Purchased the star battery lights and although very pretty they took a ridiculous amount of time to untangle as the end was hidden in the middle of the bundle of wires. An absolute waste of valuable time. Avoid at all costs unless you have a few hours to spare and like untangling things!

My partner ordered me some pyjamas. £80 which is an expensive treat for us. Never have had pyjamas this expensive. However they were too big when they arrived. We sent them back with their recommendation of using Hermes. Over a month later, still no refund and impossible to get through to customer services. I hate this world we live in now where this seems to have become acceptable from these type of companies. Never will I be ordering online again. Disgrace

Ik kocht mantel moest retour daar hij te klein was nu wacht ik al 44 dagen op mijn geld 400 euro dat ik terug moet krijgen Contact met chat die zeggen wacht 24 tot 48 u we zoeken het uit.Ik heb zwart op wit op papier dat het retour is gegaan.Op mails antwoorden ze gewoon niet.Dat is een goede les koop er nooit nog iets en mensen je bent gewaarschuwd ze houden u gewoon aan het lijntje...mijn 400 euro ja waar zijn die hé

I bought 2 linen T Towels expecting them to be as good if not better than pure Irish linen but didn't notice made in Lithuania.
Actually wanted them to make kitchen cafe curtain,
Sooo thin,The White Comp top and bottom does not show up and grey colour

I spent over €400 Do NOT order from overseas
Zero customer service. I spent over €400 on an order from Spain. Tracking information showed the order stuck in Customs. I repeatedly contacted the White Company for guidance and help. This was very time consuming. Each time they promised to get back to me and yet this NEVER happened. Many weeks later I called again to be told they had authorised a refund (without communicating with me). No refund received - no goods received - no communication with customer service. Utterly appalling.

Tip for consumers:
True transparency about difficulty of receiving an order overseas.

Ordered item as a present …. Assured it would arrive in time as recipient due to leave country … no further communication despite being promised e mail and follow up. Finally told by royal mail that delivery took place 4 days late and parcel just dumped in doorstep - hold out no hope for refund or further assistance 🤦🏼‍

Such a joke company. I put an order online and waited for over a month and nada...
Had to go to the website's chatroom to inquire about my order. They told me the items I ordered was no longer available (after a month) and no one even bothered to contact me to let me know I should go and look for what I'm trying to purchase elsewhere.
They keep you hanging without a simple email notification or something...
Never shop at that company again.

Ordered an item and was charged for it immediately. When it didn't arrive weka later I emailed, it said I should get a reply. Within 24 hours, it didn't happen. Called and was told the phone lines were busier than usual so requested a call back; didn't get one. Spent the best part of an afternoon hanging on the phone. Eventually got through to be told it was out of stock and was unlikely to be back in soon. Asked for a refund, got put through to another department, held on for 20 minutes and they cut me off. What dreadful service! Used to be a great company, what has happened to them?! Will not use again sadly.

My 87 year old mother was looking to a buy a gift for a friend during lockdown. I suggested she try "The White Company". Having bought stuff in their shops before, thinking their stuff was reasonable quality. There was a problem with the delivery and message card. My mum called the company to make a complaint but also to let them know what had happened, as they might want to be aware, so it didn't happen again. The woman she spoke with on the "helpline" was absolutely not going to take any responsibility or offer any apology. Doesn't make sense, my mum wasn't after a refund she just thought she should give them the heads up, so the same thing wouldn't happen again (to another customer) Really awful service, wouldn't ever buy anything from there again or recommend (I'd stick to John Lewis)

I ordered several items from this company and was really disappointed in the quality, so I sent every item back. I only ever received a refund for one item. I contacted customer service multiple times, and on one occasion, the representative was f**cking me around (I could hear her giggling with her coworkers - I assume with her hand over the receiver), asking me the same question repeatedly, until I finally gave up. I contacted the manager of customer service directly by email, and never received a response. I wrote a review on another site, and received a reply on there from their customer service, asking me to email them again. I did, and again no response. This is just a horrible company, a horrible experience, and a horrible waste of money.

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! TH CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DEVASTATINGLY HORRIBLE AND THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!

None. I returned them all and was only refunded for one item, out of a nearly $900 order.

We have been waiting over a year to return an item but they wont send over customs forms as requested by the post office because there label doesn't cover fees.

I bought two items one of which was reduced in the sale form the store. The white pyjamas would have been originally priced at £80 but in the sale £56 and not worth it. I hand washed them and yet there are loose threads on the arm. The jumper not cheap at £110 which I hand washed shrank and then I looked at the label saw 47 Acrylic, 38% Viscose, 10% Nylon and wait for it, 5% Cashmere. Not even sure a forensics team would detect it. Why bother? Well it's good advertising. Unfortunately I don't have the receipt so I'm hoping for a refund in vouchers. I have little faith in this company big prices rotten quality.

I kept the pyjamas because of the hassle and not having the receipt although I do have the said amount as a transaction from my current account.

