  • Tefal UK

11/25/20

I bought a Tefal XL Optigrill in July 2018 and arrived in August 2018. It was used once per week at most, and more often more like once per month.
In July 2020 the machine started belting out smoke every time it was turned on. Everything was taken apart, cleaned of grease (not that there was much there) and put back together, but the smoke continued.
In August I got round to contacting Tefal. TWO months later they got back to me. At that point the item was in the local recycling centre. My wife (who is the only one who feels the need to have this item in our home) asked me to order a new one.
I then received communication from Tefal looking for the receipts... which I sent to them. Shockingly, they said they could do nothing about it as the warranty exceeded the two years by one week (from when I received it to when I contacted Tefal). They offered for me to post it to a local maintenance centre (on my own dime, which would have cost £30 one way, as the nearest maintenance centre is 300 miles away, in what is 'technically' a different country).
I advised that this was ridiculous, as I'd have to pay for the return post of another £30+ and the cost of parts and repair) and the fact it took them TWO MONTHS to get back to me, meant that I no longer had the appliance anyway! I was and still am irate about their petty decision that one week outside the warranty nullified it. I'm also irate about how long it took for anyone to communicate with me.
To add insult to injury, they offered me 25% off any other item should I buy a Tefal appliance.
I will only ever buy an appliance from any other manufacturer in the future!
Shame on you Tefal... shame on you!

  • Plumbworld UK

8/15/20

Needed a replacement pumped shower. Plumbworld had it cheaper than everyone else. The dispatched it quickly and communicated this promptly. Unfortunately the courier didn't deliver this until 8.30pm on a Friday night, which I wasn't happy about, but this was not their fault!

  • SportsDirect

3/27/20

I only wish I could give this company no stars! U looked for an item online which showed as in stock. Other similar items were out of stock, so I went for the more expensive item instead, just because it said it was in stock. Later I got an email stating the item was out of stock after all! Subsequently my bank is holding over £450 for Sports Direct until the charge 'drops off', thus I can't use this money to purchase a similar item from another company! I'm furious with them!

  • QVC UK

2/2/20

Why does this site allow 1 star as opposed to minus ratings, as this is what I would give the liars at QVC!
I have made multiple purchases in the past, paying ridiculous P&P...2 items of different colours, but they still charge 2 full P&P costs...but if they're the same colour they discount it...but that's not my problem (this time)!
I placed an order for 4 items. All were in stock when I placed the order, and nothing went out of stock until more than 15 minutes after I ordered them. I checked why 2 of the items hadn't arrived today, and was told they were 'wait listed', as I hadn't ordered in time...which is an utter, utter lie! This has destroyed a Christmas event my family and I had set up!
On top of this, QVC has been flogging their lies on Topcashback too. They did this by saying that if when using TCB I could earn a percentage back. They have refused to pay about 10+12 orders placed via TCB this year alone!
Unfortunately I have some payments left to pay to them or I would have told them where to go today...but am looking forward to the time I can tell them to 'sod off!'

Tip for consumers:
Look around anywhere and everywhere else. This company gets two stars on Trust pilot for a reason!!

Products used:
None ...too late to replace!!

  • Complete Care Shop

9/9/19

I placed a third order with completecareshop.co.uk again on 9/8/19. I got a message stating my order was being processed and they'd let me know when it's dispatched... I got this email today 7/9/19 with no communication in between. This is the 2nd of 3 orders where it has taken weeks to supply the item ordered. If/when the site doesn't have the items, it should state this on the site as opposed to take my money and hold onto it for weeks without filling the order! Two orders out of three is appalling, thus I'd urge potent customers to look elsewhere!

  • Poundstretcher

9/5/19

I used Poundstretcher for the first time in years at the weekend... and it will be years before I return. There were very limited bargains, but the worst thing was the wait to be served. I was in the queue for 10-15 minutes to buy one item (the only reason I was there was to avoid a longer journey to another store). When I brought the item home (white silicon) the item was extremely runny and halfway between white and clear, this not very nice or good. I have since thrown it out and gone to another store for a better/more appropriate product, but also a 2 minute entry and exit following payment.

  • McDonald's UK

9/5/19

I've used the Strand Rd McDonald's in Derry City numerous times in the past, but will never, ever darken their door (or drive thru window) again, and if my wife ever does, I'll divorce her (lol).
Time after time after time, I've gotten wrong orders, missing items cold food, poor service, staff with limited knowledge and less concerns about customer satisfaction.
The last time I used the drive thru, I had to get out of my car twice for items missed in my order and to advise that items I did get, had wrong ingredients upon them. My food was literally soaked with rain as it was so heavy, but my food wasn't ready, so I had to park and wait under the elements (not in shelter). By the time I'd returned home, the food was cold and wet, to the point my family and I couldn't eat it. I asked to speak to manager at the restaurant while there, but was told they weren't available. I phoned for 10 minutes solid (re-ringing when I was cut off) but got no reply
Please do yourself a favour, stay away from this site!

  • Ebuyer

5/7/19

Horrendous! I placed an order for a Transcend wiring loom for a dashcam. I received a wireless mouse wit details of a completely different customer inside. I contacted customer service and asked for a replacement as I had booked my car in to have loom fitted costing a non-refundable £30 charge. I was told that they had to investigate what had happened before they would send a replacement. I advised them that without the replacement, I'd be charged £30. Again, I was told they'd have to investigate before sending me a replacement. I advised them that I would return the item and they could track the parcel, showing them it was being returned. In the meantime they could send my product... again, no replacement until the investigation was carried out! Meantime, my wiring loom PLUS my personal information was sent to God know whom! The other customer was the privy to my personal data and customer details etc. Ebuyer were awful about this. They told me to keep the mouse. I've no need for a wireless mouse! I do have need of £30 which was charged for my non-attendance to my appointment. In the end I cancelled the replacement as it would get to me 2-3 weeks after I needed it. I can send things to America and Australia quicker than that. Ebuyer seemed to care very little about my information being sent out as they were for another person's details coming to me (I have the emails as proof). I had heard bad things on HotUKDeals.com about Ebuyer, but went ahead and used the site as it wasn't a non-descript seller on a site where things can be second hand, but sold as new/nearly new. I will never, ever darken the website for this company again. I would advise other buyers to read the sheer number of negative reviews on Trustpilot among other review sites before purchasing from them, and take your chances. I'm still waiting to hear what has happened with my product, which was sent to someone else. Have they still got my details in the same way I was told to keep the item (and personal details of the customer). I'd also like you to know that Ebuyer sent a courier twice to get their item back without informing me that someone was coming to get it! Run Forrest, run!

Hi Kevin,

First of all I am very sorry to hear you were sent the incorrect item and this resulted in a personal loss of £30.

I am also very sorry to hear of the length of time it has taken to investigate and resolve this for you.

I would like to investigate this further to try and locate the root cause of this error and provide you an update on this.

Please can you email me your order number and I will be back in touch via email.

My email address is Cheryl@ebuyer.com.

Kind Regards,

Cheryl
