TopResume

TopResume has partnered with HighEd Jobs so I thought they might have a clue of what universities are looking for in a Curriculum Vitae. It is written great for business and industry and the person I worked with was responsive to changes but I was not able to communicate my need in a way she could incorporate it.

My old CV which is a mess is getting more replies than the one I paid for! Not worth the time, money and effort if you are looking for a true higher education CV. I imagine it would be great if I were applying for business and industry jobs.

They also offer a 60-day interview guarantee... ROTFL nothing happens in 60 days with Higher Ed.

I constantly received the feedback that the CV I spent time updating was not in the approved 'format'. This evidently meant I couldn't receive spelling and grammar feedback.

So beware, they will update your CV to their 'approved' version but will NOT provide grammar or spelling feedback on what you write in different versions. I'm left with an updated format CV that I'm not confident sending because the content hasn't been vetted - not helpful...

As a dissatisfied customer, I feel compelled to share my recent experience with TopResume. I engaged their services with high hopes of receiving a professional resume tailored to my needs. Unfortunately, what I received was far below even the most basic standards of quality.

Despite my attempts to address the issue, including discussions about assigning a new writer and offering refunds of 15% and 50%, the problem remains unresolved. No new writer was assigned, and the prolonged delay in resolving the matter has been utterly unacceptable.

What's more, the significant gaps between correspondence only reinforced my belief that the individual handling my case failed to understand the importance and urgency of the matter.

After careful consideration, I have requested a 50% refund, as previously offered, and have decided to terminate my account with TopResume. While I appreciate their attempts to rectify the situation, the extended delay and lack of a satisfactory resolution have left me with no other choice.

Overall, my experience with TopResume has been extremely disappointing. I urge others to consider these shortcomings before engaging in their services.

There were a lot of grammatical errors and sentence structures that didn't make any sense in my first draft that I had to point out to the writer. It seemed like the writer rushed through writing it and just threw stuff together that wasn't appropriate for the sentences. There were random numbers and things I didn't do that were listed on the resume which I also had to point out. I was really disappointed since I paid for a professional service and I will have to spend a lot of time editing it. The first draft edit I had a few days to respond, but the second edit I received at the end of the day on 11/7 and only had until 11/8 to respond. I didn't really think that was fair. I honestly wouldn't use your services again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else.

A while ago I decided to hire Topresume to rewrite my resume since my previous resume wasn't getting the results I wanted. Story short, recruiters weren't looking at my previous resume, job applications were going into limbo, and my self esteem was taking a hit. After my resume being posted in jobs sites for over a couple of days, over 27 recruiters had looked at my resume, and 4of them have contacted me regarding interviews. I even had a recruiter contacting me for a position that was out of my reach.

I have never disputed a credit card charge before this, but they are straight up committing fraud. Don't do business with them. Better to get like 5 rewrites from people on Upwork for these prices, and at least Upworkers deliver.

My experience with TopResume started out slow but ended with a great experience. The website says you should get your first draft within 5-7 business days but I did not receive my first draft until almost two weeks after I submitted all my materials. After I received my first draft, the process escalated quickly. My resume writer did an EXCELLENT job on my resume and cover letter. I was very pleased and finalized my resume and cover letter within a week after receiving the first draft. I was so impressed I bought the additional package to include my LinkedIn makeover. I was surprised the LinkedIn makeover was just a copy and paste of my resume but it was still better than what it was previously. Overall, I would definitely recommend TopResume - just give yourself plenty of time to go through the process.

I was looking to see what I might be missing in my resume when I worked with them. The first draft was off the old resume attachment that was several years old not the current resume. It was missing alot of information and the formatting was way less professional than I would expect of a paid service and way less than I demand from marketing professionals.

The second revision -- format still poor at best. Grammer issues, took all the detail out of my resume and were missing locations of employment

The third revision -- still terrible. I paid for a resume rewrite that I have to rework to use. I am way better off with my old resume.

They might be okay for your first resume out of school. But it was a complete waste of money from my point of view.

All top resume did was add a template and asked me to fill in information they could not figure out based off my inputs. They failed to do what I paid them for, complete waste of time and money!

If you want someone with limited command of the English language, this is the service for you! Was hoping for professional resume writing help. Instead received a poorly written, grammatically incorrect mess. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Top company. Definitely trustworthy. If for whatever reason your unsatisfied with your first draft yohr writter will work with you non stop till your vision is archieved! I recommend the ceo profesional package since you'll want the best of the best. Only had my resume for about two weeks now and never have i received as many interview requests than i do now, truly an amazing service well worth the price in the long run, cheers and good luck mates!
