My experience with Turkish Airlines turned into a harrowing ordeal. Thanks to the intervention of Wells Fargo, I finally received a refund for the original ticket. However, the silence from Turkish Airlines regarding their role in this chaos was disconcerting.

The cabin crew welcomed us with a smile and a welcome drink. We were very surprised because we did not expect this, but it was very nice. Inflight services were excellent. Everything was prepared in magnificent order.
We boarded one hour late without any explanation and we missed the connecting flight in Istanbul. We would have made it if we were accommodated by the Malaga flight crew but we were not allowed to move into business class before the landing just to be able to leave the plane first. We knew we were going to miss the flight but the flight attendants were trying to sell us the cart driving service instead of assisting us. We were given a hotel room but we were made to pay for visas although we had no desire of staying in Istanbul. We had no responsibility for missing the flight but we still had to pay for visas. The worst experience ever - this is my fifth time missing a flight with TA for the same reasons. I believe they do it on the purpose! Do not use TA if you have less than 3 hours in transfer - they will make sure you don't make it and then they will make sure to charge you for visas and everything else! I am definitely never choosing them again!

Watch out! You have "No" rights as a consumer with this company. If by any chance you have an incident with the flight, your Ticket, you luggage or their Service, be aware that they will never solve it and you will be unable to discuss it with anyone! You will waste tones of time and energy, receiving as feedback only standard sentences from their manuals.
You can not say you were not warned as other references mention the same. It is your choice of taking the risk by buying a ticket to this company. I will definetly not do it again.
Had a 36 hours flight from hell. Originated from Tehran the plane was delayed 2/5 hours. In Istanbul Missed my connection flight to london by 5 mins. (By same airline). They put me on a flight for 4 hours later and a McDonald voucher. But that flight was canceled however, they refused to give me a hotel until 7 pm! After so much fights and arguments with staff! They gave me a hotel only until 4 am next day. (Few hours in the hotel) they picked me up 5 hours early for the next day flight at 9 am! I could not understand why? Probably trying to cut corners and save money. Staff were rude snd absolutley vile all the way through. No compassion whatsoever. Treated me like im nothing! Shouting at me. Ignoring me! So basically, i started my journey 12 midnight and reach london 36 hours later.
I called twice. First moments after booking and realising I selected the wrong day (this was actually because the website kept kicking me back to the beginning of the process when I took longer than 5 seconds to find things like my wifes passport number... by the 5th time I was rushing to do it so fast I selected the same flight for the wrong date). Second time they rescheduled my flight to a super inconvenient time, destroying a planned 24 hour layover in istanbul and reducing it to just enough time to get into the city and back. Both times I was met by incredible rudeness. Sighing and absolutely no desire to help. When the first gentleman asked me if I wanted to pay £150 to change the flight, I asked a follow up question and was interrupted with 'Do you want it or not?!'. Second woman was more amicable but also had a very bad attitude and ultimately couldnt or wouldn't help reschedule the second leg of the trip to maintain my previously planned layover.
To use our credit to book a ticket. Called the customer service to use our credit to book a ticket and spoke to two different people who couldn't help us. They are so rude and unprofessional. I will never travel with them again and I suggest you stay away from this airline.
I have a negative experience with them. My friend from Turkey wanted to change his flight and they allowed him to do this. He can not paid cash, so i give him my credit card. Turkish airlines charged not only for this flight, but also penalty for changing day flight, witch was not mentioned by them.
Second negative experience is Miles&Smiles business offer. It just don't work with cheap flights, you can collect miles only if you buy expensive flights. And this info you will not find in information brochure! I am disappointed, i spent a lot of time to create Miles&Smiles account and so on.
Service is nice, so i still give Turkish Airlines 3 stars.
This is the best airline I have used since I've been travelling, the interior of their airplane is perfect, the cabin crew are cheerful and helpful, and above all this you get free interment for a while which gives you access to the world even when you're on the air

I went to the ticket office at Manila airport and tried to change my flight home. I was told that "they did not talk to customers" in that office and that I would need to email them. She gave me a tiny slip of paper with contact details on. She also told me that all flights from Manila were fully booked that week without even looking at the computer to check.
I complained to the CEO of Turkish airlines and heard nothing. Not even an "autoresponse". It was booked through lastminute who have an even worse reputation
Trying to obtain a refund for a connecting flight they cancelled that left me stranded at an airport. TA is refusing to refund me. They claim that I authorised the cancellation.
Had to spend the night sitting in the cold airport in Paris as no one from TA was present.
Then I had to pay for a ticket to get myself to my final destination.
The airline is claiming that I authorised this cancellation, which is ridiculous. The distance between Paris and Toulouse (my final return destination) is nearly 700 km – not a distance anyone would choose to walk, dragging their luggage behind them.
Moreover, had I done so, they would have HAD to offer a voucher or air miles. They didn't.
I have written at least ten emails to their customer service. Their replies have been negative and unhelpful.
I have since joined a class action group in order to try to recover the cost of my national ticket.
I will never fly with this airline again

