I recently purchased a product for my daughter that she didn't want and Tarte customer service could not have been better. It was no fuss, no problem and they made it extra easy for us. I am sooo impressed with them. We love the products but this time it was not the right fit.

It is very difficult to get someone on the phone at Tarte so I have to email them instead. They don't like to answer questions and they lied about when they shipped my order. It took about 2 weeks to receive my order and I'm in the US. The Power Pigment lip pencil broke off as soon as I tried it. When I returned 2 items, they did not credit me the full amount. I had to email them again and now I'm waiting for the remainder of my credit. Very disappointed.

I have ordered two items from Tarte on August 2. I was provided a tracking number that does not seem to exist. I have called Tarte customer service multiple times but am unable to get through to anybody. I have also tried live chat three times and someone completely stopped responding to me after I provided my email and tracking number. I will never order from the Tarte website ever again. So unprofessional. Will I receive my product? It's August 25th and I have gotten zero updates.

Poor packaging
September 3, 2018

I bought the rouge twice and both times the lid has snapped off the container after just a few uses. I contacted Tarte and they didn't seem to care at all. It is hard to keep the product clean when the lid falls off. For the price they charge they can do much better.

Shipping takes forever
November 8, 2017

If I only knew it will take forever I shouldnt order at all. I ordered 10/17/17. Confirmation email came in after a week. Just after i send a message complaining, thats when they send me an email saying my order just shipped. Its been 3 weeks now. Like seriously, whats going on? I just hope I receive everything I ordered in good condition. Been reading a lot of negative comments. Never again.

I don't have a problem with the products but the customer service is very terrible. I placed my order without choosing a free sample. So, I reached out the customer service to help me add it to my order. But, they only said they couldn't do that for me. And, now I am so unsatisfied with this purchasing. I have been using Tarted products for many years, but this is what I got for being your loyal customer? They can't even give me that sample. So, I'm not going to buy Tarte's products anymore.
Do you know? This situation happened with my friend when she bought Origins products, they responded and add the free sample to her order immediately. If Tarte is not going to improve the service. This company will lose many customers in the future since other brands are doing a lot better than Tarte.

Ridiculous
November 16, 2018

Ordered the custom beauty kit, It just arrived now with the foundation missing and no order Invoice.The main reason I ordered the kit was to try the foundation and It's the one thing that doesn't come. Didn't record the opening of the package either so now I feel like I have no ground to complain/way to prove It.
Tracking of the parcel Is also very Inaccurate - according to the website the package Is still currently In U. S and didn't update throughout Its journey... said package has actually been sat In my bedroom In England for the past couple of hours...
First and last order from Tarte.

I got suckered by getting the birthday surprise deal of full sized items. Well I thought they would be smart enough not to send anything with color maybe some moisturizer and brushes but I got full sized color items. Let me say that my tone is pretty pale, why would I wear pale lipstick with PURPLE lip liner? They didn't even have the decency to match the lipstick to the lip liner. Ugh same for the eye shadow. And the kicker is you can't return it! I just wasted 35$ on crap I can't use! Bad marketing!

I bought my first Tarte palette at Sephora in March (limited-edition Rainforest of the Sea eyeshadow palette vol. II) and I absolutely loved it. I went to Ulta a few days later and bought a second palette (tartelette in bloom clay palette). I live in Mexico so when I got home I ordered a palette, they let me know that it would arrive in 14 to 21 business days. After 33 business days I e-mailed to ask about the package and they let me know that it had been lost but offered me a full refund. Great customer service experience, I will order again to see if I have better luck this second time with the delivery. Highly recommended.

I already love Tarte Cosmetics products, however, they sent me a product that leaked during shipping. I contacted customer service and had a delightful experience. It was resolved quickly and in a very courteous manner. I will definitely continue to be a customer and recommend Tarte to friends

I just received my order today! Very satisfied with my purchase... just one thing... my makeup bag came in with the Tarte label upside down and crooked! I made a call and it took 5 min to get a brand new one shipped to me! Very pleased with Tarte! Definitely sticking with this company!

I have bought this product several times, just because there are not many other options for NON waterproof liquid eyeliners. Every time I buy it, it's great for about a week and I am happy. Then, inevitably, the ink starts coming out in huge globs and runs into my eye, painfully and uncomfortably smearing my makeup and making me rinse my eyes and reapply everything. I have been applying liquid eyeliner for years, and have achieved pretty nice, thin winged lines with other brands of liner. However, when they are sold out or only available in waterproof, I opt for the maneater and hate myself for doing so every time. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this overpriced messy product.

Great Experience!

I love the quality of the makeup, the sales and never have to use Customer Service.

I just received an order and one of my make up pallets was broken. It was a bummer but things happen, especially when shipped. When contacting Customer Service, they offered me a replacement. Generally when dealing with Customer service you dread the long wait, sales, and the disappointment of ending the phone call dissatisfied. I thought their customer service was outstanding. It was short, to the point and was resolved quickly. Overall satisfied with my purchase and the quick resolution to my issue.

I have extremely dry skin, looking for a new foundation and found Tarte Hydrating Foundation well I am hooked! My skin does not feel dry at all while I have it on, this is a first for me. Took several applications to apply correctly but it was worth the time!

This store is full of crap. I contacted Tarte not even 30 minutes after placing an order with the request to get it cancelled. On the site, cancelling an order is one of the possibilities to choose as a subject when contacting them. A few hours later I get a response saying that it can't be cancelled. They basically told me that I need to wait till I get the package and that I then need to return it. They also told me that I will have to pay for the return myself. This will cost me 40 to 60 euro's (45 to 70 dollars). My order was only 80 euro's. I, as a teenager with a minimal wage job, can't just pay 60 bucks for nothing. The costumer service is $#*! and they can honestly go f*ck themselves.

Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They shipped my order and it was missing an item on my order (it was a reward I redeemed for a free item). I emailed and called to get a replacement shipped and they said "sorry we cannot ship the replacement by itself, it can only be shipped with an order." Well you forgot to ship it with my order to begin with!

I loved the packaging and the colors no doubt about that but... the lip paint tubes were dried up and I literally had to fish out product from them. It looked like they had nothing ( I mean you know how it feels when you are at the end of your gloss or lip paint bottle) and the lip liners were so so so hard so dry it hurt my lip and I got no color. I tried warming them on my wrist and by rubbing but it gave me scratch and the tip came off. Very very very disappointed!

BEST BRAND

Tarte is my favorite brand! There shopping takes a couple days but otherwise I love love love them! There products are all so good and smell amazing. It's all cruelty free and doesn't have all the bad chemicals in it! I would recommend this to everyone! There skincare is also sooo amazing!

Worst customer service
September 2, 2017

I bought one of their palettes a couple of months ago and one of the shadows just broke apart on its own... I hadn't even dropped it and every other shadow and blush was intact. I was past the return policy at Ulta so they suggested contacting Tarte because because they claimed their customer service was excellent. WRONG! They were anything but helpful and as a matter of fact they couldn't have cared less about helping me. So disappointed and will no longer be buying their products.

I so love them

Got the package in 3 days from a weekend order. The packaging is tight and very good. All products arrived in good condition sealed safely. I like everything I bought a Lipstick, Primer, Setting Spray, foundation and a concealer. The lipstick is just what I am looking for, the color is lovely and great for everyday use. Foundation is also great and it blends on your skin color.
