I've purchased 2 iPhones and 2 Android phones on Swappa and have been very pleased. I tell all my friends about Swappa. All devices were received promptly and in the exact condition that was described. The process is very clear all the way thru, and your transaction remains open until you've affirmed that you received the device and are fully satisfied. Customer service is attentive, so it doesn't feel like the wild west--I have confidence that if there were a problem, it would be quickly resolved. Price graphs show you when it's a good time to buy. Overall, I love Swappa and absolutely highly recommend it.

Dropped my phone in water and lost hope of ever getting it back. Heard about Swappa selling good used phones, so I looked around. The search is so easy to work. I found the iPhone I want within a minute exactly how I want it and with the right carrier.
The actual process is very interactive, fast, and easy. After placing the order, I paid with PayPal. The seller contacted me right away confirming the shipping address. The next morning the package was sent out and I had my tracking code. The seller was outstanding. Kept me updated through the whole process through the comment section of the website. Shipping was fast, packaging was very secure, and Evan even threw in an extra charger!
I would definitely recommend Swappa to friends and family or anyone in need. It is safe and efficient. No sketchy sellers. And the Swappa staff is involved through the purchase, making sure everything goes smooth.

I discovered Swappa because my phone fell in water and I needed a replacement ASAP! The cellphones through my carrier were $500+ for full price and I knew that was not going to happen. When I found this phone I made sure to read through the website and read through the seller's ratings and the customer comments. Purchased the phone on a Friday and it came in the mail to me on a Monday! Simple to activate once I received it in the mail and the phone was in nearly perfect condition. I went through the checklist provided by Swappa and everything is working fine. I truly appreciate the help, so glad I discovered this website! Would recommend to anyone! Just do your research!

I have sold 2 phones on Swappa, and, have purchased 2. Each transaction went very well overall. I did have difficulty with the last sale, because Swappa requested that I go further in the verification process, but, I completely understand. The more thorough the process, the safer for all concerned. I appreciate the service that Swappa offers, because Craigslist is getting pretty dicey with not knowing the caliber of seller/buyer. Thanks again for a great experience, I am sure I will use Swappa again!

I found a seller who is fast at communicating with me, a pleasure to negotiate the price with, and he shipped priority 2-day and with insurance. I bought a phone in mint condition and it arrived in truly mint condition.

Swappa has a very helpful checklist reminder page that you can walk through with your phone to check its condition and functionality.

All that said, I believe the site might be used by scammers, so use your best judgement and don't believe every low price tag you see. What's nice about swappa listings is that they must have a special code present in all the pictures of the phone as proof. The only time this is an issue is when people are selling "new sealed phones" and they only take a picture of the box -- in that case it's kind of hard to prove the phone is in there unless you ask them to open it and take pics.
