I got an offer for a free resume evaluation from one of the job search websites (Indeed?) and thought I'd give it a try. I received the evaluation from TopResume the next day. I thought the evaluation was bang-on! My resume was crowded and not visually pleasing. Admittedly I had used the same format for more than a decade, simply just adding items to it. But TopResume also evaluated it for how it would be processed by the candidate scanning/screening software used by many employers. Based on the evaluation and the reasonable price of the re-write I decided to go ahead. The writer did a great job. The end product was shorter, cleaner, and more effective. She taught me the resume has to be written for the screening software, the HR person reviewing it, and the hiring manager. I feel the language was a little "flowery", but she explained that using different adjectives helps get the resume to the next step in the process. It's true, I have gotten more hits and views with my new resume. Only complaint is I didn't know there was a 7 day time limit (maybe I didn't read the fine print). But TopResume extended the time limit by a few days and the 3rd revision was great.

I had thought about using a resume service for some time, and finally settled on TopResume because Monster.com offered a free resume critic through them. I liked the feed back provided and within a week or so, TopResume was offering a discount so I went for it. My resume format had not been changed sin 2001, so it was time! I received my new resume within 3 days, and you get 7 more days to as for 2 revisions.

My only complaint is I did not get my first revision until AFTER the 7 days was over. I didn't have much more to change, and since they give you the resume in an editable format that was ok. But I feel they should have gotten my first revision to me sooner.

All in all, I am happy with the over all product.

I loved working with this company! Amazing work, and they get it just right. Since then I have received many job interviews and hopefully some job offers in the future. A massive thanks goes out to them for doing a brilliant job and treating their customers so well!

The Resume Critique and Writing service was great from the time I requested the service through delivery. I purchased the package with Resume, Cover Letter and LinkedIn profile included, and couldn't be happier. The technical writer was prompt with delivery of the draft and subsequent revisions, and achieved something I couldn't do in getting my resume down to 2-pages. Highly recommended for those searching for their next opportunity.

At first I was assigned someone who is not familiar with my career field of advertising creative professional. I contacted my rep and she immediately arranged for customer service to assign me a new writer. My new writer was not only familiar with my industry, but she rewrote my resume in a way that I felt made it much stronger. I will recommend TopResume to everyone whom I mentor when they are trying to rewrite their CV.

If you do a little math, you pay approximately $130 and you get 7 working days with your writer. If the writer is dedicated only to you then you would expect the writer to earn much less than $500 a month, which is IMPOSSIBLE. So I should say I got what I paid for.

My writer worked fast and was responsive. Though at first she didn't understand the career path I wanted to enter and provided something totally deviant in the first draft, she was able to quickly learn and submit a revision.

However, I am very disappointed in her carelessness. I understand writers cannot devote time researching or understanding my needs but at least, I don't expect any spelling or formatting errors or incorrect info in my resume. Not a pretty resume? I am okay with it; Didn't capture what I requested? I am okay with it; But you didn't bother making formatting consistent? I don't know.

I received a first draft of a resume late on day 7 of submitting my resume only after contacting customer service and "Katie Warren" to let them know I had received no contact from a writer. I suggested changes for the second draft. I received the 2nd draft very quickly, but it had typos and not all of my changes were addressed. It just seemed thrown together. If I had it to do over, I would have done more research and probably would have chosen a professional local resume writer with a good reputation.
