on this issue with you guys since may 19 this has h
Gone long enough. This is 200 dollars we are talking about. Finally she came back to the phone and she said she was able to refund me the 200 dollars. Even though she was able to refund the money the money back, unfortunately I will not be buying cloths from them again.
Hi Lizaveta! We apologize that your experience was anything less than exceptional. We would love the opportunity to review your account and make this right. Please e-mail us at socialsupport@venus.com for more information.
I loved the Venus before the redo. Now the jeans are cut way too small and the dress material thin.
Hi Kim! We apologize that your experience has not been meeting your expectations lately. We would love to see what we can do to make this right. Please e-mail us at socialsupport@venus.com and we will be happy to address your concerns with you.
I am in Canada. Ordered a swimming suit online. Asside of the fact that it took almost 4 weeks to arrive, I'll say it is fine. Not the best quality, not the worst. For the first order there were no taxes or duty. Second order: a dress. Same day I received an e-mail saying I have to pay taxes and duty up front. All together arround 50% on top of the dress price, and shipping. Odd... but there is an option they say to pay the taxes on delivery. Called and asked why is this order different than the first. They offered a lame excuse that there is a speed on delivery and this is the reason why I have to pay up front for duty and tax. When I said that I haven't asked for speed delivery, they replied that all the orders are placed with speed delivery. This is really strange. Ok, no worries, I let them know that I will pay the duty and tax on delivery.
Now the funny part: I placed my order on May 30,2017, has been shipped on May 31,2017. Today, June 08,2017 I received an e-mail saying that my refund has been processed. I'm calling: "what refund?!? Oh, your dress, you've returned it because it was the wrong size". Let me assure you, I've never received nor returned the dress. My humble opinion, they never even shipped it to me. It wouldn't have been possible to make it to Canada and back in 5 business days. Now we are disputing the shipping charge, they say is non refundable, I'm saying that I don't pay for something that has never been shipped. Show me a proof that I've send it back... They prommised to credit the shipping charge back. Let's hope they'll do it.
Customer service is terrible. Of course that dress is not available now, there is no back order, they are not even sorry for their mistake.
As for duty and taxes paid up front through a website that Venus is partenerred with... I'll say it's a huge scam. 50% on top of the item value (and this is not including the shipping)... I rather have CBSA assesing the duty and tax... but probably because I refused to pay duty and tax to Venus " partner" they made sure that I will never receive my order.
I'll stay away from now on, too much trouble to deal with this company.
Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!
Answer: Create and account at their site, Sign up for catalogs by submitting your address info.
Answer: THESE DRESSES RUN VERY LONG! THE MODELS TEND TO BE 5 FT 9 IN. OR TALLER! I AM 5 FEET 4 INCHES SO I DO NOT ORDER ANY MAXI DRESSES... LOOK/CHECK TO SEE IF THERE ARE PETITE OPTIONS FOR THESE DRESSES. GOOD LUCK!
Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens. Just because I am 53 does not mean I want to dress "old". LOVE Venus clothes. Their returns are fine too, I found them easy and friendly to work with. Hope this helps. Smiles, Joanne
Answer: I would go with the medium. I found they run a lil big.
Answer: Complete junk dont waste your money!
Answer: I think some of their styles are knock-offs of Cache. Unfortunately, Cache is closing shop... which really bums me out!
