GREAT EXPERIENCE!

When I came upon this site to find a friend it gave me everything I needed. But, the cost was a little to high for me to budget in so I ended up canceling. But I would definitely recommend the site to my family and friends. It was easy to access and I didn't need to jump through so many hoops to find what I needed. Plus, the company rep. That I spoke with was a pleasure to deal with and there was no problem or hassle to cancel and everything went so smoothly. Again, GREAT SITE AND EXPERIENCE!

I just need to know that when I ask for references, I'm not being scammed. That is, I need to know that when someone gives me a phone number, it belongs to the person they tell me it belongs to. Spokeo does that quite well.

Need more information

I paid 99 cents for information, but in order to get more I would have the pay for a month's subscription. However when I cancelled, Carolina was helpful and wonderful.

When searching on a phone number on Google, I was directed to Spokeo. I paid $0.95 for a report and received no meaningful information about the name or owner of the phone number. I suspect this is a commercial fraud.

They will always tell you they have located the person and have info even when they can't. It's only after you pay, that you may be informed that no record was found. Plan to talk to customer service for a while to get them to cancel the subscription you never wanted and refund the payment.

Spokeo misrepresented findings of an unknown caller. When # was entered the search box indicated it had detailed information on the unknown number entered. Spokeo then asks that you provide debit card information. I did so, but the information listed as having been found... i. e. Name address location was NOT what was shown AFTER Spokeo received my payment information. Total bait and switch and is a scam.

THE WORST AND I LEARNED AND WILL NEVER WILL I RETURN!
Who is dumb? It is really me. Every year or so, I try this company again thanks to the remarketing they use on the internet. Always for at least the last 10 years, nothing has changed with this company. I feel as if this organization is nothing but a scam. You enter something you want to verify or look into, and the system leads you to believe that there is data available on this person.
The info is not up to date or doesn't exist. They mislead you if the information doesn't exist to make you pay for the report - then it comes up with no results! Then there is the issue of incorrect information for about 5-7 years my dead grandmother, and brother were never reported as deceased.

I purchased ONE phone number record search for $0.95, I did not want a membership and yet they used my financial information from that purchase to charge me $24.95 for a membership. I contacted them as soon as the charge hit my bank account to request a refund, and was told they would only give me $9.95 back, as they don't do refunds. They were able to see that I had used their service ONCE for a one time reverse phone number record search - they know what they did is wrong, but will not do the right thing. I am contacting the BBB in CA https://www.bbb.org/us/ca, the PUC https://www.cpuc.ca.gov/ and the Attorney Generals offices in CA https://oag.ca.gov/contact/consumer-complaint-against-business-or-company and in my state, and I encourage others to do this also as it's the only way to make them stop ripping us off. This is so wrong.

DO NOT USE SPOKEO!
I cannot BELIEVE just how HORRIBLE this site is! I paid $0.95 for them to research a phone number, of which, I already searched Google and had the name, city and state that it was registered to. What did they give me? Only the city and state came back! After they said they had ALL OF THIS INFORMATION on this number. They said they had the owners name, address, social media accounts, associates, family members, and more, but all they could tell me is that it was a landline in Alexandria, Va., which I knew going in. I really do t care about the $0.95, but just because they are SO BAD, I want my money back, and I'm going to get it.

I signed up to use this app and found that the info was a bit outdated. I canceled the trial and thought that was the end of it. To my surprise my bank was billed for another month. I thought about letting it go, but decided to write to customer service. I was shocked to the point of disbelief when I received a reply stating the funds would be returned to my account and the trial was canceled and I would not be billed again,, along with a sincere apogy for what happened. THREE days later the money was back in my account. If I need to search again, I will diffinitely try Spokeo again for the fact that they listened and responded
