First time using this site. Ordered again to make sure my first positive experience wasn't a fluke. Promt arrival, great packaging, items as described, prices for any budget, expansive selection.
I've spent about $350 on swap.com in the past 2 months. Brand new shoes that fit perfectly - originally $98 for $24. The clothing has all been brand new or gently broken in, but most come with tags. I bought a pair of Lucky shorts with embroidery for $15.00; the tag attached said $74.50! It's crazy great & totally worth the trial. And 100% return if you're not satisfied... send it back.
And I did have one shoe that was new but must have been kept in a poor environment previously... the color started peeling off the stretchy strap on the sandal-but not even noticeable. Well, after I wore them an entire day out shopping, one of the stretch straps came apart where I couldn't fix it. I left an email to customer service just letting them know a $4 product did not last. OMG! They gave me back my $4, plus $2.50 in shipping & told me I had no need to mail them back with sincere apologies from a REAL PERSON!
Amazing company with which to do business! And sales on low-priced items all the time! I'm blessed & gave up on eBay. The only improvement would be adding the waist measurements so we KNOW it's gonna fit. I have a few skirts that might be too tight right now, but I'm working to get into them cuz they're gorgeous.
I've not been disappointed at all.
I've found terrific bargains shopping on SWAP.Com and the list of perks is great. First of all their prices are very low, even for brand new merchandise!
They often run "sales" where those low prices are discounted even further. Frequently they also offer free shipping with a $50 purchase, which is fantastic! Their system allows the user to sort and filter the items so you can only see what you need. I've needed boys jeans so sorted by size and then by price. Then, I easily made my selections. In the end, I purchased 14 pair of new or gently used jeans for my grandson for $56.00, and I got free shipping! (And I never left my home). My daughter was thrilled! Can you do that from a retail store?
When they receive the items, the Swap Staff inspect each item for odors, pet hair, stains, rips or imperfections. If they see something wrong, the item is rejected so the items you buy are carefully screened. They guarantee your satisfaction in whatever you purchase AND they ship super fast!
I've purchased brand new toys and games around the holiday season, and skews of great children's clothing (some slightly worn and others brand new with tags) at the beginning of each school year, or at the change of seasons.
Why pay those high retail prices for kids clothes when you can fill a big box full for what 2 or 3 pieces would cost in the stores?
I RECENTLY ORDERED FROM THREE ON LINE THRIFT SHOPS RESTICH, THRED UP AND SWAP.COM, I HAVE TO SAY THIS ONE IS THE WORST, I ORDERED A PAIR OF BOOTS AND WHEN I GOT THEM THEY LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE IT WOULD COST ME 3 TIMES WHAT I PAID FOR THEM TO SEND THEM BACK, ALSO THE PANTS HAD SOME STAINS AND THE SHIRTS WERE REALLY WORN, ITS A OK PLACE IF YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ITS A VERY USED CLOTHING STORE MY RECOMMENDATION GO ELSE WHERE
He never answer me I am now going on five weeks to get it resolve I email them and they got back to me and said it could take 7 to 8 days to get back to me I on my 7 day now I done this twice get no were if it take that long they must have a lot of complaints And forget the phone you can't get anyone I won't but anything a gain they won't give me my money just a credit When I ask Peter when I get my refund no answer What a guy I will let you know how it ends
I have been buying on Swap for about 2 years to resell on ebay. Most everything was $10 or less and their were always coupon codes out there and I always spent over $100 so I got free shipping. Items would come sometimes even the next day. It was great and I spend $20,000 last year alone with Swap. Like the old saying goes all good things must come to an end :( Well, alot has changed with this once great site. Prices have gone about double and there are rarely and coupon codes out there anymore and I am lucky if I get my packages within 5 days. I believe they are trying to be like or compare to the other big site Thredup. Swap is a big downgrade from Thredup, however I loved buying on swap more because their prices were always so much lower than Thredup. The prices now are really ridiculous and most items you can buy for the same price new or close to new retail. They say they are the largest online thrift store, but yet their "thrift store" prices are more like a 20% off sale buying brand new retail. I think they forgot these are used items. They will end up loosing alot of buyers because of their huge increase in prices. I wish they would go back to letting their sellers price their own items instead of greedy spap pricing them. Such a shame!