Just received my order from the White Company...
Having never ordered from this company before I was very concerned it would take ages to receive the order as I placed it BEFORE ( sily me) I checked out the ( mostly bad) reviews.
When I tried to contact them to ask about the ETA for the delivery I couldn't reach anyone at all.
Never heard from anyone so I was flying solo.
The order actually arrived really quickly, however, the packaging was sloppily put together with a stark white linen jacket's plastic covering stuck into the adhesive on the Purolator packaging, & when I managed to pry it out of the plastic there were a few dark stains, albeit faint ones, on the jacket.
Still, for a $300 CDN jacket I expected the white glove treatment ( come on, they are the WHITE COMPANY after all!).
The 2 mint hand washes I ordered smell amazing, however, once again really poorly packaged... actually not packaged at all -- No plastic wrap on the dispenser pump & one of the bottle's tops was actually broken right off & there was about 1/6 of the liquid soap missing & had leaked onto one of the plastic covers of the blouse that I ordered... sheesh, I don't know how a company can package things so poorly. At least most of the items were on sale, but still zero excuse.
Even though I like the look of the clothes & they fit fairly well & I LOVE that mint wash I just don't think I can order again unless their attention to detail improves A LOT.

I returned two items from my first purchase ever on this site, same time, same box. Their response was to acknowledge one item so I had to write again. Then they responded that, Oh Yes, we did get two items. I waited and waited for the refund. When it didn't come, I started to attempt contact. Their phone number doesn't work, and so I got into multiple chats - time consuming chats. FINALLY i was told the refund appears on the ORDER date, which was a few weeks before they even received the return. Huh? Once I dug through my old transactions, sure enough there it was almost a month earlier. Why they do this, I'm not sure.
The garments were cute enough, but way overpriced. A sweater that has about the quality of a Target item was exorbitantly priced. I will steer clear of this company in the future.

They violate their own terms and conditions by adding an extra charge for EU customers that they do not disclose. They tell you they will charge VAT and then refund it, then they tell you it wasn't VAT but rather a "price consistency" adjustment and therefore cannot be refunded. I have complained to Trade Standards.

I had the same experience as the person who just wrote a negative review. I purchased 3 sets of pillows from the White Company 3 weeks ago and I have been chasing and chasing for them to pick up the merchandise. I have had to stay home multiple days because DPD just never picks up the merchandise and I have to chase the White Company to ask where they are - and explain that I have to go to work and cannot stay home all day waiting for the courier, and they keep saying they'll look into it and email me back. I never hear back, and the cycle continues - I then call again and they "rebook" the courier, who never shows up. I have a flat in London and explain that I do not have the space for the boxes, and I would like to be refunded - and therefore get the charge off my credit card. Despite how inconvenience I have been, the White Company has offered nothing other than to keep rebooking the courier. This is the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. I would recommend anyone to take your business elsewhere! There are plenty of great companies out there who treat their customers with much better care and service.

I have used this product for sometime and have always loved the way the fragrance would sent my rooms.However the new style of bottle isn't working.I have to walk up to the bottle before I can smell the fragrance. I'm disappointed and unfortunately won't be purchasing again. Love the brand and the georgus products

Ordered linens in July. Nothing recd by mid August so I called Customer service. After 3-4 contacts with them i am told that my order had been mistakenly cancelled and I should call London and reorder. Again, after going back and forth with them 3-4 times, i declined to replace the order. BUT then, 2.5 months later, I get an emailed stating that DHL is delivering a package from them! Declined the DHL delivery per their instructions, sent them the DHL verification that the order was returned, I am told the order would be refunded in 72 hours BUT a week later - no refund and no communication from them. Needless to say, I have contested the charge with my credit card company, My advice - DO NOT PURCHASE from THE WHITE COMPANY. What a disaster! I ended ordering from "PushpLinen" — beautiful duvets, at great prices, and great customer service!

Do not buy from….they are a nightmare

Just managed to get through to customer service to be cut off when things got a bit too complicated for them deal with. A parcel ordered a few weeks ago appears to be in permanent transit with Hermes. Very disappointing as I had always rated this company, but no longer.

This is a while back now but having read other reviews I felt compelled to write. I ordered a mother's day e-voucher for £200 for my Mum. She did not receive it. With lockdown meaning had not seen her for 6 months I wanted to give her something special and had she not said that she was a little surprised I had forgotten mothers day I would never have know she had not received it and the White Company would have in effect stolen my money. I wonder how many others this has happened to unbeknownst to them. When I complained they said simply they would look into it and it took until Friday afterwards before she finally received it - 5 days after Mothers day. All I received from the White Company (Siyanda McCabe) was an emailing stating "we have now sent it" without any apology. I was appalled and replied saying I was hoping for an apology. They wrote again apologising but I must say I expected maybe a voucher as an apology which I suggested without reply. I wasn't looking for a free be but I did expect my order to arrive on time when it was time sensitive and at the very least an unprompted apology after which becomes meaningless. I have spent a lot of money at the White Company over the years on my wife, Mum, sister and development projects but I will now think twice! Appalling customer service.

Do not use this company. Wish I had read past reviews before making an order, which did not come. They ignored several telephone calls and two emails, eventually a helpful girl did answer and I found out that my order was out of stock, I cancelled immediately. Never use them again.

Extremely disappointing.
I have £60 worth (just got them last Christmas) of vouchers (paper one) and was told I can't use them anymore, that they could be used only up to June 1st. Their announcement about it was apparently displayed in shops! How would I know this? Im not free enough to go around shopping centers looking for announcements. They basically stole my money! Absolutely appalling service and pathetic replies.
I wouldn't purchase again from this store!
