It is ashamed that Twitter censors and blocks certain tweets. In a democratic society people are entitled to be informed openly on public media and exchange ideas. For society to progress, openness, debate and critical thinking is imperative. The public deserve that their governments provide transparency and accountability for whatever it does. Been ordered to "do what I tell you" is myopic and totalitarian.
I was removed from twitter for calling Omar a whore which is clearly stated in my religion what she is. My rights are violated. The bible has 14 different verses that clearly states whore for marrying her brother which has been for eons and Ages prior to be exactly what I called her. Twitter is prejudice against Christians. I had called her a harlot prior that means whore stupid AI not catching the meaning argh disgusted with that chat prog. I stand firm on Peter's rock!
Just painful and annoying.
Haven't logged in to company account for 4-5 weeks and when logging in - my account has been suspended.
Great! Verify with a phone number
- enter company phone - not supported
- enter my mobile - already linked to another account (my personal account)
What the f*&k am I suppsed to do now?
FFS this website is run by f*&king buffoons...
I love you Twitter. The problem I have is that they do not have a way where you can check to see if your twitter account is permanently. It is ridiculous because I want all of my accounts deleted now. They need to provide email and contact number where we can talk to someone.
I am very very new to Twitter! Only been using it for a couple of weeks now so I'm new in the band wagon. Honestly, due to the negative things I had always heard about Twitter I was never interested in even giving it a chance.
But I gotta say that so far I'm rather enjoying quite a bit to my surprise. I still have a lot to learn about it but as far as what I know right now I would recommend twitter to others for sure!
If you want to be very quickly updated with the news from all over the world, that's a great place to be at. Business networking? Also the great place. When it comes to communication it isn't as pleasurable as in other social media sites but that's not so relevant.
Prejudice. And racism. Democratic. Conspiracy. Problems against. Republicans. Monitoring. There. Conversation s. Telling republicans what they can say and not say. This is America. Land of the free freedom of speech
I joined Twitter with my first account back in 2010 and at first, I didn't really get it. I actually left my first ever original account (I later gave it to someone else because a celebrity followed it & they were a huge fan) but later came back with a new one. I met all kinds of people from all around the world and we became internet friends. Eventually, I outgrew that account and made a 2nd account in 2013 and I've been on that one ever since. Twitter is great, I'm honestly glad I joined. It's way better than Facebook, imo, though they both have pros and cons. The only thing I wish was a thing they Twitter gave the users / allowed us to do is make our own layouts. It would be cool to personalize our profiles more. Other than that, I'm happy with the site.
I was blocked without explanation and, was advised during login that I would be allowed back in if I relinquished my celephone information.
I refused to do so and appealed my suspension only find out that my account had been identified as one of many supposedly "... automated spam Twitter accounts..." and although my account was unblocked, I resented being handled by a computer capable of making mistakes that happen to target me as a potential computer?
In August 2020 I will celebrate a year without twitter and I'm still looking for a social media with a human touch that resists the tendency to judge anyone that thinks outside the box as a threat.
May come back to twitter but...
Well, I don't regret that I registered at Twitter, it's funny, and it's even cool, and very fast and dynamic. But it steals SO much time!
And also there is slew of spam, which is very irritating. They should do something about it
Twitter is downright corrupt they falsely accuse people without proof without explanation without facts and their communication is far below level leave that corrupt-gang and make them poor if we people don't register anymore they are gone.
The number of words to be used is limited. This makes a user limited in their description of items one is advertising, this can bring about misleading statements. The platform can be toxic bringing about challenges in relation to mental health due to cyber bullying and fake accounts used to tear down individuals profiles.
Twitter accused me of "racism, sexism homophobia, inciting violence and abusive behaviour" & permanently suspended my account.
This ban was later lifted after Twitter's "further review" whereupon I received an apology & my account was unsuspended but then resuspended only a couple of hours later with a new allegation of me "managing multiple accounts for abusive purposes."
