Terrible customer service online and in store. I spent 3000 in one day, and not that I deserve special treatment, but Im clearly someone who gives them business. This business turned into a joke. They clearly cant handle clients, and no wonder they have $#*!ty reviews everywhere. I'll take my money elsewhere.
Love Ulta! I've been a platinum member for many years, and their rewards program is awesome. Beats Sephora out of the water! Love redeeming 2000 points for $125 off. I only wish the diamond level was easier to achieve. Sephora Rouge is $1000 spend/year, but Ulta Diamond is $1200 spend/year. I always fall just slightly short. Customer service is great (only contacted once or twice since I virtually have no issues).
Horrible customer service. I will never buy from them again. I emailed back and forth 5 times with specific question about fixing an order or getting a store credit for a free accessory and they cannot answer a question or even acknowledge what I'm asking. They clearly cannot understand English. I wanted the free item that was missing or store credit. They never addressed either question. Do not buy from them. I will be returning the product.
I placed an order online and after three days of it having "been delivered," I contacted customer service. They said they wouldn't refund or replace the order since it had been marked delivered to the correct address. I demanded proof, and they sent a picture from their tracking company of my package left on a pile of trash, which was obviously then thrown away by refuse collectors. Ulta still refuses to refund my order. I would never recommend anyone purchase from them online.
I have been shopping at Ulta for a few years and am a rewards customer. I forgot my coupon and asked them to look up my card and was told they will not do that. I told them I would go somewhere else then. They said see ya. Really? So I did. Also want to mention that they are selling hairspray without lids. I was told they were damaged in shipping. Who would pay full price for hair spray with no top on it at that price. Love the products Ulta sells but choose to shop else ware because of the customer service. So sad.
I like ulta for being an all-in-one kind of marketplace. Every time I need to get a new lip product (yes, I'm obsessed with lipstick) I go on this website. The variety of brands and prices for them are great for me. One thing is a little problem is that when I'm browsing the website I can't stop and often order too much. Overall would really recommend.
I love Ulta! They have all my favorite products! Plus when you check out they'll often times give you free samples.
I recommend their body shop section. I prefer Ulta over the body shop because unlike the mall. Everything is in one store instead of having to also run by Sephora
As a long time customer, for years I am highly disappointed in Ulta. I recently tried to place an order 2 days straight to take advantage of the daily deals. Each time my transactions were declining. I reached out to customer service who said I would receive a call from a Supervisor, which I never received. I later received an email saying the items in my cart went against their guidelines. I am confused because all I had was perfume, make up and nail polish in my cart, and there were no multiples of the same item to indicate anything shady. I've asked several times what in my cart went against guidelines but I have yet to receive an answer. That's fine because I was able to keep that $170 in my pocket and ULTA doesn't have to worry about my business again. Upon reading reviews from several sites, it seems they gave gone downhill.
I ordered some replacement face brushes online noticed they had a promotion and called customer service to adjust my order. They were excellent! Nice, quick, just extremely helpful. The brushes came on time and were nicely packaged. This is service as it should be. Customer for life.
This is my second time going to Ulta and both experiences were horrible, left the store mad. Employees are very antisocial. I went today for the clinique sale so I went up to some female in a pixie cut and simply asked "excuse me, Ma'am where are the Clinique sets that are on sale?" and her response was literally "I don't know". What in the world are you working here for then is what I wanna know now?!? Never going back!
Ulta is honestly one of the only places I'll buy makeup. They have such a wide variety from drugstore brands all the way to very high end brands. The customer service is always great and helpful with returns.
I think Ulta has a little bit of everything for each customer from quality to price. However the staff sometime seems a bit questionable at times or not so enthusiastic to be there. They also seem to try and put heavy makeup on you that you might feel is not even a match, just look at the makeup of those trying to sell and find an employee that looks more like your application style - the more natural the better and less is more in my opinion.
I'm not near a Sephora which I find to be a step above this chain in product and customer service but what I do like is the easy return if something doesn't work out for you.
You might however just leave with the feeling those employed will be talking about you after you left the store.
I have found some really great items at Ulta for a good price, but also have bought some highly rated items that turned out crappy. Be sure what you buy, before you buy, is easily returned if you are unhappy with it. And be careful not to spend too much. Many of their items are cheaper elsewhere.
I could spend a weekend in here and still find new things I've never seen before, amazing store! SOmetimes the prices maybe a little more expensive but everything is in one place and easy to find. Love it!
Listen to your valuable loyal customers. If something is an easy fix to make a customer (who is a diamond status credit card holder) happy, just do it! I have a 2 year old and an 8 month old who has cleft palate and I'm going through a treatment myself while my children's father abandoned us earlier this year. The only thing I get to do for myself that makes me smile is my makeup. I NEVER received the birthday gift in June. I checked everywhere in my email. I activated everything I was supposed to. Ulta doesn't care one bit that I didn't receive it. Yes, I understand it's a few days into July but I never received anything! It's not like I received it and just didn't use it. It's a $15 item that could SOMEHOW be sent to me but Ulta refuses to leave me satisfied. No one took any extra steps. They basically said "sucks to be you!"

I ordered twice from them this holiday season and had zero issues- great free gifts with my order.
Truly helped me not run around mall after mall. I will definitely order gifts for friends from this site when they want cosmetic related items
I ordered a bunch of items worth a lot of money online for gifts, ulta has still yet to refund me my money or even send out my package that I still never received. The customer service is horrible when you call. Still waiting for them to investigate my stuff and I just keep waiting and waiting even after paying for all my items. I much rather shop at Sephora they are a lot nicer.
I like shopping at Ulta. The sales people on the floor are there to help but not in your face or pushy. I absolutely LOVE Ulta! Their brand of makeup is awesome for the price and they have the best points system!
I used to love Ulta Beauty, and could count on great packing and prompt shipping times. My last two orders contained items in bottles. They were shipped in bubble mailers, and the plastic bottles a little dented. I won't shop there again, and don't recommend them.
I love Ulta! The only reason I took a star off is because there are some high end brands that they just don't carry. Things like Gucci for example. Their rewards/points system is awesome, perhaps better than Sephora's however they don't include samples/free promo items like Sephora either. Their customer service is definitely better than Sephora's and they're much easier to get in touch with. If you're looking for great makeup/haircare- general beauty supplies, I recommend Ulta. If however you're looking for more high end, you're best bet is they brands website or Sephora.
Answer: It's not that the prices are particularly higher than anywhere else, it's that the products they sell are very high end and nowhere except like Marshall's etc has any of those brands for less. So I'd say yes they're all worth the money. Some brands are better than others depending on personal preference but they also have a rewards program that's free :)
Answer: If you're asking about Ulta's brand, you can only buy it at Ulta. Other items can be purchased through other retailers. However, you have to really dig to find anything cheaper than Ulta. Especially during a sale and with a coupon.

Answer: Many companies have this policy. Probably because they allow returns at their stores very easily. I usually just place a new correct order, and return the incorrect order. Sometimes if you call customer service, depending on the mistake, they can fix it for you.
