I purchased a $59 dress with $9.95 shipping, which came out to $90 once my bank converted it to Canadian currency and it took 4-5 weeks to ship. Would be nice if on their website the prices were marked US $ but I know its in the fine print.
I ordered an XS bandage dress, colour blue and the material is soft and stretchy for a tight dress. Fit is weird though: I am 5 ft 4 at 116 lbs and it fit great everywhere except the shoulders and arms of the dress were large and out of proportion to the rest of the dress. I wont return it considering how awful the return reviews are.
The clothes are ok made. What gets me so upset about this site is that several times when I placed an order with their preorder clothes, my orders always seem to get cancelled with same message that the items have been discontinued. If your going to offer the clothes for preorder they should NOT be discontinued. I normally spend quite a bit but I think I am going to take my business elsewhere from now on.
Did not receive my order... Then told by customer service "did the shipping receipt state it was on back-order"... Hummm it didn't state it was on back order at time of ordering, shows the item was shipped, no notifications, just not received and nothing denoted... Worst customer service, no advance notice, they just don't come through and are good with that... And unless you follow up you will never see what you purchased - stay away from this company it's a sham
I returned a item almost 2 months ago. They shipped my exchange Feb 22 and I still have not received anything. I thought 2 months would be lots of time for shipping before my holiday. But apparently not. I've called several times as the email I was sent said 7-10 days. Customer service was no help at all. I asked if they would send me my bathing suit top express but they told me they wouldn't because it probably wouldn't get there on time. Very very dissatisfied with customer service!
They always have an excuse and always is we're really back up at the warehouse, this is the second time I have a problem with the delivery of my item.
I guess it will be the last one. Really sad because I really love theirs clothing.
I ordered four sweaters from Venus.com. One was plain and very hard to mess up I would think, one didn't have much shape but was very comfy so am keeping them. The other two were AWFUL! The stitching was literally showing at the edge of each sweater. One was a cropped shoulder that had a large hem sticking out! Such poor quality. The turtleneck was so stretched out and shapeless that it actually looked oval. The second sweater was tiny in the bust yet huge on the waist (trust me, I don't have the bust to fill it out. It was just deformed) For $40 a sweater, I would expect higher quality than something that looked homemade from a home-ec class! Will never order again! The catalogs are very deceiving! The clothes look nothing like the pictures.
Ordered in November for the holidays. Got an email on the 30th of November saying it has shipped. As of dec 12, there are no shipping updates when I try and track it. I've tried to contact customer service twice and they just tell me it is in transit. Leaving for a few days to spend the holidays out of town. Would never had ordered had I known it was going to take more than two weeks to arrive. Website says 5-7 days for Canadian shipping. I've ordered from here before with no issues. Will definitely not be ordering again as this is a huge inconvenience for me now that I'm going out of town and will be worried about my parcel arriving and nobody to receive it. Order elsewhere that has more reliable shipping.

After reading mixed reviews from different dress stores I ended up choosing outeriner as they generally got good feedback. Of course I was anxious for my dress to arrive as I needed it for my graduation. I felt nervous opening the box, which arrived in the week they said it would about 5 weeks after I ordered the dress, but the whole dress was beautiful. Best part is that a dress very similar to some I saw costing about $300 cost me just $105! Great color, fit, and quality!

I always thought Venus clothes were absolutely beautiful. But my orders don't get processed and same for my pre-orders. I send request on chat about my items and all I heard was "its been delayed". Then a little time goes by and I'm requesting status again. This time I hear that my item is no longer. So I end up seeing like 3 of my prior orders showing canceled. When I see one of my orders selling and my size showing available. I am saddened by thier unprofessionalism and lack of customer service.
I ordered from this store 3 separate times and about 8 items overall. Everything fit perfectly and I thought the quality was good. I get compliments each time I wear one of the items. I have not had any bad experience at all and I hope to continue. I did not have to go through the returns process, so I cannot comment on that.

I have ordered a bath suit online back in May. It was shown on the payment page it would be delivered in June. To which it never did. I called customer service and I was told all of these suits are back ordered and actually they never even got in yet. But to cancel the order and reorder and it will be here by July 3. It's July 4th I call Cds a gain and was told calm down you only ordered it in June... but also it's back ordered but it's not guaranteed. So they knowingly advertise items that they do not even have in stock or are getting in stock... this is the worst company and rudest cashier reps