I've sold on Swap for a couple years with an average reject rate of 24%. That was considered OK and I was chosen as a Premier Seller when Swap's policies recently changed. So, under the new policies, I sent my first box of about 70+ ladies' tops to Swap with the same quality of clothing I'd always sent. One third of the items were new with tags. They rejected 60% of my clothing, including two pair of new shoes. My second box's processing is pending. I'll see what happens with the second box, which I shouldn't have sent before I knew the reject rate on the first (live and learn). If the results are similar with this box, I'm through with them. It appears that they would rather make money from fines imposed on highly rejected items or other such 'violations' rather than selling clothing. They can deduct all they want, when they want. Because I can sell my remaining clothing elsewhere. If I end up owing them money, they can sue me. (Their court filing fees cost more than what I'd owe.) I am not going to appeal their decision. They aren't worth my time. Their policies are constantly changing because they are in financial trouble. They lost investors, are undergoing a former-employee class action suit, and now, they are going to lose a lot of sellers. Swap.com is becoming Scam.com. It's a shame that a company has to resort to nefarious tactics just to keep their head above water. I don't mind buying from them; but it appears that I will no longer sell on their devious site.
Hello Marissa,
We greatly apologize your recent experience in sending in a box was not what you expected. We take great pride in thoroughly reviewing each item sent in, as this ensures we are placing the highest quality items on our site.
We spend a lot of time reviewing each item, so the last thing we want to do is reject the item as this costs us a lot of time and money. Our goal is for our sellers to have a less than 20% reject rate, as this helps us to move through the boxes quickly and maximize the items we are able to add to our site.
If we can answer additional questions regarding your box, please feel free to reach out to our customer service team at 630-296-0146 or assistance@swap.com.
Sincerely,
Jen - Swap.com
I actually started out loving Swap! Now, not so much! There's a few issues that need attention. Buying from them I ok. The items are great, but need closer attention when they package and "code" them. They recently switched from UPS to FedEx for shipping. I prefer UPS. If returning an item with FedEx you have to pay to have them pick it up if you don't have a drop close by. Not worth it!
Selling, is actually pretty disappointing. You really need to keep track of what you send in, because it doesn't always get on your account to be priced when it should. I think there seller fees are a bit high, and their SureSell is a joke! I don't know where they pull there offers from, but its obviously to help coat their pockets more than ours. Many of my items, name brand, new, excellent condition, etc I only received ridiculous offers from swap themselves. I'm talking like. 14¢ and 24¢. It comes out to less than 5% of what I had it priced at. I'm tired of having to deal with it all. I am waiting for the rest of my items to go to sure sell and collect my fimes from them and be done! I will not be selling through them anymore.
I only ordered one time and every article of clothing I received was in like perfect condition individually wrapped and spotless I will definitely order from them again it was well worth it
So far I've had a 99% positive experience with Swap.com. Great prices for excellent clothing, and I love that I can trade Pokemon cards for my grandson for an outfit somebody wants from me! My only negative experience was having clothes that were new with tags rejected. In some instances I did see something I hadn't seen before (they mark them with a sticky dot), but a couple of other items I never knew why they were rejected. So I sent them back again with my next box of clothing and this time they were accepted. Hmmmm, that was a little strange. But considering how many clothes they deal with each day, I'm surprised more mistakes don't happen. I've only had one wrong item sent to me in over a year of doing business with them, and they immediately refunded me $5 for the item I didn't receive, and let me keep the other one. The clothing comes wrapped nicely in plastic bags, so it has a "real" shopping feel to the experience, and the shipping is always very fast. I have many good things to say about Swap.com, and highly recommend it to anyone.
Great place for clothes, toy old new all things in great shape fast shipping best packing what you see is what you get I always go in like then after shopping like coupons always worth it
Swap.com is like having a thrift store in my home. I can filter the shopping so that I easily find items that will fit me and the product information is easy to understand. I love Swap.com.
