Was in the Fort Kinnaird Edinburgh store and can, t praise Garry enough, he was so helpful and went out of his way to make sure I was happy, please make sure he knows how much I appreciated his care and attention thank you again, *******@gmail.com
So angry with sports direct! After a month of calling and emailing customer service and even getting in contact with the management I finally received the bike i orderd just to find out that the thing was 1.) Clearly not brand new it has marks all over the frame and 2.) the front wheel ain't even for the bike i ordered. There customer service is a bloody joke there not helpfull at all and at time even rude and ignorant it's funny how it took so long for the bike two come yet when I just rung them they are sending people to collect it on Wednesday! It's absolutely disgusting! Will never be using then again
Waited 8 days for a parcel. After numerous emails with them failing to reply I telephoned them today and it appears to be lost. They blamed the courier but they had never passed the parcel onto the courier. Up to 5 days for a refund or wait another week for them to send out again. No thank you I will take my money elsewhere!
The only way to post this review is to click on a star. They don't deserve any stars.
Sports Direct owe me thirty six pounds and they are refusing to give me a refund.
I have just read ninety two reviews and ninety customers are unhappy or angry with sports direct. Why is this company being allowed to stay in business? I should have read these reviews before I purchased from them. If I had I would never have stepped into the store. They have met their match with me and I won't stop until I get my refund. Sports Direct "You are a disgrace"
Very poor online shopping experience. Customer Service (CS) does not exist in this company. If you are placing and order online and if anything goes wrong with the order (even if its not your fault) - don't even waste your time contacting customer service via email or phone. Without a doubt worst shopping experience I have had over years. Placed an order nearly for £100, only to find out that couple of items I requested were out of stock (even through website was showing them available so not my fault if website was not updated). Hence as a result I wanted to cancel my order to avoid items being shipped to me only for them to be returned back. Tried multiple emails to CS team, no reply. Tried calling them, after over half an hour wait on premium number, finally got to a CS agent who believe it or not didn't even listen to my issue fully and hung up on me and at the ended up the order which I didn't really want and only way is to post them back which will cost me arm and a leg.
So in a nutshell poor very poor experience. Word of advice for others:
- be absolutely sure when you placing order as order amendments will never work in this company,
- even the website shows available, don't have high hopes as their website is not reflecting the actual items whether if they are or aren't in stock,
- Even if sports direct messes the order up from their side, definitely don't hold your breath in getting any sort response form their CS team via email.
- Even if you find their number - don't waste your time and money calling their CS premium number. After waiting for ages in the queue, they have tendency to just dis-connect the call when you are talking to them.
Though can be good bargains on the website - but after-sales and customer service is not even quality of a 3rd/4th/5th or even 6th world retailer. Piss poor.
I paid for an order last year, had to cancel due to the delivery for xmas not until 23/01/16. I went down to their shop down the road & bought extra goods for my son, im still waiting on my refund for over a month. Have phoned, emailed with no success can I get my money put back into my account or wil have to take this further.

If I keep posting this someone will eventually deal with my complaint, won't they?
You can't even shame them in to action. They get so much negative feedback that they just ignore it, like water off a duck's back!
I returned some faulty golf shoes and socks to Sports Direct.
They wouldn't replace them. They said they were out of stock although they're still showing on their website. I presume that it is because the shoes have increased in price since I bought them.
They replaced the part that was paid by a gift voucher with another voucher.
They haven't refunded the balance, which was paid with a Credit Card that I no longer use.
They completely ignore repeated emails about the balance due to me.
I wouldn't deal with them again, you can decide for yourselves
So I ordered some children's Christmas presents - 13th December, they were still advertising purchases for Christmas. Chased it and was told going out that day or next. Chased it again to be told just received, would deal asap (so completely different) chased it again 2 days before to be told not dealt with and not likely to get for Christmas. Too late to order replacement. Do yourself a favour, pay a bit more and get a company that has some interest in you as a consumer, doesn't lie to you and gives you better than one line answers. Shame there isn't a zero stars option...
I ordered a bike to be delivered to my home Fri 16th couldn't track as no tracking number till later on in the day when after several calls to customer service and being told "we are experiencing a high number of calls please call back later" and then disconnecting then I sent an email and got the training number and lo and behold the bike was in the wrong depot and had been for 36hrs before it went back to where it started. 9pm office closed so this morning I am on redial from 8.50 and I finally get someone to talk to who is about as much help as tooth ache all she can tell me is that it may be delivered Tue or Wednesday but an hour after it is now "with customers local depot" and guess what I get through to customer service again to be told it will be delivered today WE WILL SEE an official complaint is already in who will take a bet on whether i get any response?
Definitely my number one website! I ordered once wrong size of a shirt but from then I always scroll to the comments below and see other people opinions :)
If you have extra money and you like to loose them by buying from Sports Direct then probably you get most items at the wrong side.
