Got billed for discontinued services for upto a year after cancellation. On top of it all, support cited as my fault that I didn't call them within 60 days. Terrible company and equally terrible service. Encourage you to pay more elsewhere but avoid Spectrum.

Spectrum (formerly Charter Cable) hates their clients. They show you this by NOT prorating your monthly bill when you disconnect. Every other utility does this--and don't kid yourself, Spectrum is a utility given specific right-of-ways in their service areas.

If you get nailed by them for a huge fee ("rest of the month"), contact your county government, State's Attorney General's office, FCC and FTC (they are doing trade over state boundaries).

I've been a customer years ago, went away, went back to them, and now disconnecting voice, data, and video they think a 30-day cost should count vs. an eight-day pro-rated cost. Very sad to see them go so far downhill.

The "real solution" is to not ever do business with them. Plain and simple.

Do not use Spectrum for any reason whatsoever if you have a choice. They do random shutdowns of all their services, don't tell you an accurate estimation of complete time, and don't reimburse you for any of their wrongdoings.

Greedy over money

This is the worst company in the world to deal with and as soon as I can find another one I will be dropping this company like a bad habit. They are so greedy over money till it is pathetic. They don't have any plans to help the elderly or disabled and they always got some darn hidden fees. The internet 5speed my foot you're lucky if it works for a full day.So dissatisfied with this company

I just found out over a year that I have been paying for a cable box that I don't need. One billing representative realize that it was an error and credit me for four month of having a cable box. The problem is that I was paying for over a year for a box of $24.99. I ask for a credit and they refused to back date if for the year that I was paying for that money. I had two representative stated that it is was my fault and I suppose to know how cable and internet work. I don't work for Spectrum so how do I suppose to know that. The billing managers told me I should read all of there policies. I won't every one to know who they treat their customers. That explains why they are low on the food chain of customer service and their service on tv and internet is not great as well. I hope this help people to stay away from this company if you can.

Worst ever

Rude customer service

Not once have I ever been treated Rudely on a phone. Other than when I went to cancel my service with spectrum. I explained to the representative I wanted to cancel because we just wanted something different. She began to hound me, "what's different? Why? Your price is unbeatable?" In a rude attitude. But the real reason was their prices are just crazy for the speed I get. I explained I went with T-Mobile, She told me for going with T-Mobile Wi-Fi it wasn't reliable, they didn't have tv, and it didn't even have a gig. T-Mobile is cheaper and it is faster than spectrum by A LOT. Mind you why she is telling me this she has the rudest tone. It wasn't until I had to say "I don't really care about what you want. IT's ultimately about what I want. And we have decided to not go with your services anymore." And then began to put me on hold for 20 minutes. I just don't understand why spectrum would hire people who are just completely rude to customers, like their job is to literally provide service for the customers? Not bully them into staying with them.

Installation errors
October 28, 2023

I just switched to Spectrum for fiber internet and tv. Their service tech showed up on time on the 21st however, spectrum had not pre-burried the fiber line. The tech was respectful, called tech support in front of me and scheduled the fiber line to be buried and ran to my house. He even marked where the line should be installed with spectrum's flags and communicated that to tech support as I already had a different provider with a fiber line installed. Cool right. The line was installed while I was at work and they didn't follow the markings their own tech marked for them and they cut my current fiber line. Now I have no internet. I called spectrum and told them what happened, they told me a tech would be out the next day to install. Well nobody showed up. I had to take off work to be home, when I called spectrum back again they said there was no record of me having an appointment. I keep getting excuse after excuse why a tech cannot come install internet in my home. I had to purchase a Wi-Fi hot spot as my wife and I both work from home some throughout the week. We are coming up on a week now since spectrum cut my line and they don't seem to be in a hurry to correct their mistake. Spectrum was asking me to consider changing to their mobile phone service. The price is good compared to my current provider however, I visited my current provider and asked for a hotspot and I was on my way in 30 minutes with great service. It seemed like I was going to save money and I liked how spectrum let me choose the channels I wanted but as of right now, I can't recommend this service to anyone. Absolutely no accountability for their actions.

