A lot of loss of picture and sound. Happens all the time. Bought a new tv and it still sucks. Have had them out to look at several times and it works for a short time them right back to the same old thing. I work everyday almost and dont have time to have them come and fix it every month. Do not get it unless you have no choice.

We got the Apple box and are very disappointed. You can not record, pause. Rewind or rewatch ANY of your programs. They also do not have a station my husband enjoys even though when we where going through the sign up with the staff member, they said we were able to get all of them. WASTE of $$$$

They sent my account to collections almost 5 ½ years after I paid my "final bill" without contacting me about any outstanding balance beforehand. When I called to inquire, they stated they didn't have any info on my acct because it was "too old" – they couldn't even provide me with the info they gave the Collections Agency a few months ago. Their solution? Have me pay my bill – even though the negative impact will remain on my credit for years to come!

LIARS
October 16, 2020

Spectrum LIARS and CROOKS. If I knew now what I didn't know then I would have never merged my services. I was lied to about channels, Installation, and pricing. I have been with bright house/Spectrum for many years when my son wanted higher speed internet service. I was told i was under bright house and had to merge services. I told them repeatedly I did not want to loose channels and asked what my pricing would be as well as installation. I was assured i would not loose channels and in fact I would get more. That was a big LIE. I was told installation would be the same and another LIE. I was told my price would go from $198 to $212 and yet another LIE. I lost more than 50 channels, i went from 1 to 2 devices for internet, and my bill went from $198 to $227. Of course iI cant go back now but what a shame they choose to lie to customers to make more money. All I can say is LIARS AND CROOKS and I am now looking into new provider. I should also mention I was locked out of my email with no solution from tech support. I would recommend you stay far away from spectrum and find alternatives like myself and maybe if they lose enough customers they will stop lying to customers and become a better company.

Worst choice ever.
October 10, 2020

When switching my electric over to my new place AEP informed me they can get quotes from cable companies. So I got a quote for spectrum (just a quote). They ended up sending me a cable box that I never wanted. After battling with customer service for a month and being hung up on I finally spoke to somebody that put me in the right direction. I returned all the equipment and told it was going to be nothing to be paid on my end. And with family members dealing with the issue before I specifically asked if they were able to either note send or email something stating that there was an issue. But it was resolved and I was not at fault. I was told yes that there would be no issues and that they could do that for me. Two months later I am receiving bills and after calling customer service once again. I am being told that due to their customer service in store representatives not correctly doing their job nor putting notes in the system that I have to pay for the mistake. Absolutely ridiculous inconvenient and definitely a waste of time. They are definitely unprofessional especially in the customer service department. Definitely don't recommend using them as a cable company. Customers shouldn't be faulted for employees mistakes.

First of all, I was a happy customer when living in Porter Ranch. Internet wasn't fast, but TV was good. I moved to Sherman Oaks which they botched. Ok, no choice here for Internet. Spectrum or 3 mbs max. So, I stay with them for 8 months with terrible cable TV service. The picture pixilation (Picture breaking up) made it almost impossible to finish a movie. Nothing worse than half way through a flic & BOOM the pic & audio breaks up continuously. They were out here 6 times. Replaced the cable from the pole, replaced all splitters, gave me a signal booster. NOTHING worked. I was also getting error messages out of the blue, that made no sense. They said these are "known Issues" that have been turned over to their engineers. After 8 months I got Sat TV (works great) keeping Internet & Mobile both of which work fine. The kicker in the entire bad situation is THEY REFUSE TO PRORATE MY BILL! I cancelled my TV on 10/7, they want payment until Oct 29th. Why? Because "we don't prorate." I said does that seem fair that I pay for something that I'm not using? "Well we could turn it back on..." RUDE CS supervisor to even suggest such a thing. Should I get 8 months payments back because it didn't work? Not asking for it. Charter/Spectrum are money grubbing leeches that are losing share every month & for good reason. DON"T USE THEM IF YOU CAN AVOID IT.

I moved to a new address and called their Planning a Move? Number. The agent assured me everything would go off without a hitch and that it was OK to self install my equipment. They ordered a technician to come to my new house when I was not home and I had cancelled the appointment!
Well I have my internet but get an email saying I owe $120 and that my service was never activated. I am using the internet right no and everything is fine. Called customer service to fix it. Was on the phone an hour and was transferred 6 times and my issue is still not resolved.
I am worried they are going to call a collection agency because I guess I am "stealing" internet from them? Unbelievable!

This is an example of a day with Spectrum. I'm paying for the ultra package of 400 mbps ($100/mo) and for most the day I'm receiving less than 10 mbps. I'm working from home as many of us are during the pandemic and cannot join video calls at work because my bandwidth is too low. I would not recommend this ISP.