If then you want to contact their customer care service, you will find that frustrating and 99.9% they would not give any sollution.
Very strong seller protection policy, buyer protection policy does not exist at their e-shop.
If you have extra money and just want to burn them buy from this company. I made a purchase 2 months ago and got nothing yet. I only got a negative amount of money in my bank account
Superb range of all sorts of ladies, gents and kids clothing and accessories at great prices and speedy delivery too.
This has to be the most Horrible place to work for, from all my jobs i have never seen worse. For a start all the safety equipment and procedures are out of order at the preston fishergate store, they are ungrateful for the amount of work you do and also are very unhelpful, when i asked for help i was told to get on with it and serve customers because we are ment to leech of them as told by liz the manager (short with dark hair and a ugly 2 faced personality) also the fire exits were blocked and the staff room had leaks which they didnt bother fixing. I have seen staff (david riley cocky little $#*!stain) talking to customers in an awful manner and being rude towards them. Definately would advise to stay clear of this $#*!hole as its a site of hell.
I am dressing myself for casual and training for about two years. There is many things to buy there and I don't regret single penny that I spend on SD :)
Sports Direct staff are making it impossible for me to return purchased goods that are not fit for purpose. According to Consumer Rights Act 2015 I have a right to request repair or replacement of faulty goods and goods not fit for purpose within 6 months from purchase. After four months I took my purchase to my nearest store with the aim of getting a replacement or refund. The manager was not there and staff told me that after 28 days from date of purchase i have no rights. This is incorrect so I contacted Sports Direct Customer Services via an online form. A member of Customer Service team advised me to email photos of faulty items and proof of purchase, which I did. I then had to wait almost two weeks for reply, which advised me to take the goods to a store and speak to a manager. I went back to my nearest store, manager again was not there and member of staff repeated that after 28 days from date of purchase I have no rights. I emailed Customer Services who replied that I should post the goods with Royal Mail recorded delivery. Even though I as a customer should not loose out financially when returning faulty goods Sports Direct did not state that they will cover postage. Their response is designed to put customers off from returning bad quality goods. Staff provide misleading information about consumer rights. I would not recommend shopping at Sports Direct!
PURCHASED A PAIR OF SKETCHERS, ONLY WORN 4 TIMES, ALREADY SEAMS STARTING TO FADE, WENT BACK TO SELLY OAK SUPER STORE, MANAGER MR MELCOM UPTON REFUSED TO EXCHANGE OR REFUND, ANY ADVISE PLEASE.
Love this place, great prices & delivery to Ireland within a couple of days. Email updates on delivery progress makes it all easier & a pleasure to shop here.
The worst ever customer service I have ever received!
My son needed new astro boots, i tried 4 of your local stores to get him some but none of them had the ones he wanted in his size so i ordered them online.
We were unsure which size to order 8 or 8.5 in the mens astros so i ordered both for him to try. I had them delivered to store.
My son tried on both pairs in store and went for the bigger size, good job i ordered both as all his other shoes/trainers are an 7.5 or an 8. I tried to return them at this point at the store to be told that i could only get an exchange or credit note in store to receive a refund i had to send them back and pay the postage myself. This is disgusting. Sports direct are a huge company and if i pay to have items delivered to store i should be able to return them and get a refund like other chain stores.
I returned the astro boots, paying about £3 for this and was waiting for a full refund of £23 to my card.
Today i received a £10 gift voucher. I did not want a voucher i wanted the refund to my card. I spent £73.48 online. My son used a £10 gift voucher that he got for his birthday to pay towards one of the spurs shirts. So i paid 63.48 on my card. Any other company would firstly let me return the botts to store when i had them delivered there but also give me the full refund to my card!
I had email conversations with sports direct before returning the boots not once did they say i would receive a voucher. I paid to return them so i would get the full refund to my card. I can not afford to not get this money back. Had i known this i would of kept them and sold them to a friend or online.
I am extremely unhappy and stressed about this. As a family that counts every penny this is going to really make paying my credit card bill hard next month, we will have to cut back else where now, how do sports direct suggest i do that?
The astro boots were for my son for PE, one spurs shirt was for my sons bday next month and the other was bought by my older son with bday money and the voucher so we weren't spoiling our children.
Why would i want a voucher for a store i never want to shop with ever again?
Sports direct you have lost a loyal customer.

Answer: Stores in the USA selling hiking boots usually have thick socks for customers to put on before trying boots. If this store does not, it would be wise to wear the socks you plan to use with the boots when trying them on. Caveat emptor
Answer: On the issue of not refunding the purchase price, is that common policy for retailers in the UK? I'm surprised there isn't a government agency for consumer protection that looks into / bans this.