Spectrum is trash
October 26, 2023

Spectrum suspended my service several weeks ago due to no payment. I offered to pay $290 they agreed. Abd before I could do so, they cut off Mt service. Switched to Direct TV and AT&T. Despite the suspension, Spectrum is still charging for my bill and now it's over $1,000 and they want $800 to turn my service back on. Mind you I still have no phone and cable service. Also, they refuse to port my phone number to AT&T. I need my phone number. I will get to the bottom of this because noone is giving me a straight answer

Rude

Went to the local store to in my internet boxes and 2 TV boxes all the customer service people were very helpful and polite. Would have to call customer service to setup Choice 15. Called when I got home the lady also very polite and helpful transfered Iwas
As we was talking she realized that I needed tec to remove internet transfer there told her I need to remove internet Start the why questions then started to I can offer this be cheaper I told her not to today when over it again said no then she ask about cell phone said she could get it cheaper Told that I had other people so no on the phones she keep on talking repeat everything I told her again no no no I was not interested She said to me was I going to be stubborn and I called her a stupid b and hung up I'm proud of what I said but to just keep on and on
When I said no The Internet better be remove quickly.

Despicable service

$#*!ty service that's plagued by frequent outages especially after midnight that conveniently get fixed within less than 4 hours so you aren't eligible for a credit. Been with them since 2016 as their client base has increased so have their prices soared.Time to move to At & T.
A complete rip off! Don't even bother with their spectrum mobile professing nationwide 5G stick to your provider or you'll be signing up for nationwide wide black out.

I was working as a contractor for spectrum in Owensboro ky. We have ups and downs with customers complaints and less complements. But the higher up in this company here where I was working just fired me because of a customer, I've done the work but still got fired. I have a hearing disability from the military which kinda talks a little louder than a normal person. But spectrum corporate don't want to hear my disability and just fired me.Millitary disability. And they don't want anything to do with it anymore because I can't be as normal person as they want me to perform the contractors work. That's how spectrum corporate treats military veterans. Fires the person who tries his best everyday to work. Not being a burden to a customer, and to top it off I'm a minority too. So what can I say. I know someone who checks this blog will erase this sooner or later but remember what this company doing to the military veterans and minority person.

Worst Service Ever

This company has an outage 90 percent of the time. Their customer service are robots, no one has a clue. They had the nerve to take $80 dollars out of my account unauthorized. Their service is worst than dial up. They need to start at the top and fire all of them, because they are not doing a good job, but running this company in the ground. They didn't have a 0, because that is what they deserve.

Jason ( if that's his real name), at the Richmond, Kentucky store was the rudest CSA I've ever experienced. Their prices are ridiculous. $300.00 for phone, cable and internet. AVOID SPECTRUM at all costs.

I had a tree destroy my home & contents. I have explained this over & over and all spectrum does is add insult to injury. They are more worried about their equipment than their equipment than their customer. That's really sad, especially all the money I've paid them over the years.

Expensive and Lack of Service

I had the TV/internet bundle because it was my only option. I dropped the cable but had to pay for an extra month due to poor customer service and being given the run around when calling Spectrum. The internet cuts out often. As someone who works from home and has video calls all day, I often have to use my phone as a hot spot because the call will freeze. The service is incredibly expensive, but it is my only option for now. I cannot wait until the local company moves into my area so U can drop them all together!

Theives

This company are thieves just like T-Mobile was stay away from them both as much as you can.
I made a payment into my device last month, this month it did not show on the balance.
I asked to see the statement the app was opening all the tabs except for the one with the statement to see the payment that I made last month.
When I started to insist on seeing the statement, that's when the customer service guy started being rude.
Basically I made the payment and it didn't show, and I could not or was not allowed to see the statement. I do not know why, I think because they got caught stealing and I wanted to cover their tracks.
