TeamViewer's reputation is significantly marred by widespread dissatisfaction regarding its customer service and cancellation policies. Customers frequently express frustration over unexpected charges, strict cancellation requirements, and inadequate support, often experiencing long wait times and unresponsive communication. While some users appreciate the software's functionality, many believe it does not justify the high cost, citing better alternatives in the market. Overall, the feedback indicates a trend of customers feeling trapped by the company's practices, leading to a negative perception of its reliability and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Very very sneaky company operations. Just stay away. Do not rely only on teamviewer. There are so many alternative for remote control PC programs whether free or paid. Just please please avoid teamviewer. Terrible interface, slow and no support ever. You will get reply after 11 days response if you are lucky enough for that month.
I tried the free version of team viewer to access my work computer from home. Seemed to work find for one day and after that would not let me sign in to my work computer. Could not get it to work so took it off my computer. Anybody know of a better FREE system.
Super crappy because:
1. They spam the hell out of you when you upload it
2. Not intuitive in the least. Really poor UI
3. Attaches itself to your dock (Mac) and stays there unless you get rid of it
Awful
Good luck trying to remove auto-renewal of your subscription. If you ever reach support, they will mumble crap about their agreement. I'm stuck with a $588 bill for a service I do not want. The past year, their service was intermittent and support was non existent.
I submitted my cancellation demand, per their instructions with no means of acknowledge receipt of my cancellation demand. Company is a fraud and I have reported to the Texas Attorney Generals office.
This product crashes all the time, and I tried to cancel now for two years, customer support needs to be fired all of them. Please don't buy this product, worse customer and product exp's in 30 yrs
The company will automatically renew your subscription and charge you the annual fee even if you send them a cancellation notice. If you have been victimized by this company and you are a resident of California or your company does business in CA, please file a complaint with the CA Dept. of Consumer Affairs. They are easy to find online. You should also pursue a claim through your credit card company and sue TeamViewer in your local small claims court to get your subscription refunded. TeamViewer is RIP off!
Overpriced software with predatory hidden terms and conditions. Numerous complaints online about their unexpected renewal conditions and they are quick to threaten customers with legal action and submission to collections.
If you account should reach a status where an invoice is outstanding, they will refuse to communicate or work with you unless you pay. Don't pay? It will go to collections. Absolutely no customer service.
I joined TeamViewer just over 1 year ago. I paid the annual fee by Paypal and within a couple of months TeamViewer were threatening legal action saying I had not paid my subscription. They finally sorted it out on there end and I was up and running and all was sweet although no apology from them, disgraceful service.
To my surprise they took $578 charged to Paypal on the 27th July, 2019, no bill sent prior they just took the money. Now this evening I set up my new computer and after 2 hours of trying to set up the TeamViewer I realise under the account setting again the funds have not been allocated to my account and the system is wanting me to pay again for a new subscription which has already been paid.
I can no longer use the TeamViewer probably because the system is wanting me to pay again.
They have sent an automated email, advising they have received my 2 emails sent and that's it so far.
I wonder how many other people have this problem? I really needed to use the TeamVeiwer this evening to submit a quote which I can kiss goodbye. Thanks TeamViewer. Last year it was legal action for a paid account and now I've really been let down bady. What a terrible company.
I cannot believe I received an automatic renewal notification from TeamViewer today... the very day of the automatic renewal. There was no notification prior to today. I had no intentions of renewing and since the subscription was completed online, via a phone conversation, I was completely unaware of a 28 day prior to renewal policy which can only be delivered in writing!
Of course, I have closed the credit card account before they were able to make the charge but I do suspect I will receive some sort of attempt to damage my credit in retaliation of their shady business practices.
We are entirely too busy to keep up when every online subscription will be renewing. To not send out an invoice at least 30 days in advance is an absolutely horrible business practice. I will be voicing this review on every outlet possible in order to keep other businesses from an obvious trap set by a predatory company.
Teamviewer has outdated cancellation policy. Buyer beware they require a 28 day cancellation before contracts ends. Most states have laws against this type of cancellation. Call your BBB agency and complain. Don't take this laying down.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND REFUSE TO ISSUE REFUNDS!
I received an email last night telling me they have charged my credit card $500 for the next year. I logged into my Teamviewer account and couldn't find anywhere to cancel it. I only found a "delete account" button so I used it, All it did was delete my account which I still have to pay for because Teamviewer apparently doesn't issue refunds and now I can't even log back into my account because I deleted it! What kind of company doesn't issue refunds?
