22 days after placed order

Can't get through to 888 nbr, no valued reply from email. Order just shows unfulfilled. Policy says even with high volume should take no more than 14 days. I thought illegal to take money until shipped, however money taken and nothing. So disappointed, still want products, just need info of when to expect. Even if after 1st of year.

This is my first time ordering product from Stein mart. I bought a quilt/ coverlet from Stein Mart and just receive it today. I'm shocked! It was used, tag was cut and it's been washed and dried so it's shrunk a bit.
There's very strong fabrics softener and a bit of bleach stain. I can't believe they would send this to customer without doing any product quality control! We're at pandemic time and who knows where that blanket has been? Gross! And they want me to return it to ups and probably send it to other customer! I hope they just throw it away.

They were having a buy one, get one 50% off. I ordered several sets of the same bowls. 2 hours after I submitted my order I received an email informing me 4 of the bowl sets were sold out. They refunded me the 50% off price for each set and gave me no discount on the remainder of my order. I would not have knowingly purchased these full priced. They bait and switched after they had my $. I sent an email requesting the entire order be cancelled. I was told that they can't, it's already shipped. Really? After 2 hours in the middle of the night? Interestingly, those bowls are still available on the website

I go here once a year for my wife at Christmas, since it *WAS* her favorite store. It was bad enough that I waited 5-10 minutes for 2 cashiers to each work on one customer! They are so slow at the Huntington Beach CA store, always, every year. When I got to the counter, the rude cashier said that if I was 55 or over that I could get a discount! I'm only 52 and normally people guess 10 years younger! I told her in a normal voice (some how holding back) that I am offended and that was the rudest thing anyone has ever said to me my whole life. It ruined my day and I will have my wife return what I purchased since I would not trust myself to be civil if I see her again. I will never step into a Stein Mart, will not accept anything bought there and I'll strongly urge my wife to also do the same, though it will be her choice. Thanks SM for making my worst Christmas ever! WTF

Thank goodness this rotten business is gone for good. And tough luck to the idiots who worked there. They deserve to go straight to hell for the way the treat people. They ship damaged goods and make it impossible to return, all with the help of their fellow banksters. What a total fraud these international group of bankers are!

A very bad experience from Stein Mart and no one at the corporate level would take ownership and responsibility for sending me used shoes. I would not recommend ordering anything from Stein Mart! What's on the website may not be what you receive.

I bought 4 items from Steinmart.com, believing that I could return them at my local store. One of the items was unavailable, but they charged me when I placed the order (and not when shipped, like EVERY OTHER online retailer that I have ever dealt with in the last 20 years), and later gave me an in-store/online credit for the item they never provided to me. I gave them cash, they gave me an I. O. U. What-the-what is that? Then when I had to return the other 3 items, because of poor fit, their policy is to give me another I. O. U. I tried to return those items to my local store, which I discovered had recently closed down, so I had to pay for shipping them back. I am SO disappointed in Steinmart, and could never recommend them. In these days of online shopping, it is the return policy that makes all the difference. Do read it before buying from any retailer! My fault for not doing this.

I'm not aware of any other store that has a policy where you cannot return the merchandise and get it put back on your card. It has to be store credit only. Ok, so I don't want that? It wasn't disclosed before or at checkout. Not only that, I have to call or email and request a label and I need to have all tags and packaging? How am I supposed to reuse a flimsy polybag that tore so easily in transit to me? That's crazy!

Not to mention why your site says free returns when you have to pay some kind of processing fee and shipping. I never shop at Stein Mart and $130 just to try on a freaking dress is a steep price to pay for this lesson. I guess I'll have to do like other people and just go through my card issuer because they won't help.

Do not order from the Stein mart site. It is a fraud. I placed the order, my card was charged over $250 and 4 months later, I have received nothing. They do not answer their email inquiries and their phone is disconnected.

Murfreesboro TN store "manager" accosted me in the store for not wearing a mask! She ripped the clothes from my arms, hit my arm in the process, screaming and yelling. The police were called and a report has been filed. Terrible employee!