Trying to making any form of human communication with Twitter's so-called 'Help Centre' is impossible as all you receive as a reply is an automated notification stating that my account is permanently suspended.
After months of arguing withTwitter's stupidity I have now given up with the whole idea of using Twitter.
They seem to be randomly suspending people's account by the bucket load & falsely accusing them of various violations of "Twitter rules."
I'd call it madness at it's fineness!
Was permanently suspended from Twitter because I said someone looked like trailer trash and a whore with their makeup. I didn't call them a whore just a reference to one. Of late I have read the same words used to describe Stormy Daniels. They send me in exile for using profanity aren't we all grown ups. Does this hurt their wittle ears.
If they cheat a young Coast Guardsmen they'll cheat anyone.
Hyundai Veloster Turbo engines are defective and UNSAFE. Please don't fall prey as we did. Balise and Hyundai are well-aware of the mechanical failure/defective engineering issues but claim ignorance. Other manufacturer's at least admit there are problems putting high horse-power engines in tiny 4-cylinder cars. Read other reviews- the good ones are for routine maintenance or for when nothing goes wrong. The real test is when there's a problem, will they stand behind their products and warranties? They did not for us, despite the purchase of 2 cars in 1 year and consistent servicing of 3 cars all at Balise dealerships. Here's their standard line, "sorry you're our of warranty." Well, they could have made a better judgement call here, and they know it. I hope the Balise brothers and family take pride in knowing they screwed a young man with the purchase of his first ever car. Shame on you!
Twitter stinks and it's obviously biased towards libs, progressives and those who hate the USA. I was a rare user but even with the small amount of tweets, they suspended my account becuz my political posts were conservative. Hope they go bankrupt; they're not worth using.
It's disheartening to share my experience with Twitter (or X) where my account got suspended due to advocating for free speech regarding TD Bank's recent actions. Despite providing all the necessary information, I received no response or resolution. It's concerning that the platform seems to support those who spread hate and is willing to compromise its policies for business growth, especially in countries suppressing democratic values. While Elon Musk speaks in favor of free speech, the platform's actions contradict this sentiment. I've decided to deactivate my account as it's clear their core values don't align with mine. Unfortunately, technical issues prevent me from even deactivating the account. This situation makes me doubt these big companies' commitment to free speech, as their actions don't match their words.
Nov 30 - Suspended since November 7th without any explanation. 10th request! Please send reason so that I might appeal. How might I rectify the situation and get my account reinstated?
Other than making adolescents stressed, I am not sure what Twitter is useful for. It made more sense to me when I was in college and it was being used more informally. I had a Twitter for about a year, and decided it was not really worthwhile. My thoughts can't be confined by a limited number of characters, and I know that people don't care about what I have to post and I don't care about what they have to post.
I have reported numerous racial slurs directed at different people on Twitter. But apparently, as long as they are Russian, it's fine. You can laugh about assassination of Russian civilians, post pictures with racial slurs including one account posting a video with Russian POW of Asian descent and calling him "a future slave for West Ukraine", call them names using denigrating racial slurs quite like the n-word or any other slur, but as long as they are from Russia, it "doesn't violate their policies". What a pile of steaming you know what their moderators and their policies are!
A comparison of what happened over last few months: A response to my report of a Twit where a person was expressing their happiness over assassination of Darya Dugina and saying that "it will come for all of you" was that it doesn't violate their policies.
Meanwhile, my post calling someone stupid and dumbass was blocked "on the basis of race ethnicity, etc. - none of them applicable.
Answer: This is a common theme running through Twitter and Instagram. They unjustifiably are blocking accounts deliberately in order to obtain your personal data for financial gain. If you have nothing in which they can make money from, your account is automatically blocked and you will be waiting until sundawn, they will not respond. If enough people leave their platforms there will not be profits for them to make and would crash and burn.
Answer: I would recommend Twitter for the reasons you listed.
Twitter has a rating of 2 stars from 423 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Twitter most frequently mention free speech, social media and phone number. Twitter ranks 487th among Social Network sites.
