I order two gifts for my mother and mother in law for mothers day. The packages never arrived. When I called the customer service department they said to wait another week and promised the arrival of the necklaces'. Again, they did not arrive. I called for the last time and customer service, but me on hold forever, was very rude, and could not track my order. After finally speaking to a supervisor she promised to have them to me next Friday so I ended up cancelling the order. Things remembered is disorganized and lost my business. Things remembered put me through way too much unneeded aggravation.

Ordered a personalized snow globe for my Grand daughter's first birthday
Paid to have it shipped overnight since apparently our 2 local stores have been closed. The day before her birthday I called and was told order had been canceled and they had sent an email letting me know, which was an absolute lie. People were not friendly, one rep hung up on me, had to call back. I will never shop there again and will warn others not to either. Very poor customer service. I am sure, soon whole business will shut down along with the stores.

Disappointed
December 22, 2018

This company has been around Forever, I would think, especially at Christmas time a Manager would be on staff helping run the store. I purchased 2 items in store. There was no organization as to filling out forms. No organized line. One lady behind me had the font book in her hand, so no one else could look at it. The purchase took way too long at the register and the staffer was confusing af. Today I called to see if it's done, spent 5 mins on the phone while they looked but couldn't find it. Now I'm waiting on a call back.

Terrible Experience
October 17, 2017

What should have been a 5 minute online ordeal turned into a 3 hour process. No one could help understand why the website wasn't processing after I tried on 3 computers and a phone. Then it took an hour while someone had to place the order for me. The girl was new. She was very nice but had received very little training to get her started. They really need to improve their online shopping experience or next time I'll save my $150 and buy a gift card! Get some IT support.

Amazing Customer Service
December 23, 2017

I ordered a whiskey decanter with an engraving on it about a week before Christmas. The next day, I received an email telling me that item was out of stock, but they offered me 50% off a different item and free expedited shipping. I responded, and got a call from them to confirm my new order. Sure enough I was able to get 50% off and free expedited shipping of a different whiskey decanter all before Christmas came along! The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly friendly and made this process very easy! I would recommend Things Remembered because of the amazing customer service I received, and the whiskey decanter is something I'm sure my father will love for Christmas!

Well my first complaint, boy has the company gone down hill. I ordered an engraved mens bracelet and picked it up at the store at Great Lakes. A young man handed it to me with no bag, never asked. He was rude. I take it out to look at it and it's covered in white goo. I showed him. He could not care less. I asked him to wipe it off. You would think I asked him to extract one if his lungs. So disgusting. So rude.
Another try. Ordered a bracelet online. Received confirmation. Five days after the delivery date I contacted the company. I get an email blaming me and saying they cannot find the order. I sent a screen shot of THEIR confirmation. What a messed up order records system. I requested the ecact delivery date. We will see. Since my paid order was lost by them it may take some time now.
Two big strikes. I'm done ordering from them. MANY other service options out there.

No customer service

I ordered a snow globe for my mom for Christmas on line. The globe itself cost around $37 dollars, the engraving cost just about the same. (I Love you Mom). I got it in about a weeks time. Upon opening it, at first i thought they had forgotten to engrave it, but it was worse, they had engraved it and the etching is so faint you can barely see it. For the amount they charge per letter i expected to be able to see it. I have ordered two globes from them in past years, one in store and one on line, and while pricey they both came out nice. I have emailed them 3 times since receiving the item and no one has bothered to respond.

I know we are all busy with the holidays and all, but i feel this is poor customer service.

Will take future business elsewhere.

Never got online order
December 10, 2018

I had to call customer service three time before someone even picked up. Then I was only told that my item was handled by a third party so they could not do anything about it. It ended up being a month with no word about the item ordered until I had to go through the hoops of customer service again to cancel the damn order.

I ordered a watch for an employee's retirement. A few days after it was suppose to arrive I tried to check on the order through their website and wasn't having any luck so I gave a very unpleasant woman at customer service a call. Turns out they had cancelled my order because the item was out of stock, claiming they sent an email that I never received (I double checked, including junk/spam mail folder). Will find someone else for this kind of thing in the future and so should you.

Above and Beyond!

The district manager at the Mall of America location went above and beyond for me! I had a rushed order for a wedding and did have time to run back and forth to the store, so this manager made it work for me! She really went out of her way to fulfill my order, plus some! Thank you so much the dessert plates, they look great!

