Don't waste your hard earned money with this company... it took from the 4th of March to the 30th April to get my refund... i had to call in force... never again i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy what sports direct put be through
Customer care is disgusting. Sending a mail they try to get away with it, sending a wrong slipper and they did not refund me for the postage. Everyone makes mistakes but yes they stole the postage money from my husband. I have tried several times to show them pictures to no avail. I have tried to call them again to no avail. Pawley is really unprofessional. He did not dig into the matter. Do not trust them. Shame on sports direct, shame on customer care personnel Pawley. The postage refund never arrived
I only wish I could give this company no stars! U looked for an item online which showed as in stock. Other similar items were out of stock, so I went for the more expensive item instead, just because it said it was in stock. Later I got an email stating the item was out of stock after all! Subsequently my bank is holding over £450 for Sports Direct until the charge 'drops off', thus I can't use this money to purchase a similar item from another company! I'm furious with them!
I bought a pair of trainers size 39 but they were far too small so, I sent them back and ordered the next size up. SD decided to send me the size 42 which is not the next. These were far too big, so I sent them back recorded delivery. Despite the tracking number saying what day, time and WHO signed for the item, SD are refusing to refund my money and I keep getting automated responses to contact my courier. Royal Mail will not refund an item that has been signed for at the delivery address so I have lost my money. I will never buy anything from SD ever again and I advise you to heed the warning.
For anyone interested, the Royal Mail tracking number in NJ*******GB
VERY BAD!
At the Sports Direct store, I bought Lonsdale shoes. They sent them to me by post to Ukraine. On the first day of wearing, the top of the shoes cracked. They refused to refund me money for shipping those shoes. But it is not my fault that Lonsdale sneakers are of poor quality!
They sent me wrong and cheaper trainers and here the answer:
Thank you for your email.
After checking with respective department, it appears the correct item has been received as ordered. Please be informed that this is a mix up stocks where the item style may be different from the images advertised and a disclaimer note has been added on our web.
I would give it negative stars if it was an option.
How can the UK standards allow a PLC company which claims to be big and have won retailer awards run without and customer service helpline.
Telephone helpline does not exist - appalling
Ordered treadmill and it arrived broken.
Have contacted CS (email option only) and have been advised they will contact the manufacturer.
Why contact manufacturer? Item is faulty and its either replace with a new one or a refund.
Have asked them for a replacement or refund and no reply since.
Waiting for 6 days now for a reply but nothing.
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
Will never ever again buy from this place - even if they are giving away things for a penny.
Ordered Nike "FUNDAMENTAL" training gloves online, but unfortunately I received the wrong pair (Nike "ESSENTIAL" gloves), so I popped over to my local Sportsdirect store to return item.
The store personnel who handled my query even agreed that the wrong item was sent to me, so therefore we (Sportsdirect.com) need to update the pictures and description of the item on our website as it is definitely misleading customers.
Another member of staff also informed me that the Nike "Fundamental" Training Gloves have now been replaced by the Nike "Essential" Training Gloves? Therefore had I known the "Fundamental" version has been replaced by the "Essential" range, I definitely wouldn't have gone ahead with the purchase (common sense), hence saving myself the inconvenience.
It gets worse...
The total amount of my order was £14.98 (Incl. £4.99 delivery), so I paid £9.98 via PayPal Including a £5 gift card.
To add insult to injury, Sportsdirect have refunded me £4.99 via PayPal and emailed a £5 voucher!
Seeing they sent me the wrong item in the first place, Sportsdirect should at least have some efin courtesy to refund me in the same manner I originally paid (£9.98 via PayPal and £5 gift card).
Disappointing customer service... Definitely won't be ordering from there again and will be warning family and friends too!
Update: Since lodging my complaint, I have received NO response or email from Sportsdirect.com?!
My son ordered a top and was send a different style but same brand. Contacted customer services which stated if read styles may vary but clearly you are wanting to buy what you are seeing. They did say could be returned at own cost shocking service do not buy from them as clearly can send what they want. See photos. AVOID
Dear sports direct,
I have a suggestion to make. That you will put a sign by the tills in a bold that states that you ONLY provide exchange or credit note and NO refund given.
As at this point I feel tricked that now you have an item that doesn't suit me back as well as my money and I ended up with credit note. You are probably in a secret hope that this credit note will be misplaced or ink disappear over two years so you will end up having an item as well as the money paid for it.
I'm delighted that my statutory rights are not affected, however, it would be fantastic to know that I won't get refund prior making the purchase not after reading it at the back of the till receipt.
Why can you not put zero stars? They do not deserve 1 star.