I just got up from from phone with Venus. I bought 2 bathing suit. One of them, was too big on my body. I call for exchange size and they want to charge me shopping when I already payed for shipping. And they would charge me shipping again. I would never buy any clothing there. Be careful.
The clothes are cute, but quality is "meh" and some clothing was oversized. I returned a package 10 days ago, but when I contacted customer service, they said they are sometimes behind. That's not very good. The shipping isn't the fastest either, but I did get it in about a week and a half, it's the return that has me worried. They said that if it's not received in 30 days, they would honor the return, but I don't want to wait 30 days :(
Purchased clothing, questionable value, then returned something... well that started it. Got charged about $15 to return items... No where on booklet did it state that, it said free returns, NOT! Angel send me a scripted live chat. Told her I was dissatisfied as I did not see it anywhere posted. I told her I was reporting to BBB and I will protest it with my visa company. She wrote back "thank you for shopping with us and hope to service you in the future" They are sneaky and the clothing not that good. Do not waste your time or money on them. I bet that Angel is a phony name anyway, they do not try to resolve problems, I have a $25 gift card sitting there will not use. They are a scam...
I've ordered from Venus.com many times. I DO know that their tops do run a bit larger than expected so even with a 34C bust I always order the Extra small. I've lost weight recently (22 lbs) and there is a top I am DYING for on their site right now. Its orange and has embellished beading on it. It looks tight on the model but perfectly fitting on her so don't know if I should go with a small or extra small. I've never purchased pants, dresses as I'm only 5.2 so definitely would be too long for me and would have no idea as far as which size to order really. I LOVE their clothing and don't see problems with the quality. I know most are made of rayon/poly blend. I DO feel that the site should offer promo codes or codes to use as most online clothing sites do
I have been ordering from this site for a couple years. I find the quality to be just fine for the price point. The sizing in clothing has been spot on for me. On the occasion I don't like something returning is easy and it clearly states you will be charged $6.95 for shipping label. No biggie and worth the convenience in my opinion. On the off chance I have a question and dealt with customer service they were always cordial and helpful. My orders always arrive in a timely fashion and I am always immediately notified if there is a delay or backorder. I would highly recommend the clothing and swimwear from this company.

I ordered five items after an icon kept popping up when I was on Facebook. Four arrived a couple weeks later, which is a while to wait but Venus at least is an American company. One item is still on back order and the most expensive item was not there. In it's place was a dress I didn't order. The material on the shirts is thin. Wearable quality but it doesn't "sizzle" like the picture. I called and the guy said he would send the correct item but I must return the item THEY sent by mistake. I hate post offices around Holidays. Wish I hadn't messed with this company!
I shop at Venus.com regularly. I know my size well enough now that I rarely have to return anything. I have always been satisfied with the quality. I get tons of compliments on my selections. Contemporary fashion at affordable prices. So affordable, my shopping cart fills up fast! I would highly recommend.
I returned a " final purchase"pants and they charged me $7 shipping for each of the two pants returned plus wouldn't refund nor return the pants, stating that it was a "final sale" (stayed in small, inconspicuous print).

Answer: I've been buying from Venus FOR YEARS(!) so I was so surprised at all the bad reviews. Yes, occasionally I've been unhappy with a purchase BUT it's rare; and yes, there was a couple of items that I found "cheap-looking" (but I'm super-careful to read the material description prior to purchase - sometimes you can just tell). Their sizing surprises me though... I'm usually a large in regular & a XL in juniors BUT I always wear a Medium in Venus clothing (5'1", 115 lbs, 36D) - I'm thinking that they cater to the "busty"? (Or maybe the clothes ARE made in China?) Who knows... don't care... their clothes are different from anywhere else & I always get compliments - especially from my husband! However, after 15 + yrs as a customer, I must admit I was unaware they offered free returns (good to know :), but happy I've only returned 2 or 3 items & didn't have any issues - re-packed (w/in 30 days), dropped at PO & rec'd credit on my CC. My ONLY complaint with Venus is the prices; the trick is to wait for a sale (and PS, there prices change every 24-72 hours - NOT kidding!) Everyone has an opinion... if YOU like their clothes, give them a try & form your own - you may just be missing out on fashions that'll look great on you!

Answer: The quality of these closes are horrible! I bought a sweatshirt and the large pocket on the front was down on crooked and the seams on both sides were very uneven. The $70 boots I bought were awful. They both said 7 1/2 but 1 didn't fit at all and they both had holes in the shoes.
Answer: I am a perfect size 8 in say an Old Navy sweater which makes me a M. I am a M with Venus I feel their sizes are way closer to being realistic than say Victoria Secret. Apparently at Victoria Secrets no one has arms or hips. I'm 5'5,135 lbs, size 8 in normal close yet if I pay alot of money for say a dress that dress could be a 6, like at Nordstroms, Yet if I went into say Forever 21 just to get a shirt/sweater/dress chances are I would purchase a Large because they cater to teens.
