After having my resume reviewed gratis, I realized I was underselling myself by reading more like a doer than an achiever, I decided to go with TopResume's executive package. My writer, Mark, was deeply insightful and helped me "alchemize" my resume and LinkedIn. I also love my cover and thank you letters. This process have given me newfound confidence and I cannot wait to see what doors open for me! I also have a mock interview set up to make sure I present myself as polished as possible. I am okay with the overall look & feel of the new resume but not completely satisfied. In creative marketing, I wanted a clean look. However, the content of my resume is definitely more professional when it is rewritten.
It is too soon for me to evaluate if the new resume (& the cover letter) grabs the attention of recruiters as I just got it done over the holidays. I hope so.
I have recommended the service to a couple of friends already who have hired the service!

The resume writers did a good job. They did make a couple of mistakes and I did have an issue which caused a switch to a second writer. The first writer asked me three times what time zone I was in. She appeared to not be paying attention to my answer. She knew where I lived, and that I was not traveling, yet she kept asking me what time zone I was in. It was frustrating, and when I expressed this frustration, she was upset and requested to be taken off the assignment, so I was given another writer. The second writer was very nice and I had no issues with her. The first writer also ignored a key line in my cover letter that I wanted her to use. The second writer used this line without reservation. If I had been assigned the second writer from the beginning, I'd give a 5 star rating.

I submitted my resume for their free critique. Their suggestions seemed appropriate. I paid for their premium service. I didn't get the two-day turn-around I was promised; I got excuses. The first draft was horrible. In fact, the first draft didn't reflect any of the suggestions from their own critique! The writer promised an immediate response which didn't happen. I had to prod to get a response. Their results seemed rushed and never seemed to incorporate any of the suggestions in their initial critique. Again, more excuses. The Linkedin profile they wrote seemed to be generated by software and, was extremely elementary. I provided them with very detailed feedback, was once again promised "better results" and waited, once again. After two weeks, without a response, and well beyond the writer's commitment date, I requested a full and immediate refund. To their credit, my money was refunded. I would not recommend this service to anyone. I would pay more for a much better result.

My current resume is complicated because I'm 63 years old and into my 3rd career. I received a quick response with the first draft that simplified my resume. I asked questions about the logic of what was presented and the answers were logical and sensible. It was great for me to get the insight of someone with current knowledge and great writing skills.

Just received my first draft from their "professional resume writer". What a disappointment! I am not sure if they are having high school kids or someone just out of college try to write these but this was the worst resume and worst cover letter that I have ever seen. They have no clue what is important and the extremely brief questionnaire fails to capture relevant information. I ask for a refund but they apparently don't give refunds. Now I know why! They are handing me off to another writer so we'll see what happens. I really don't know how they think they can write a resume for someone without speaking to them and understanding what their needs are. I feel like I have been scammed and completely wasted my money. I will update this after I see what the 2nd writer does with my resume.

I am very impressed with the magic that was performed on my resume by TopResume! I was struggling to keep my resume in an easy-to-read format and how to highlight key qualitifications but TopResume turned my convoluted resume into pure resume gold. The process only took about two and a half days. My rep was very friendly and very easy to work with. She was very responsive to my messages and incorporated all the features and edits that I requested. I would highly recommend TopResume!

This is sham! They take your money and while commissioning them they don't monition the timeline - 10 damn days to get the most basic and mediocre level of work you would not even think of getting from someone who claims to be professional. After amendments the so called professional writer does not even reply, then after repeated follow ups gave a deadline - after his promised deadline - I get an email that the writer is not clear on my deadlines.
DON'T waste your money and time like I did...

TopResume is a total scam. I submitted my money an resume in good faith and received nothing in return. I have sent several email corespondent and I am still without my money or product. If you doubt me I will happily send you the email chain to provide proof.