10/2/20
11:39a (down 5.0 mbps/ up 4.8 mbps)
12:50p (down 8.7 mbps / up 15.0 mbps)
3:51p (down 10.5 mbps / up 14.1 mbps)
4:26p (down 7.0 mbps / up 9.1 mbps)
5:19p (down 7.4 mbps / up 4.4 mbps)
6:08p (down 20.3 mbps / up 23.1 mbps)

Spectrum is a joke, with the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. Called last week to upgrade from the old Time Warner service we currently have to Spectrum. Spent three and a half hours on the phone, somehow the turned our cable service off and couldn't figure out how to turn it back on, took them all day. Just WOW! We were supposed to receive a new DVR, Router and Modem via UPS today. Just spoke with a Spectrum Customer Service Representative who advised me that they failed to mail out the new equipment and I'd receive it in four to five business days. So, I asked why I should pay for upgraded services for two weeks that I'm not currently receiving. Her or her supervisor had no reasonable answer on why I should pay for something that I'm not currently receiving in addition to spending half the day on the phone last week and waiting all day today for an equipment package that was never even shipped.

1- mobile coverage VERY limited, specially if you travel, drive. It is absent if you have mountains, woods etc near by. In my case it wasn't working in most of Beverly Hills areas.

2- customer service, gives little to NO care they charged me extra AFTER I cancelled services due to their billing issues.
I had to pay for 1,5months if non- used services, including for the equipment, which was returned to them.

STAY AWAY FROM SPECTRUM
September 24, 2020

I HATE SPECTRUM. I have been with Spectrum for only two months and have had problems after problems. First, the technician messed up the wiring. I had to pay my electrician to come rerun my hardwire. Spectrum had to send another technician to fix the problem. Secondly, Spectrum's WiFi box had a power surge and EVERYTHING that was connected directly to the WiFi box died (the tv modem, my TV, my computer, my Arlo security, and my ADT system). They denied the claim and said that it wasn't their equipment. The only common factor related to the items was that they were connected to the Spectrum's WiFi box. I have been out of almost $1,000 since I switched. If you are considering this company, stay with your current provider. If AT&T offers to buy me out of my current contract, I would switch back in the drop of a dime.

When choosing Spectrum be aware:
1. Spectrum claims it is now a "subscription service like Netflix" and they do not prorate should you cancel midcycle. No one told me this when I opened or closed the account. They claim language about this buried in a bill that's not read because I am on autopay is sufficient notice. It is not.
2. Then, they decided they have free reign to take funds via EFT outside of the usual cycle because I cancelled. I did not authorize the charge.
3. I had techs to my house 5 times in past 8 months to get service acceptably operating.

So, it is understandable that both the service and the customer focus is woefully inadequate. Choose another provider.

Crap
September 20, 2020

This company should put out a guide to "how to lose customers to cord cutting"... it would be much more useful than their web based tv guide. The guide is bulky, counterintuitive and freezes constantly (when you can get it to work at all). About 50% of the time you get "guide unavialable" and have to start over. We had their service for less than a day when we lost the internet and with it the cable for at least 3 hours. We switched from Frontier because of the price and 200mbs internet. Frontier lost quite a few channels that we were sensitive to and was quite a bit more expensive. The 200mbs internet service is rarely above 50mbs and usually around 20mbs. When our "special rate" price changes we will drop them completely. Don't waste your time.

Former Billing Agent
September 18, 2020

As billing representative i saw this company allowing the sales department when subscribing customers for the first time being lied to, cheated just to make the sale then when the bill came in the mail to the customer the charges were much higher and not what was agreed upon, careful and beware you will get ripped off and youre credit ruined from this company and their in complete violation of the Deceptive Trade Practice Act this government will eventually catch up. Since i was hired four additional classes were hired and they are nearly gone from the stress and pressure form customers and metrics and it doesnt matter how well you preform supervisors always want more and better which would like the billing agents to walk on water. WARNING! DONT BE A CUSTOMER OR AN EMPLOYEE IF DONT BELIEVE IT TRY IT.

When i agreed to get cable internet on spectrum, the monthly bill was supposed to be $118 per month, started month was august 26,2020. You get the bill instantly. There was a connection fee 1st bill. The next bill went up to $121.50. I called spectrum why the increase. They said there was an increase on cable. Yesterday i got an email from spectrum saying thank you for your recent spectrum order. And state per your request your service has been updated. So now my monthly bill coming will be $131.50. I never ordered anything! Spectrum conveniently added an order i never did to increase my bill. I called them few times to get rid of this damn added bill, i was on hold for so long a few times attempt to call and argue the added bill. Problem was not solve. Next day, i went to thier office store to dispute this added bill, the spectrum cust. Service has the nerve to asked what did i order. And wont take the word I DID NOT ORDER ANYTHING THATS WHY I AM HERE. The cust service i cant help you if you dont tell me what u ordered. WTF?! This monopolize internet cable company knows we the consumer are at thier mercy since we all need internet and cable. Its part of our life. So they play the games to us the consumers who gets played and take the bite of thier monkey business.

On 9/12/20, my husband a nd I went to the spectrum store in spanish springs to purchase a new cell phone for myself and set up service thru spectrum Our contact was Session. We were greeted and this young man, was so helpful in helping me select the best phone for myself but getting everything arranged. Most of the time in the past, I went thru ATT for my husband and myself and left the store really lacking knowledge of what I had just done I left spectrum w a lot of knowledge and feeling like this guy cared about our service. I cant begin to tell you how impressed we both were We will prob get my husbands next phone thru spectrum and set up service Unfortunately he was impatient and set it up thru ATT So thank you for this amazing experience Pamela K Davis 775/*******
