At the beginning, I got an email from TravelUp with a confirmation code. Later, I realized that the code is for TravelUp rather than airlines. I got a code for airline one day later after sending a request email to TravelUp (tried to reach by call but failed). I suggest that TravelUp send a confirmation code for airlines rather than TravelUp to its customers. Also, provide online chatting service.

Travelup are nothing short of scammers! Do not use them! Read any of the reviews being posted and you will see that they both keep refunded money and also if you get flights cheaply will then start to up the costs until you are worse of. If anything should go wrong like it is now with Covid-19 and you have a cancelled holiday, you will either not get a refund at all, or just a tiny proportion of it to shut you up all of this will take months and months. You will see if you go on any review sites particularly at the moment as holidays are being cancelled no one is picking up the phone, they cut you off, they steal your refund from you! The best thing to come out of the coronavirus crisis is that these scammers go bankrupt!

I bought a $2000 ticket through TravelUp and when an agent at the Israeli airport wouldn't let me board the plane because he was confused about which documents i needed to board TravelUp wouldn't help me. The airline made it clear that I had to go through TravelUp since they are who I bought the ticket from, but when I called them (while I was stuck in the Israeli airport) the kept saying they would have it resolved in "3-4 hours." Two days later they said, nevermind, we cant help you. I had to pay another $2000 to get out of there.

We booked a flight from Switzerland to London last May for our family of 6. The flight was booked through Travelup but was with British Airways and was to happen in August. In July, British Airways canceled the flight. We didn't rebook but instead went with a flight through a different airline. However, we have yet to receive our refund, which is over $500. I contacted Travelup several times and they always say it's British Airways fault. However, when I call BA, they say that Travelup hasn't yet requested a refund from them. Last I heard, Travelup said that they requested a refund on Jan. 17 and that it could take up to 12 weeks to process. We still have heard and received nothing. Feels pretty fraudulent to me and I would recommend avoiding!

We completely disagree with your statement. As in any event of your flight cancellation, the last minute aircraft change, abrupt offloading of passenger or baggage, uninformed long and short stop overs, abrupt flight rescheduling, sudden route diversion, terminal change, technical snarls, service termination, denied boarding, lack of special assistance requested, unruly behavior of flight attendants, delay in flight operation, unexpected rudeness of crew members are all subject to be addressed and attended by the airline directly as such instances are all under the complete discretion of the designated airline.

We are not the primary point of contact for such concerns or the refund since the airline decides the termination of their operation due to safety related issues at times.

Unresponsive
May 13, 2020

I was unable to travel to visit my daughter in Rio due to Covid 19. I booked my flight with travel up via BA for March 24th. Before the lockdown Travel up tried to sell me extras that I didn't need, now when I need a refund of my flight they have not responded to any emails, calls. What company thinks it is good practice to ignore customers during this difficult time?

I was asked to pay a deposit of $30 and 20 minutes later the full amount came out of my account. Then when I tried to contact customer service, there wasn't any. Then I realized the dates did not match up of my purchase. Please refund the full amount to my account.

I made a booking with the site the day before I got an email from someone who said she got
My email address and more details when she made a booking to a totally different hotel from
Me. I don't know how she would have got my email address a day after I made a booking but it definitely has left me thinking I made a mistake going through here and laying down a deposit especially when she made it seem like she got more than just my email address details.

Worst experience ever
July 25, 2021

We booked through travel up and paid then the hotel we booked called to tell us they cancelled the paid reservation because the rate is not applicable to us now. Thats 3 days before the travel date. We sent travel up and they are not replying. Not refunding our money nor confirming our reservation. They are a fraud. DONT DEAL WITH THEM

The space to input my credit card number did not appear the first time that I filled out my information, so I had to hit the back button to re-enter all of my information. In that amount of time, the price increased. Also, the room I selected indicated that I could cancel, but there's a $25 fee for canceling, even the next day. I guess I need to do a better job of reading the fine print.

Don't ever use this company, they take your deposit then send you links to pay the balance to some foreign speakers in another country, I have today reported this company, stay well clear of this RIP of company, see enclosed screenshot

I'd say my experience was quite simple to book a stay. However, what I was frustrated about was the fact that I wasn't able to read "the fine print" before I submitted my payment. I wanted to review what the room I was paying for consisted of in the breakdown.

What a bunch of crooks. No contact for 2 months, they left me stranded in the Philippines. No help at all. No way to contact them - phone lines closed, no emails answered and all messages blocked since 17th March (& still blocked) on facebook - which was the only contact with them until then. They have now changed their terms & conditions so they can try to steal another £50 'contribution' cost from all their unlucky customers.
Search for ' TravelUp COVID Response ' group on facebook - nearly 2400 unhappy customers!

We were looking through various sites to find the best prices for the nicest resorts for our Mexico trip. Almost every site we looked at TravelIp was always one that had the best prices or near best. It wasn't hard to pick their package. The hardest part was trying to get six couples to agree where to stay

DO NOT EVER USE TRAVELUP!
They are very quick in taking your money but god behold anything goes wrong, you will be left stranded wherever you are. Like we did, in Hong Kong and that was before the whole covid pandemic really hit off. Impossible to reach customer service and if you do, they are useless, no support whatsoever in rebooking. Had to book a new flight ourselves. Since then no refund or any update on where my refunds at, impossible to reach anyone, phone lines turned off. Apparently even changed their T&Cs in the meantime to add horrendous services charges for refunds. Liars, cheaters and thieves!

Paid for a room for a hotel which is not even open, yet my payment was taken. Only found out the hotel was closed when I called to confirm check-in time. This company failed to inform me the hotel was closed, which means I could have made a wasted 6 hr journey. ‘Customer service' kept interrupting when I called and claimed I hadn't responded to an email offering a partial refund, to which I did respond. The email states that I have to claim the rest via travel insurance and that as a company they are experiencing hard times due to the pandemic?!? Managers are never available after having made 6 calls. This company lies and steals from customers and I urge anyone that is thinking of booking with this company to book elsewhere. Staff are incompetent, rude and make every attempt to fob you off with rubbish explanations. Shocked this company is allowed to operate. One star given as I cannot submit a review with zero. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

I am very unhappy with your service. I made a mistake with my dates. I called immediately after I sent the booking and was told to write an email and that I couldn't be helped over the phone. I sent an email explaining my error and the dates that were correct. I received an email from you saying sorry, we will not change the dates and that I am responsible for the payment even though I could not use your service. Despicable!

Unfortunately, you have booked a non refundable room rate as explained in the emails. This means we are not able to retrieve your funds from the supplier to refund you as much as we would like to. Please be careful when booking non refundable rates as many many hotels and suppliers to have these rates for cheaper prices.

Double charged my bank account!
April 30, 2022

I booked a hotel last March 24th, 2022 and they charged my account twice. I emailed them right away and they said that they have processed the refund already. On March 30th I emailed them again since it's been a week and I haven't received the refund. Today, they said they'll contact the processing department and advised me to wait. It's frustrating because it doesn't take a week to credit back my bank account.

Great site!

We booked a hotel in Detroit and due to covid we couldn't get across the border as we had planned for our vacation. We had booked with no refund at the time - I messaged and asked if they thought we could get any kind of refund due to the circumstances. They reached out to the property and we got some money refunded.
I would definitely book the them again they went above and beyond. Exceptional customer service.
