Save your money. Total hoax.

Paid to find out name of company that keeps calling me. Spokeo listed that they had that information. I paid for it. They delivered nothing. The information they provided was the same freely obtained information I already had. They specifically showed a screen with the owners name greyed out. On the other side of the paywall was nothing.

Our company has been a user of Spokeo for 3 years.

We primarily used them to weed out spam calls on our corporate mobile devices and help with spam emails.

It seemed too good to be true, all this data at your fingertips, and it is too good to be true.

During the month of August, we did 30 searches, with 20 of those coming back undefinable with less than 3 bits of info.

The rest were mostly not current and accurate, at which time we opted to use a competitor.

They use the baseline plans to upcharge you for real data that most are looking for.

Don't bother with Spokeo with many other better companies out there such as Been Verified / Intellius. ( We switched to Been Verified)

Just what needed

I just needed an address and an email and it was given to me immediately. I called the number *******850 to check if I could really cancel within 7 days and not be charged the $24.95 and they said yes.

Helped me in my search for an alleged internet fraud team by giving me the location of one of one of the members via the phone number. When i did a latitude longitude search with metada embedded in an iPhone movie one member sent i realized that they were only an hour away from each other in the same state.

I read that others have likewise been charged $24.95 for a subscription that they did not want. When I notified Spokeo of that, I was told I would be refunded $9.95. I assume, based on their very poor ratings, that this is a common problem with this company.

Information is provided quickly but don't expect it to be100% accurate. Right now I am using 3 additional programs that offer the same service, more or less to compare the results. So far there is only one site that provides a little more information than the others and the price range is the same across the board. I've had no problems thus far, so no complaints here.

Don't waste your money

Spokeo leads you to believe there is more information available (name, location, etc) on a phone number you're investigating. So you pay the small. 95 fee. I imagine this company is making quite a bit of money charging lots of people $. 95 for nothing. Don't fall for it!

I did a reverse phone lookup and it guarantees thr owners name which it did not provide. This company clearly scams people do they can collect a dollar from millions of innocent people to line their pockets. You guys are horrible scammers!

Extremely misleading!

I would give NO stars as they are very dishonest only to get you to sign up for their membership. I conducted an email search and was provided with a blurred name and address. It would only be made visible if I paid, which I did. Only to be told no results were actually found!