I liked their product but not for $500 a year! I barely use it. Their customer service is very concerning. When I called in to cancel I was on hold for over 30 minutes as I was caller #10. The first customer service guy told me I had to write a letter stating that I wanted to cancel my account. Why do I have to write a letter when I just sat on hold for over half an hour? After I requested a refund and was denied I told him I would contact the BBB so he transferred me to another customer service person who told me the exact same thing but was able to cancel my account for me over the phone. I asked her how do I access my account now that I've deleted the account and they won't issue me a refund and she said she would transfer me to support. I'm now sitting on hold again as Caller #10!
I will NEVER recommend Teamviewer to anyone again. This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered. Bad enough that i'm actually writing this review.
The product was ok but customer service is the worst. Stay clear and avoid this company. If you purchase anything they auto charge you for renewal and to speak to someone is the worst customer service i have dealt with in 26 years as a professional. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS SERVICE GO TO SOMEONE WHO APPRECIATES YOUR BUSINESS!
TeamViewer requires very expensive fees and costs $599 for every year. And when I was looking for an alternative, I found "hideasoft remote desktop", which costs $50 for a lifetime and is more powerful than TeamViewer. It can connect up to 1000 terminals and can support video conferencing. I think this is the only real alternative to TeamViewer.

Sammy and Ronnie got access to my Computer to give me a refund. Instead they took money from my Paypal account and a credit card. They are a SCAM and will do anything to get control of your Computer!
I have been a corporate Team Viewer user with a paid annual subscription for over 4 years. All in all it is a pretty good tool. I do however question the leadership decision making as far as new wiz bang features vs. completing just basic functionality. I have been asking for an audio cue when a new customer requests a session for over 3 years. They provide an audio cue when a chat message comes in, and an email when a session is requested, but not a simple basic audio cue. When working with multiple machines and monitors, this is a critical but simple ask. Their stubbornness is troubling and diminishing my confidence in the product.
Do not be fooled to pay this company any money. The product is under developed and not cross version compatible. It is also infested with security risks. Meaning you will only be able to remote to a unit unless its using the exact same version. Even though you pay.
Use ANY other remoter and save yourself a lot of money and grief
After 3 weeks of waiting, I finally received an email from Teamviewer telling me that I was approved to use their services for PERSONAL use.
However, I have tried several times and it does not work.
I am now using ANYDESK and I am very satisfied with the service. Bye Teamviewer.
I have used the Free version of Teamviewer for years to call my elderly mother in France. It worked great until 2 days ago when it tells me that I am using it for commercial purposes. I AM NOT. My mother is the only one I call using Teamview and I need it to help with her computer.
I called Teamviewer and ended up with someone in the sales department. She said it would cost $49 per month for a subscription. She was unable to transfer me or give me a phone number to fix my issue. She said the website was made for "you people" who use it for Free. OK, it looks like I'll be using a new company which is too bad because I was happy with Teamviewer.
If they no longer want to provide the FREE version, they should just say so instead of lying about commercial use.
Whoever is in charge of development at Team Viewer has made it nearly impossible to support my end users. Version differences that are not forward or backward compatible block you from supporting end users. Then there is the limited licenses for support teams. Under the license that we have, we are only allowed three primary support licenses. So if you support someone on your work desktop and then get a call at home and are need to support someone from your home laptop, you have to remove the license from your work desktop computer first. They are making it far too difficult to support end users and are driving my company to look at other options. They started out as a good product, but now are making it very frustrating to support end users. We are reviewing other options.
Teamview fraudulently took an entire years membership without permission
I no longer use TeamViewer yet somewhere in the the fine print with Palypal they debited an entire years service without my concept. PayPal say not their issue. TeamViewer so tough luck.
How the * are the allowed to simply take an entire years membership without my permission. They say 28 days for cancellation. Sure... So take a month which I won't use but common, an entire friggen year. Gonna fight them. Tooth and nail the F*!
I contacted Teamviewer to cancel my contract with the correct notice.
Seven months later I received a letter saying I have 7 days to pay a final invoice before debt recovery. The letter was received 2 weeks after the 7 day notice- didnt even pay the correct postage!
Immediately contacted Teamviewer support to explain the situation.
I was told previous letters had been sent(never received) and previous emails sent ( email address had been out of use for a year!)
Arrogant, dishonest and disorganised!
Answer: They say I don't qualify to talk to a real person when I call the number and they don't respond to my tickets...
Answer: Definitely Chrome Remote Desktop. Been using for about 4 years now and haven't had any issues. Improvements over the few years since I first started using it have made it even better.
