My daughter had the same experience as others who have posted - I signed her up for one week and everytime she tried to access a physics tutor (during evening hours EST), there was none available. Then they automatically renewed for one month ($200) when I tried to cancel on the last day. They are scam artists. She got absolutely nothing for $250. DO NOT USE THEM!

This website is ripping off people not only of their money but of childrens right to learn. I accepted a one time trial and I was taken for $99.99. They are thieves and by the way the tutors are not good either.

I went on their website because I found them through google. On their site it says to type in a question and they'll connect you to a tutor for free. I typed in the math problem and hit enter and a "tutor" came to chat with me. He told me that he would gladly help me with any problems but first he wanted to let me know about their packages. He went on a long winded speech about all their services and took down my number so he could schedule a call back. After doing that I asked if he could help me with my math problem like he initially stated and he said one moment, then he asked for my email which I gave him. After doing all that I asked again if he would help me with my math problem where he proceeded to say "Let me tell you this is a paid service, you will receive help after you've paid and started an account with us." Basically wasting an hour of my time. DO NOT USE THIS SITE, if anyone tells you otherwise they probably work for them.

They gave me a tutor for science and I needed help in math. I am very dissapointed with tutorvista.com I want to tell you guys that you SHOULD NOT sign up for tutorvista.com! A basic pre-algebra question they answered wrong! They were very certain they gave me the right answer... it was off by about $200!

I signed up for a one week trail. I made it clear to them that I wanted to try it only and that I would pay thru PayPal purposely so I would not be charged for subscriptions that I did not want. Of course I did not know that PayPal also can do automatic monthly subscriptions and of course TutorVista charged me $99.99 USD at the end of the one week trial. The agent on chat (oh, by the way, you can't call them as they are in INDIA, which I did not know) told me that I don't have to worry that I won't be charged without notifying. OH and I got notified but not if I want to renew but that I made a payment! After talking with the customer service over chat the very same morning my payment went thru I was basically told to go screw my self and that I can use the service for the next 30 days. The help my daughter got was a joke and the customer service was even a bigger joke. Don't ever use them as you won't get any help and not to mention your money back!