As an avid Steinmart shopper i can only say Do Not Shop at the on line store. I have been dealing with a return for several months. Reaching customer service took several calls. When i finally got a person to talk to i was asked question, after question and then told i would get a gift card for my return if they approved it upon receipt of the item. I was on the phone for about 40 minutes answering questions about why i didnt like the color of the dress... was it not the same color in the picture... i was made to feel like it was my fault i bought the item. After about a month i contacted them again by email and insisted i get my money back. They finally agreed so i sent it back at my cost. Of course, i was not surprised to get an electronic gift card for their store instead of a refund. I have asked them again via email to refund my money but it has been several days. No word. This is not the SteinMart we loved. Dont shop here,

I have been shopping at SteinMart for awhile. The accessory department used to be so organized and clean but the last few weeks that I have shopped there it has been a mess. I want it to be like to used to be, I don't know what happened to it but it seems like there is someone new working in that area and they don't know what they are doing. I'm not going to shop there if this continues. And I will be sure to let my friends know this too. Please train your associate better.

Stein Mart SUCKS BIG TIME

I bought a bag from Merchant name is
STEINMART and returned because it wasn't the right size. I paid $ $61.82 and received $ $45.80 Refund. When I call to inquire about the difference, they say I had to pay for return delivery and they claim they can't return the taxes you paid. This is BS. Stay away from these assho;*les. You can buy the same bag in many stores for the fraction of what they charge (Burlington, etc). Stay away from these crooks.

I have tried ordering from them online. Shipments come from all over the country and take two weeks. They say 3 to 5 days. Now a package is lost and I have asked for a refund 3 times. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

Return Trauma
October 15, 2019

I am a disabled, mid eighty year old guy. On Oct 11,2019 at 4:40 PM I purchased, using my Stein Mart Credit Card, a box of packeged MK mens underware # *******, size M. When I got home, I realized that I should have purchased size L. On October 15,2019, I returned to the store to exchange the underware for the correct size. I was told by the cashier at the front entrance that I would have to go to the far left corner to pick up a box of the correct size and then take both boxes to the desk at the far right rear corner of the store. I explained to her that I could not walk that far, and would she please take care of the matter. She was very unpleasant and told me that was the rule. Finally she called another person who did the paper work. The cashier then told me that she was making an exception for me, but to never do that again. I assured here that I would never do it again, as I would never enter a Stein Mart again. This is a shamefull way to treat any customer, not just me.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE... DO NOT BUY FROM STEINMART ONLINE.
I bought 2 night stands and 1 was damaged in several places and they tried to repair it. For 3 weeks I have been trying to et this resolved. They said they sent me a shipping label, they did not. Then they told me store credit... No I will not buy from them again. Now to dispute this with my bank.

#NincompoopUpdate: Poor Customer Service/Pr After the *******@Stein Mart corporate customer service. I have purchased 4 sport coats over the spring and summer. I needed three of your Stein Mart plastic bags with your logo on it to keep the sport coats fresh in my closet. The clerks at the Lakewood store told me they can't give those bags away I should buy something else to get a bag. This attitude should be filed under needs employee training for a nincompoop update... Stein Mart has a huge advertising budget to endear the community, and when an existing customer asks for a $0.02 trash bag with "STIEN MART" printed on it you treat them this way?

I'm highly offended at the stupidity of your employees and feel I'm being discriminated against due to being a senior citizen.

I suggest these employees get some "sensitivity training" because public relations is a concept that's way over their head.

Purchased a purse online because I fell in love with the one my daughter bought at a Stein Mart in another city. I received the purse promptly. But, it arrived in a plastic sleeve parcel bag. The purse was folded over to fit in the bag - crushing the form of the bag and the leather product. Based on the packaging the postal service rolled it and placed it in my mailbox. It looks like it had been used and came from a thrift store.
I called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. It could be returned to my local store or I could pay to ship it back to them. Unbelievable!

In mid-April 2021 ordered 3 pairs of women's slacks. I have been sent messages that they were delivered, were not delivered, are enroute, are out of stock. Was notified had been shipped and were out of stock on the same day. Refuse to return my money (it's now mid June). Got "delivery confirmation" to someplace in Ohio (I have never lived in Ohio). Steinmart now takes the position that I need to find out who gave "the shipper" an Ohio address. Does Customer Service REALLY think I would order merchandise to be sent to a stranger? Steinmart has NO idea how the package ended up being delivered in Ohio. Sarcastically- I DIDN'T ADDRESS THE PACKAGE; THEY DID.
