I've took weeks to search for a beautiful hotel to koh samui for my 25th wedding anniversary. I've selected The privilege hotel happily waiting for the day to experience a great hotel stay. To my disappointment I got cancelled automatically with reason due to accommodation full. I contacted trip.com to ask what's happening, is my first encounter after years of supporting trip.com.
They said is a one off incident and said no choice I got to spend double to get the second choice of another hotel. Just take it as pure bad luck. How I didn't expect a call at night from Taha who followed up on my case and told me the great news abt trip willing to compensate my cost. Giving me the detail of various options for compensation. He has been very clear and talked to me patiently. Very impressed by trip team, including the duty mgr, Iki putra. He helped to give me option hotels for consideration which is so kind of him. I cancelled my booking which is two months prior but hotel policy cancattion deducted some amount which i did not agree since two months before my stay and it is not mentioned clearly and transparent while i was booked. Howard duty manager resolved this issue promptly and in a professional way, now only waiting to see my money back to my bank account. So only after will be completely satisfied. Just recommendation to highlighted a such information in a bold type any big amount deduction if cancellation prior two months, do not hide better make it transparent

I was scammed by this platform. They initially refused to give me the coins I earned. Only after filing official complaints did they contact me and return the coins. However, they refused to compensate me for the psychological distress I suffered because of them. I strongly advise everyone not to deal with this very unprofessional platform that does not value its customers and attempts to deceive them

I fully paid for the tickets to fly with Pegasus Airline with the service Trip.com. An extra luggage, insurance, everything. I expected to have a real tickets as usual with any other searching-buying searvice. Trip.com sent me a confirm email and some handmade PDF about booking. Also, they trying to prove what they have my tickets with some screenshots of the airline website. But it's not the tickets. I can't rely on some random PDF to plan my vacation, to book hotels, rent a car, buy another fly. All I have to do is wait and believe, what this is not a scam. Is it? When I try to check the tickets on the airline website with PNR which Trip.com prioved me within their PDF, the website of Pegasus send my verification code to some kind of third-party email, not mine. Well, if I don't have the tickets I paid for, why isn't it a possible scam eventially? I don't have any prove of my tickets except of their own PDF. I never heard about this agency, so it defenitelly looks a lot like a scam for me! Now I don't have money and I don't have my tickets. I can't plan anything relying on random PDF, not a tickets from the airline company. Trip.com does not provide me any solution how can I get the tickets (with extra pay or somehow), and do not refund me. You pay and get a picture of tickets, but not the tickets. It's you to decide if you don't care will you fly or have a potential problem at the desk on airport. If I knew this gonna happen, I would never use Trip.com. Do you want a stress like I have now or do you want your tickets for the money you paid?

I'm deeply disappointed with Trip.com. I booked a ticket (Booking Ref: 5N3O26) for my elderly relative, and due to official travel warnings issued by the Russian government against traveling to Israel and Azerbaijan, we had to cancel. AZAL (the airline) confirmed they are ready to refund the ticket — but only through Trip.com. Despite this, Trip.com refuses to act. Their support has wasted a week of my time, passing me from one agent to another, promising help, then doing absolutely nothing. I've sent them all possible proofs — booking, payment, screenshots — and they STILL claimed I didn't buy it through them (!). They refused to provide a case number or explain who is responsible. It feels like they are trying to delay the process until the flight departs (July 16), to block any refund. I've already turned to my bank and public complaint platforms. Avoid Trip.com if you value your time and money.

Trip.com is nothing but a fraudulent, money-grabbing scam! I booked a Dhaka to Doha ticket and was denied boarding because of a hidden transit visa requirement they never clearly mentioned. I lost ₹25,000 instantly!
Then, for my March 12 ticket (₹50,000), they are refunding less than ₹20,000, even though the airline is offering more. Trip.com blocks customers from canceling or rescheduling with the airline directly, just so they can steal massive cancellation fees!
Their "self-transfer" system is a TRAP—designed to confuse travelers and make them lose money. Customer support? USELESS. They keep repeating scripted nonsense and refuse to help.
Trip.com is not a travel agency—it's a scam operation. They sell tickets with hidden conditions, make cancellations impossible, and rob you blind with their refund policies.
DO NOT BOOK WITH TRIP.COM! Avoid them like the plague or be ready to burn your money.

