Absolutely ridiculous. Could not place an order due to your stupid website not letting me type in the entire address! People live in long named places. Fix it or you'll lose a LOT of business
Twice now I have ordered product from this site and it takes forever to arrive and the shipping invoice is incorrect. They say they don't have it in stock after it clearly was in stock 3 weeks before when I ordered it. Offered a refund and then 20% off another product. If I haven't figured it out after the first time why after the second time of this happening would I bother trying to buy something with my chances of actually receiving what I ordered only being fifty percent. Terrible odds for a company. No, if it is not in stock 3 weeks after I ordered it you find something suitable to replace it and then give me something free for my angst since stress is the good precursor to heart attacks. I ordered because I wanted something that you said you had in stock 3 weeks ago. Why does it take so long anyway. It's lipstick, not a rocket to fly to the moon. I didn't order a special purple car that only drives on the souls of those who believe in the tooth fairly. Only 1 time have I ever been able to get anyone on the phone. I like most of the product, however I was disappointed with the lip gift set this Christmas. They must really be going down hill.
On 11/7 I took advantage of the $62 kit. My card was declined the first time and then it took it the second time and charged my card. The screen said it went through. A few days later I noticed I never got a confirmation email. My friends did (I was the one to tell them about the sale). I emailed their customer service they basically told me too bad there was a system error you will not be getting your product. What? I went back and forth with them and they still gave the same answer. I called them today and they said the same thing. Sent me a "promotional code" for the trouble. Only 20% off. What a joke. I should be getting a credit to make up for the difference since those items are full price now.
I come from customer service at a well known company and the way I was treated was horrible. They basically told me sucks to suck that OUR SYSTEM charged your card. We will not send you the product you ordered. It's too bad. I really like their makeup but will not support it any longer. What a joke. Do yourself a favor and don't shop here.
So i loved makeup for about 5 years now and im amazed with this brand! Like they have so many amazing things from skincare to beauty etc. i love this brand' 10/10 would recommend!
I am so upset with this company! The way they did their birthday beauty deals was absolute bait-and-switch. My item (clay play sculpting palette) went oos as i tried to order... hours later it's back in stock, but now at the full price of $46, instead of $18. They should have disclosed that they were only willing to sell a certain number at that price. It worked on me initially as i did place an order anyway. When I saw the price change back to $46 and immediately was back in stock i knew what they did, so i called this morning. I wanted to see if it could be added to my order at the discount price (that i should have been able to order in the first place)... was told sorry, no. Really? Why? I called back right away and said, "you know what, just cancel the order", which they were totally cool with, like yeah, whatever, don't care is the tone. They would rather lose my order and all future business over a discount palette that I should have been able to purchase? Stories like mine are all over social media. This was my very first and last order with tarte. I really did want to get the other items i ordered, but if that's how they treat people, heck no! There are too many alternatives that will go out of their way to make customers happy- folks, this is not one of them I promise you! Bye tarte, our affair was short and not so sweet?
TARTE IS A SCAM. AS SOON AS I REACHED "soulmate" STATUS SOMEHOW MAGICALLY MY CARD ON FILE WAS INCORRECT AND NOW I CAN NO LONGER CHECKOUT. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY BILLING INFORMATION OR MY WEB BROWSER. I USED 3 WEBBROWSERS SAFARI, CHROME AND FIREFOX. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE PROCEEDS TO BLAME ME FOR NOT BEING ABLE YO CHECKOUT. THEN THEY GAVE ME A $50 GIFT CARD WHICH I STILL CANNOT CHECKOUT WITH. THEY SAID THEY CAN MAKE ME A NEW ACCOUNT BUT APPARENTLY "CANNOT REPLACE MY SOULMATE STATUS" THEY ARE A SCAM AND CRAP FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Sucks because their products were decent. DONT SHOP HERE.
Won't answer calls, won't return emails, won't pick up on the chat function. If I could give negative stars, I would. Their products may be good but their business model is terrible.
Okay so i sorta liked the foundation but it wasn't my shade so i returned it and i got feir beige which was still too light for me but i didnt feel like returning it again. But then a week later i recieved another one and i didnt order another one so i basically just got it for free like hell yeah!