Pentagon city location 1100 south Hayes street i have placed order for my parents anniversary and went to pick it up guess what the written was upside down, you have to flip around the pendant to read the message and asked her to re do it again on the same key chain that i choose. And told me to come back tomorrow, why Would i have to come back tomorrow? It takes less than 5 min to do it, when i asked her to give me the location info thus i place a complain she handed me the business card and i started writing, i love things remembered pentagon city location weekend workers are much professionals than the manager on duty. She need to change her attitude... she was horrible.

Great Customer Service

They ran out of my order I got a email saying they ran out and to call them. I was greeted by two excellent reps that not only found me some great similar items but made sure I got a percentage off and expedited shipping. The items came fast and were perfect.

Had issues with a engraved item I ordered online. Called Savannah, Ga's Things Remembered and spoke with Jacob... He was incredibly helpful... went out of his way to help. It was on Mother's Day weekend and he was alone in the store (very busy) he was so courteous to each customer while not having any help. He took such pride in the store and seeing to it that we were all taken care of... which we were. If I had a business I would like to know that someone with his care, concern and efficiency would be managing it. It's good to see a young man take this kind of pride in his job and I would like to give him an extra thank you for all of his help! He is a definite asset to this company.

WOW! Long story short, I attempted to do a site-to-store purchase due to needing an item quickly. It ended up that the items o ordered were not available for that option but I unknowingly ordered it anyway. After 2 calls and a visit to the local store, I left with 2 fantastic personalized items and a refund on my online order. Way to take care of your customer guys! Shout out to Matthew Blaine in the Governor's Square store in Tallahassee, FL and to Terri and Charity at the call center for straightening my mess out! My little cousin is going to LOVE her graduation gifts! You guys ROCK!

Awesome!

I purchased a Dakota Card Case through the online store on Thursday, March 24,2016 and opted to pick-up my purchase at the Laurel Park Mall location. According to the online store, my order would not be ready until after 3 p.m. I decided to call the store to see if there was any way possible to get this item by 2 p.m. I spoke with a wonderful woman by the name of Susan. Susan explained to me the store was a bit busy, but give her at least an hour and she would send a text message to my phone when my order was completed. I don't believe it was even a full hour before I received the text message from the store stating my personalized card case was done. I arrived at the store to pick-up my purchase a little bit before 2 p.m. and much to my surprise, the card case was even more beautiful in person than online. The engraving was very elegant which complemented the handsome case. I am super pleased with my purchase. I even hugged Susan for being able to accommodate my request. You Rock!

Horrible experience!

Horrible experience! I ordered two identical ornaments online. I got an email saying one was done but they were then out of stock. After almost an hour on the phone, I settled on a replacement for the second. Mistake, I was not impressed with the product. Here's the kicker though, they up charged me for the difference in cost without my consent and then canceled my original ornament (the one they said was already done) without ever telling me! When I called to ask where it was I got nowhere. Never going back.

They engraved the top of the jewelry incorrectly. I sent several emails to their customer service department and never got a response to any of the emails.
This company charges dearly for their products and a person would expect quality for the prices charged.
Finally got customer service by calling the number listed on their site. It was a long wait getting to talk with a representative, but was told that they would send out a replacement box and I would receive it in about 11 days.
Will wait and see if the rep was blowing smoke. If you have a problem, do not waste your time emailing their customer service department. It will only end up in frustration, no results. I have a feeling that the talk with the live rep may end up the same, but will wait and see.

Overall awful

I have attempted to purchase items from Things Temebered on a few occasions and have never had a successful of pleasant experience. On the first I attempted to buy a pocket knife that was engraved for my significant other. I received a door knocker that was someone else's and when I contacted things remembered they said they shipped me the wrong persons item and mine was shipped to someone else.! The item I revived had previously been open. When I asked for a new one to be sent I was told they were out of stock and I was offered 20% off which I can find online. The second time I attempted to order a Weave Texture Valet Box for only $7. Everything went through until I received an email stating this too was out of stock and upon calling I was told it was indefinitely. Things remembers needs to get their act together and update their website. I will not be ordering from the again or at least attempting.

I think thingsremembered something very expensive, I like creative things. But the price is more expensive than akisonshop, I think akisonshop cheap quality or buy before the same, but akisonshop.com mailing a long time. They need 7-15 days to reach the United States.

The hospital lost my dad's air force pocket watch my son had bought him while stationed in the army and I wasn't able to replace it. So I e-mailed customer service and Victoria Harman in Ohio found the only watch available, had it engraved, and mailed it to me for my dad. I could never imagine that kind of compassion and assistance. Thanks Things Remembered! You restored my dad's faith!