Whats so hard to put return label inside the box
Why does your company like wasting people time and money
You don't give back people they credit
In the same form, they bought when returning the item
People work hard for their money and choose to invest in your goods
Don't take people for granted
Hello,
We apologize for any inconvenience with your return policy. Our policy states that we will provide store credit or money back based on the reason for the return. If you initially paid with store credit, the refund will go back to store credit no matter the reason for the return. I've included the link to our returns policy for review.

I now have jeans i can wear & that actually fit on top of that got them at a price i could afford being a single mom of 4 & buy for kids before i buy for myself ide recommend this site to anyone
I just received items returned to me. I NEVER ASKED FOR SWAP TO RETURN ITEMS--WHAT GIVES? Also, box sent to you March 23 shows zero items listed, but box sent after shows activity. I have noticed every time you changed hands rate of commission changed. How convenient the breakoff now is 8.01- for 15 per EUcent-commision. I notice a couple items of mine sold for 8.00 so earned 1.20; Some items I sent were New with tags--like white shorts. I am a premier seller, but am going to use local shops to sell or threadup--MIGHT EVEN TRY EBAY.
DISGUSTED one now. Also my last email to you weeks ago never got a response. I am looking for a local consignment shop or will try THREADUP.
Hello Shirley,
We have received a significant amount of inbound shipments and are currently working to process those before accepting additional inbound shipments. At this time we have implemented a temporary suspension of inbounds until we can complete our backlog. At the current time, we do not have an ETA as to when we will be accepting new shipments, however we will communicate that as soon as we know. Our company has gone through some realignment, however we continue to add thousands of items to our site daily, and look forward to continued partnerships with our buyers and sellers.
I have ordered many items from Swap.com and love this store. The clothes are in great shape, cute and neatly packaged. I would highly recommend buying from swap.com
Sandra
I love this site it makes my life so much easier. You can get so much more here instead of going to the store and buying stuff. Plus its much easier than taking a toddler to the store.
Am very happy and pleased with the outfits that I found for my kids this Easter and very affordable. I will be coming back again and shop more in this drift store on line in the near future
swap.Com is a reliable source for shopping for used children's clothing! I always know that I can trust that what I receive will be in good condition and just what was described!
Answer: I have only placed one order so far. I ordered 10 blouses. I returned 5, due to size issues. All 10 blouses were nice, but 5 did not fit quite right due to different manufacturer's. You need to get an RMA # for returns. I was promptly refunded my money for the 5 blouses. I would order again in the future. I am not aware of any return quantity restrictions. Hope this helps.
Answer: If you want to sell clothes, all the information is on their website. Basically, they get a percentage and then they pay you thru an existing PayPal account that you set up.
Answer: Hi Patricia, We are on about a 55-60 day delay in processing inbound shipments. When your items are processed, you will be notified via email that they are ready to be priced. Have you sent an email to our support team at assistance@swap.com yet? A member of our team can look up your account information and give you a better idea of exact when you can expect to see your items. Thank you, Lauren Swap.com Support Manager
Answer: Same here, I sent a box in June and have received nothing nothing saying it was accepted or rejected absolutely nothing. I've sent 5 emails and nothing. I will be contacting the better business bureau as well.
Answer: I don't think so. I've sold and from my experience it varies. The things that I thought would sell first, haven't sold yet. It varies by what people are looking for at the time. I've bought all different seasons at random times. I buy by what's a great deal. When selling, group like items together. I've noticed multiple things sell first.
Answer: Hi Jo, That is correct. You can return items that do not fit as long as you request the return within 30 days. We will send you a pre-paid UPS shipping label to send back your return free of charge. Once the return is received, we will refund your card within five (5) business days. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at assistance@swap.com. We are happy to help! Best, Matt
Answer: There's no way for them to go over prices. They have to see the items and determine from going over it, if it's acceptable, once it's accepted, then you have to determine the price you want to sell it for. You could try searching on their site for similar items and see what they are priced at. I did notice when pricing my items that I'd get a little notice with recommended prices, which was very helpful. I didn't have a good experience selling but many others have. Make sure you take pictures of your items, that's very important. I appreciated that their site is set up to allow you to take back your items if you changed your mind about selling them. I'm in the process of getting back my items. Hopefully it works out well and I get all my items back.