I spent 350 dollars on tarte products, until now not only have i not received my items, the customer service sucks and was not helpful at all. They packed my items into 2 separate parcel and has provided incomplete address, one of the parcel reached me but was only part of it. I am returning the parcel back to them and wondering where the other parcel has went. I provided all the info but all they can tell me is the same old $#*! like when we get back the goods we provide refund. I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE THE $#*!ING PARCEL IS?! And on top, after countless times of telling them, they still reply the same old anwer. Makes me wonder if the people working there are $#*!ed or something? I need to lodge a complaint or consumer forum. PLS DONT BUY STUFF FROM THEM, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.
No one is ever available on the Live Chat function, I have never gotten a rep on the phone before spending over 2 hours on hold, and its taken WEEKS to email me back-this is BEFORE Covid-19 delays. Shame on me for giving them another chance.
I (first time) ordered makeup from Tarte during the birth sale on 10/18/17 and I received my package on 10/24/17, two times were missing from the box, but the packaged slip says quantity ordered/shipped is 5 (#5 is the free sample). I emailed *******@tartecomsmetics.com and I was asked to send a picture of the items I received and the packaged slip. I was like for real, this seems like a fraud, because the packaged slip literally typed 5 items quantity ordered and shipped, but the box only contains 2 items. Whats there for me to proof, it seems like a setup? I am thinking that they already knew what is what and try to fake not be able to find whats going on. What the hell! This is very frustrating, I am a nursing student and a mother of two, so I am very busy, I dont have all time to keep emailing/replying them back without helping (such as reimburse me or send the missing items to me. I am hoping that I will get reimburse because I dont want anything from them anymore). Regardless how the result is going to be, this is will be my first and last order from Tarte.
My question is why a well-known cosmetics company like Tarte would do this to small person like me and other people. I searched for similar complaints on online, and I found similar encounters like mine, during this so-call birthday sale. This is not an easy mistake to make, its more like intentional. They cannot compensate for their mistakes.
I ordered from their website for the first time and the package was delivered ripped and opened. And there was dirt inside it. I called and emailed them. The best they could do was to email with me back with a STANDARD email saying you accept returns. And when I called them I could barely hear what the woman was saying because there was so much background noise, her voice was loud but NOT clear. I had to ask her to repeat what she said multiple times.

My item delivery was failed, and the mailing company said they have returned it to Tarte, and I still havent got any reply about whether they will refund me or not, I paid a lot for this, and there is delivery problem that I didnt get anything, so im paying for nothing, Tarte has better refund me for this

I recently purchased a 7 piece set for AUD $84. The order arrived minus the foundation, my main reason for making the purchase. Tarte did not notify me that they were sending me an incomplete order. If they had, I would have requested to cancel it. Now to fix the problem, I've been given a promo code which a, can't be used to buy the missing item, and b, offers less discount than what is currently offered on the website! $12 does not come close to being adequate to repurchase what I ordered.
After having to deal with your appalling customer service I definitely will not have a "gorgeous day". If you really want to call yourself "customer service" then actually provide the service rather than continually causing disappointment in a loyal customer.
I have read countless posts online about customers receiving incorrect orders and Tarte refusing to resend the correct item. CLEARLY there is a problem that you need to sort out. The fact that this has been occurring for more than 2 years, and twice personally, makes me wonder if this is just an extremely unethical business tactic, as there is no way that a company could accidentally send the wrong order with this frequency. Promoting specials that you cannot fulfil and then refusing to fix it for the customer is no way any business should be run.
I have been very flexible as to the solutions I was willing to accept, including waiting for the item to come back into stock, or as an alternative, a concealer in the same colour which is in stock, but you have not been willing to help me.
Disappointing Tarte!
Placed an order about a month ago (thankfully the value wasn't significant, only 30 EUR) and what happened was the following: filled out all fields regarding shipping, etc. input my debit card details for payment, clicked complete/place order and I got a message along the lines of: your cart was empty. However, I checked my bank account that same moment and noticed that they had taken the money from my bank account. No order was registered on my account, didn't receive a confirmation email. Nothing! I contacted their customer service through online chat and email and they told me that I will receive my refund within 5-7 business days. I STILL HAVE NOT. I asked them why they were taking so long and they told me to check with my bank because they were probably taking too long to process it. There is nothing to process meaning that a refund was never made. I don't think I'm getting anything back from them. They don't even deserve 1 star... It was going to be my first time trying out their products... No, thanks. I will never order anything again.
This is the worst mascara I have ever used. Do not waste your money. You have to use other mascaras over it because it is so bad and does not go on well.
Guys be carful they stole my money, I ordered from them online unfortunately, they didn't my money from my account and sent me a confirmation email for my order then one hr later they send me email said they cancelled my order.
But the money got deducted already and didn't refund it, i'v Been contacting them so many times through emails, calls, sometimes they reply sometimes they ignore, till now didn't get my money back and they stopped answering my emails, it's 500$
When I started reading reviews I saw so many comments of people having same problem that they took there money and never get it back

Great customer service. I let tarte customer service know what happen and they replaced my missing item right away and they even gave me more samples and a finishing spray for my inconvenience.
Answer: I just had this problem and I am currently speaking with a Tarte Customer Service Manager. They will claim that they didn't charge the card and they'll send you an email confirming that. What you can do is file a dispute case with your bank. It will take 30-90 days. Tarte is a horrible horrible company.
