Take the free trial then they cancel it before it is up so that you cannot cancel. After that you get a collection letter plus a "Dunning Fee" then a threat of collection these guys are just in it to scam you oh! And there is no membership for your $200 plus bucks that is gone it is a eyes wide open FUBAR
I sign up for 15 days free trial and only use for 1 day before I cancel it. Now the usenet.nl charge me 2000 dollars for 3 months of service. Wtf. They do not even have
Subscription cancellation on their website when I first sign up. 1 day of use barely one day of use and they charge 2000 dollars. Why not rob several banks. If I can rate a negative on this it be negative infinity.
This company is absolute trash. I called and cancelled before the 14 day trial ended and they are claiming I did not. They took 99.00 out and refuse to refund it. Their call system takes 20 minutes to get an answer, at least, which is probably on purpose so people can't cancel. SCAM COMPANY DO NOT SIGN UP.
Please do not use this site. I am a writer and have just found one of my books advertised on this site. I have not authorised this. If they genuinely have this book - which they probably do not - they have obtained it illegally. I repeat, do not use. They are ripping off readers and writers alike.
They gave me fraudulent fees and sent it over to a legitimate debt collection agency called Debt Collection Australia (who are dumbasses, because they followed up on the fraudulent claim), tried to collect. Awful and the actual service they provide isn't that great either.
I tried to download a document with a free trial and didn't get it. I assumed the free trial was no good. Incomplete.
Fast forward 2 months, and I noticed a charge that I didn't recognize. A $99 charge. Looks like they billed last month and I didn't catch it until a few days ago when I saw the current charge and immeduately cancelled my card. I tried to call and reached their recording saying I'm calling outside of the hours of business operation even though I'm calling within the hours listed as operating hours on their website. I tried to download their form to make sure I'm covered to cancel something that I don't recall receiving confirmation was activated in the first place. (I'm unable to locate any correspondence confirming activation.) Not surprisingly the form won't download. I have no way to contact these people and they've already taken $99. Totally fradulent.
Terrible service. They make it difficult to cancel your service. I called and talked to a representative who was very rude and condescending. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. This was honestly the worst interaction I've ever had as a customer.
I cancelled during the free trial and they are trying to send me to collections. I'm not going to pay them and I recommend no-one else does either. I don't know why PayPal allows them to use their platform.
Here is my whole story: https://toughnickel.com/scams-fraud/Is-Usenetnl-a-scam
I have had a similar issue. I tried canceling at the 14 day trial and they indicated I did not meet the cut-off because of the time difference. This was in 2015. Fast forward to 2017 and I just got a collection letter. I provided them proof of me trying to cancel in 2015, but they indicated unless I have a cancelation confirmation that I still owe. Has anyone had experience with this? Did this get reported on your credit?
They simply charged me USD99 without providing any notice. It is mentioned there is cancellation right for the contract and they will refund accordingly. But after I request for cancellation properly, they just simply terminate the contract and mention that they cannot refund my money. Such a scam, liar and thieves company.
Today I've lost 99.96Euro after 14 Free trial days. Although I've not use their service or their solfware since the first times i registered and tried their service. My bank advised me contact with usenet and ask them for refunding my money but i cant contact with them. I tried to call their hot lines but that number is block or doesn't use for a while. My only hope to take money back is a letter to them on their website though it's not replied yet. It's some kind of trick so pls never try their service whether only 1 time!
This is a scam site. I have written our Washington State Attorney Generals office registering a complaint. I have received a collection letter from them even though I cancelled. Others in a similiar situation as me have noted that the collection letters escalate in intensity to threats of lawsuits and threats against my credit history.
FIRST DO THIS:. They generally use Paypal to setup your account and bill through Paypal. Go to your paypal page and cancel your subscription with them to ensure they do not steal any money from you... IF and only IF you get a collection letter from them write your State Attorney Generals office and register a complaint detailing your situation... send the scam collection agency a copy of the letter you have registered
I signed up as they specifically stated they had something I was after. However nothing that I looked for existed. They are simply a newsgroup retention site, and not even as good as some of the others out there. I cancelled within days. So... spam, scam, false advertisng, and if reading the other reviews are correct, poor customer service and aggressive tatics too.
AVOID THIS COMPANY THEY RIP YOU OFF AND TAKE YOUR MONEY EVEN THO YOU HAVE CONTACTED AND CANCELLED BEFORE TRIAL ENDS. THEY HAVE BLATANTLY IGNORED EVERY CORRESPONDENCE SENT REGARDING CANELLEATION AND REQUESTING MY MONEY BACK.
Oh my god, this is really scam site usenet.nl - i start my trial but everything was useless as sh1tttttt. I cancel my trial process then the site asked me to call a number. Oh my god. Instantly i found these reviews and make a call to the bank for lock my visa. This site was taken me 1 usd when i registered.
If you show your card information to the site, you should lock your bank account instantly!
I tried their site and used my paypal account they sent me an email saying they cannot verify payment so I stopped insisting and then just yesterday i received a txt message from my bank that they took $99 and I was really surprised because that wasn't the card I was letting them to hold the amount. I cancelled pre-approved payment thru paypal but usenet won't allow me to cancel on their site and that I need to call. I sent them an email. Just received a response from them today that they won't process any refund because I missed the timeframe to cancel. I am just a 20 yr old kid and I need those for college!
You think you take a trial but suddenly they get 85,00euro from your Paypal account! Not possible to cancel! Paypal is happy to practice them! Paypal love to help scammers for money! #thankspaypal shame on you!
I am getting a bill for usenet that I have never used or signed up for. USENET out of Domagnano, san marino. They are asking me to send money... FRAUD Watch out for this and this company. Look up usenet and fraud.

Hi guys, from now on i call myself N. Almost got scammed by usenet.nl. They wanted 104,41 EUR from me. Fortunately my bank doesn't let them take it off my bank account. I am super worried what will happen if i never pay them. I want to delete my account but as i can see you first need to pay them and then your account will be deleted or they say they do it but they don't do it. Can anyone please answer my question: what will happen if i will never pay? They have my adress but i quickly changed it.
Answer: I've been getting them for nearly a year now. Nothing has happend beyond getting letters
Answer: I subscribed to a 14 day trial and like many quickly was faced with the difficulty of unsubscribing and locked into a 1 year plan. They will hunt you down and make you pay with a debt collector, so the only viable push back is legal support. If this has happened to you, report it to econsumer.gov and your local authorities, the more of us who report it, the more likely they will be investigated and face criminal charges.
Answer: They took money from me too but Paypal reversed it! They continued to send me me letters each time upping the amount. I have just this minute spoken to a Paypal adviser. Who said.`Don`t worry theres nothing they can do. Paypal have jurisdiction over them. If Paypal decides they are fraudulant theres nothing they can do! If they continue to harass you got to the police and ask for a harassment form... ignore them don`t pay ANYTHING TO THEM!
Answer: I haven't paid and I won't, if you ignore it as I am, then, if they want to peruse the matter they would have to get a court order to send in the bailiffs. I highly doubt they would attempt this, as shady companies, a, do t want to raise attention to their dubious practices and b) they wouldn't win anyway, as I've never even used this services what evidence could they present? It's worth noting that such threating letters could easily be deemed as harassment and you have every right to contact the police and press criminal charges!
Answer: Yes you can. With my experience working with them it's either going to be far easier or the only way to go through PayPal versus going to them directly
