I had a great experience with top resume. My resume was turned into a visually appealing, easy to read product that I used immediately. It and my cover letter told a story about how I am. It had not before. Honestly, in addition to the quality of the work, reading about my experience through someone else's eyes was a big confidence booster! I needed that to jump back into my job search.
My resume was created by a professional several years ago but I found that the format was outdated. After getting my initial drafts from TopResume, I had to send it back a few times for typos, grammar, work history content, and the misspelling for one of my previous employers (YIKES!). The rep was eager to work with me and apologized for the re-writes. She ended up with a quality resume that has been noticed and downloaded by prospective employers and recruiters. I ended up with a good, usable final product; however, I was switched to 3 different writers. Since the time limit for changes is 7 days, I asked for more time to make revisions and was told I could have more time, but then one day received an email message from the writer that my product was complete. I found the method of communication between myself and the writer not as efficient as I would have liked.
I recently decided to update my resume and decided that the resume I created years ago was tired-looking, visually unappealing, and too long (2 pages).