My friend bought a ticket and he was changing his airplane at istambul, then the nightmare started, they simply dropped him off from the airplane in front of the gate at boarding. Reason? "your return ticket was NOT purchased through stupid turkish airlines" REALLY?! Seriously it is your business to check which airlines I am using to go back? Shame on you stinky airlines! You have no respect to anyone, all you guys want is money, greed will kill you. I wish you hell and rot in inflation with bankruptcy. If you respect yourself please, stay away from this terrible airlines
Horrible customer service, not interested in solving problems. Our first outbound flights was canceled, they kept saying cancellation not in their system, refused to change reservation and don't refund the money. Stay away from them, not worth it. They just keep lying and their representatives can never do anything, just tell you they will send an email...
The Turkish airline plane we took from JFK to Istanbul was old and not maintained. Many of the televisions kept freezing or didn't work at all, which makes the long trip more miserable. We couldn't communicate with the flight attendants because non of them knew how to speak English, and acted very rude. Seats were too tight, and uncomfortable for a 10 hour International flight.
I believe that above conditions, are not acceptable for even a short flight especially a long international flight.
Booked a business class flight Manila to Vienna, they cancelled within 12 hours but still took my payment. They said I will have to wait up to 60 days for a refund. Check flight radar 24 first to see if the flight is flying before booking. After it was cancelled it was still possible to book the same flight on line. SCAMMERS.
I cannot believe that in this century, 3 months prior to a booked ticket, I contacted you to help me with my problems which are normal these days: you buy tickets for your honey moon couple of months in advance, and for medical reasons you cannot travel anymore, Turkish Airlines is refusing to help a young couple by reimbursing the money or offering other options! I will post this problem together with your official answers everywhere online! It is a misery! And of course I will start official complains to the European Authorities! Next time I will fly with different companies!
If by any chance you have an incident with the flight, your ticket, your luggage, their website that works really bad or their service, they will just ignore you asking to raised feedback questionaries that are responded with an automated standard response and you will not be able to discuss or resolve the issue with any one.
STAY AWAY OF THIS COMPANY! EVEN IF YOU SEE A CHEAP PRICE!
I bought a flight in their website and in the email confirmation I got different departure and destiny of what I had booked. I wasted 2 weeks in calls, messages... without any response beyond: "I am ot authorised you have to raise a feedback ticked" or "Your ticked is closed you have to raise another one if you are not happy".
It has been the worth consumer experience I had in my life, and I have already an age.
Stay away from this airline, they're clearly crooks. Just before boarding our 2nd flight to Rome at the Istanbul airport, we discovered my passport and boarding pass was missing. We immediately informed the TK gate crew, who directed me to the police but offered no other help. I sought help from the TK staff throughout the two hours it took to finally locate the passport, and yet when we went through the process of getting on another flight, they insisted that they were going to penalize us as a "no-show", as well as charging us the cost difference for the new flight, and that we couldn't even shop elsewhere, as they would cancel our return flight if we didn't pay for the ticket for the Istanbul-Rome leg. The charges were an additional $1000 for both tickets. Then, later on I discovered they had actually charged me $1650! When I 've contacted customer service they have insisted that is the proper charge, without providing a receipt. I'm disputing with my credit card company, we'll see what happens.
Well I used Turkish Airlines to board from Uganda to Turkey recently. The first thing I noticed was the flight attendants. They we're all nice and Jolly. They make you feel kinda important and they listen to all your requests however disturbing. What I didn't like though was their coffee and Burger... The coffee was too strong and the burger. Well the bread was too dry. Maybe I got even more frustrated when I didn't get my miles. But oh well the rest was on point.
Answer: I have flown two times, once from Turkey to the US and once from the US back to Turkey. Both times they messed up my flight, one time by delaying so much that I missed my flight, the other by telling me that my flight was 90minutes later than it really was! So now I do class Turkish Airlines as a scam. They also promised some compensation money (for the missing my flight) but they never paid it! So the Turkish Airlines website tends to tell lies! Is that a scam? Well, you must decide. I will never fly with Turkish Airlines again, of course