"Second worst experience with Trip.com. Their customer service is comparable to a bus station at the edge of a remote terminal. They canceled my flight once in 2017 at the last moment, putting me in a very difficult situation, and now they've done it again. They canceled my flight; I requested a reschedule, they rescheduled it, and then they rejected the reschedule. I asked for a refund, and they said it would take 15 days! My recommendation: travel by boat if you must, but don't book with Trip.com."

So, got a round ticket to Moldova form the Philippines, trough Singapore and Frankfurt, the ticket's price was 74,404.00 pesos. Payed extra to get the full refund and everything. Got to Singapore they didn't let me fly to Frankfurt they apparently didn't like the visa, couldn't see black and white.
Asking for a refund, and the refund is 6,596.00

Never again will I use trip.com for anything. Period. My non-cancellation booking through them cost $35.33 MORE than if I had booked it through the hotel website. The "price match guarantee" is NOT a guarantee, but you won't know that initially because you have to go down a rabbit hole to find its very narrow and restrictive terms - which no average person will do until or unless there is an issue. When you do navigate the maze and you eventually find the details, you see that you will never be refunded any difference in what you've paid money for. Instead of getting the difference refunded, should it fall through the cracks of the narrow guidelines, they will give you site restrictive, imaginary "coins" which each are only a small fractional amount of the wasted dollars you would still have by directly booking with the hotel yourself and can only be used on trip.con. I highly recommend scrolling right past trip.con to avoid the fake savings and immense frustration unless you are in an economic class that enables you to literally flush money down the toilet just because you can.

Terrible experience with Trip.com
I booked a flight from SGN (Vietnam) to YYC (Calgary).
When I arrive Vancouver (YVR), they book me a flight in a different airport which is 70km away and expect to self-transfer there which make no sense, and they don't admit it is their system issue.
I used to book flights with Trip.com, paid more than 3,500$ to this point, but I will never travel with them again going forward.

I had a deeply frustrating experience with Trip.com regarding a flight cancellation. Due to a last-minute cancellation (which was not my fault), I had to call their customer service multiple times to reschedule and later cancel my flight.
What they failed to inform me was that these calls would result in a massive €111.40 phone bill! At no point did the agent warn me that I would be charged for the calls, despite them knowing I was making and receiving multiple calls due to their service issues.
When I raised this with them, their response was dismissive. They blamed me for not knowing about my phone plan instead of acknowledging that their agent failed to disclose this important information. Their compensation offer of 20 USD in "Trip Coins" (store credit) is nowhere near a fair resolution.
This experience has completely eroded my trust in Trip.com. Instead of taking responsibility for their poor communication, they keep pushing blame onto the customer. Be warned: if you have any issues with your booking, you may be left with unexpected costs and no proper support!
I will never use Trip.com again and would strongly advise others to think twice before booking with them. If you value transparency and customer support, look elsewhere!

Appalling service, I booked the flight through this company from iguazu to Buenos Aires, they gave us 2 connective flights. Now with only short time left they sent me an email stating the flight has been changed for one passenger for first leg. That makes us impossible to use the flight as the gap between two flights makes impossible to get to second lev for one passenger. When I try to cancel my flight, they statd there is no even refund for the flight. Total scam and rip off. Looking for another flight it will cost us a fortune. Answer: Do not book with them. If anything happens and you need to modify your booking they will not help you. They have canceled people's bookings at the last minute as well. This company is all about the money. Once they have your payment they are done with you. DO NOT book travel arrangements with them. Read the reviews and I'm speaking from experience. The price is good but if anything happens they will take your money and will not help you.
