Very pleased with the experience and the deliverable. I needed an outside perspective because you tend to fall in love with what you have accomplished- so getting fresh eyes and professional feedback was spot on necessary.
I realize now that I should have used somebody local. I didn't feel as though I was getting a reasonable rate of phone interviews (3 for the last 19) of the resumes that I had written myself and sent. Contacted TopResume.com, paid extra for top 10% of their writers and also paid extra for a phone call. Total cost close to $500. I sent the "Writer" my current resume because she wanted to see it. I got her first draft around a week later and it was my EXACT resume, just re-formatted (different font/larger print) and that was it. Thank goodness we had a phone call so I could let her know how disappointed I was. My final revision from her did have a some changes thanks to our phone chat. Well, currently 0 for 11 on the current TopResume product. I am going back to my old resume that I had written with a few modifications from pointers gotten from a resume website. I cannot imagine a worse experience.
I can't say enough good things about TopResume! Dominique A., my resume writer was fantastic! Using the information I provided in the initial questionnaire when I signed up, plus a few followup questions via email, Dominique was able to transform my resume from a boring, long, passive-voice listing of my work experience to a much more polished, dynamic, active-voice description of my skills and how I've applied them in my previous work to get real, tangible results. I feel much more confident to be submitting this resume. I can't wait to see how it will improve my job seeking experience. I tried to re-write my resume twice but it didn't connect well what I wanted to convey to the employers and I feel it was very dated. Therefore, I decided to engage TopResume. My writer did a pretty decent work in re-formatting, re-wording and organizing salient points in my resume in such a way that it looks more professional. She was also very particular that we remain in our time frame to revise and finalize the resume. Worst company I have ever done business with. Do not hire them. You will absolutely 100% regret it. I purchased their top resume review service and paid 244.00 plus a 50.00 for a phone call. Immediately after my purchase, I tried to cancel the service because of the bad reviews I read online, and they did not respond to my email. They continued to ignore my emails asking to please cancel my request. They assigned a writer to my resume a week later. I asked, again and again, to please cancel, and they continued. My worst fear came true. They delivered a resume that was much worse than the one I submitted. I tried to dispute the charge. They finally agreed in writing to give me a refund minus a 75-dollar processing fee! However, the refund never came through. I filed a complaint with my credit card company. This company is a fraud.

The final work was very well written (resume and cover letter) but they gave me little time to review it.
The writer only sent me one draft because she got sick besides I told her that I could wait the time she needed.
Also I discovered that the cover letter draft was used on at least 3 other profiles. I commented that to the writer and she argued that she didn't know nothing about that because another person was in charge of the cover letters. She wrote another one which I think is unique for my profile.
The LinkedIn profile content is almost the same as the resume.
I suggest more communication and time with clients so we could finally get completely satisfied with the job done.

I was very happy with the changes to my resume but there were certain parts, such as my summary, that seemed extremely generic. Parts of my cover letter also seem generic. And my LinkedIn makeover feels like it has too much text on it.

I have tried two writers for my resume and none of them were Project Manager Resume writer experts. They keep asking me the same questions and Customer Service just doesn't care at all about my complaints, they just keep offering you to change for another inexperienced writer. I paid for one of the most expensive packages and I did not get any good value from this service. I request my money back but they did just a partial refund even though I keep complaining about their bad service.
Was able to get a quality federal resume written by a top notch professional that was able to convert all my military experience, training, evaluations and awards into terms that makes it easier for non-navy/military hiring officials can see and understand. Would recommend again!
TopResume were fast and efficient, and produced a beautiful, professional-looking resume using the old one I sent them, plus my answers to a series of questions. They used that info to match me with a writer in my field, and she created a resume in Word that I can edit and adapt as I proceed with my job search. They did a good, effective job and what I paid them was well worth it.

I like the way my CV has turned out - from 5-pages CV to 2-pages (content is direct and well presented). As much as I want to put all my job accomplishments, the explanation given by Chelsea B. Makes sense.