The customer i have recieved from these over the last week or so is a joke! I ordered over £200 worth of items from these nearly 3 weeks ago, i received an email stating that it had been delivered and left in a secure place i came home to find the parcel no there, i was sent a picture as to where the pictire was left and its so blurry that you cant even see the parcel. I have since then been emailing them for the last 2 weeks trying to find out where my parcel is. I have now been sent a form to complete which now states that the parcel was signed for by someone at the delivery address, which cannot be as there was nobody home at the stated the parcel was delivered. What's so frustrating is that you cannot call or contact them via phone or in store to actually talk to somebody in person you have to wait fod knows how long for a reply. They have sent this form to be completed which i now have to go out of my way to print off to be able to send back to them i find This appalling!
I wouldnt mind but its over £200 worth of stuff and its for my sons birthday!
Very very P*ssed off with this whole situation and the way it is being dealt with.
I will not be ordering online from sports direct in the future!
My son ordered a pair of trainers online. Got an email from Hermes stating the order had been delivered but was no where to be seen. Someone has signed for the trainers but it wasn't my son. I managed to eventually get hold of sports direct online chat and they have told me they are very confident the trainers have been delivered as the driver insists they were, case closed. After numerous emails to them to explain that my son still hasn't received the trainers he paid them for they have just ignored me. They refuse to help or even locate the missing package. My son is £73 out of pocket. This is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with but sure it wont be long before they go out of business.
If I could give 0 stars they would get -10.
Sends things in the wrong size than the order. Things are missing from the package.
Customer service is a disaster, announces a good incompetence. Do not respond to questions, instead refer to a lot of junk that is completely irrelevant in the matter.
Will write a comment daily until they close in or become customer friendly. Also, pay a little more in a regular store and get things that fit, or you can send back things and stand there without money.
Joking company!
If I could give no stars I would
Dreadful awful awful company
I ordered a next day delivery to arrive last Friday - nothing arrived and I received confirmation from the courier that the parcel was damaged and returned to supplier.
I am unable to phone Sports direct as no number and am reliant on emailing or social media
I have literally had 2 responses saying it is under investigation - What investigation - courier said its not delivered - end of. This should be a simple case of resending the goods or refunding my money
To date -
I have no goods, they will not give me my money back and they have blocked me from messaging them via facebook and blocked any commenting. Nothing I posted was rude or a lie - yet they obviously have something to hide
A quick look on their facebook page shows many many unhappy customers - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
They are underhand with absolutely no thought or care for their customers at all
I just received my order and to my surprise two of the items are completely different color. I contacted them and refused to exchange the faulty items! Really bad aftersale treatment of a customer.
Never again buy from them! Completely dissappointed.
I would avoid buying from them, if you live outside the UK
High shipping cost - 14 GBP for me to ship to Malta + they don't have an updated stock online.
So the story is - I ordered 2 pairs of shoes and some basics to justify the high shipping cost, but both pairs were "Temporarily out of stock". So they cancelled the shoes and shipped the rest of the products. They didnt ask me if I want to wait for the shoes or cancel my order. I would have personally cancelled the order, because I only bought these extra stuff because of the shoes.
So keep in mind if you want to buy something high value from their website, it might be out of stock and you could be stuck with 20 GBP socks (6 GBP for socks, 14 for delivery)
They sent the wrong size shoes and refuse to replace them. I will never deal with them again. Ordered size 45 and they sent 44.5 changing the label to suit the order.
Absolutely disgusting customer service! Bought a pair of trainers yesterday and they dont fit, advisor said they would stretch but on getting home they are just too small, dont do my size and dont have anything else i want, asked for a refund and was told no and its not my problem by stuart the manager in milton keynes
WORST company EVER! Knock off name brands, weird sized clothing and they refuse to give you a return/credit or exchange. Customer service is HORRIBLE and no help what so ever! DON'T DO IT! Don't waste your time or money! Very disgusted with this company! I wish I could give ZERO stars.
Wish I could post a negative rating! Ordered some badminton shoes back in March, gave them a very reasonable amount of time to deliver given that international post can take longer. After 6 weeks I got in touch with the courier to see what was going on and a couple of weeks after that they confirmed that the parcel was lost in transit, and to contact SportsDirect for a full refund. There appears to be only one person in customer service, Kaylee, who may as be a robot since she appears to just copy and paste into an email from a standard list of responses. She kept insisting that it could not be investigated as it was more than 30 days, despite having received confirmation from the courier that the item was lost in transit. This company is robbing from customers, stealing their money and not taking any responsibility for ensuring that the customer actually receives the goods! Will never be shopping with them again, and about to start legal action through the Small Claims Court... nightmare!
Answer: Stores in the USA selling hiking boots usually have thick socks for customers to put on before trying boots. If this store does not, it would be wise to wear the socks you plan to use with the boots when trying them on. Caveat emptor
Answer: On the issue of not refunding the purchase price, is that common policy for retailers in the UK? I'm surprised there isn't a government agency for consumer protection that looks into / bans this.
