I'm an artist on Society6, and while I've only sold one item on the site - though no fault of theirs - I really enjoy using the site. It's super easy to upload art, and it looks amazing! Plus you only pay the verification fee of $1 to sell photos. After that everything is free unless you want to buy something of course!
The customer service is awesome as well. When I needed to switch PayPal accounts it took only 7 minutes for me to get a reply from Ms. Marriane. She was very helpful and quickly and efficiently helped me out.
I will be staying with S6 for a long time coming.
I bought a coffee mug for my husband for Christmas and about a month later, he broke it. When looking at the site on my phone, I couldn't seem to find the coffee mug anymore to replace it. I emailed Society 6's customer service and received a response from Emilyn within a couple of hours. They replaced the mug, for free. I was perfectly willing to pay for a new one -- and told them that -- I just needed help figuring out where to find it. But they sent a new one, completely free of cost. Emilyn was helpful, friendly, and generous. Not to mention quick to respond. I will continue to shop at Society6, and am telling everyone I know to go there too.
I have ordered a couple of prints from Society6.com. There were plenty of selections and it was easy to bookmark and look at several pictures together online for groupings.
I did receive a framed picture and the frame had a flaw (knot in the wood that was discolouring through the white paint). They replaced the item no problems (photos were provided to show defect). No sending back original shipment and replacement came quickly. Being in Canada I did pay for the shipping on the replacement item but overall the value of products and the quick response to correct issue outweighed the slight additional cost. Shipping can be a little slow, not sure if that's due to production or the actual shipping to Canada.
I have spent a fairly significant amount of time online in the past looking for affordable but original art. Because the website has an artist community structure (where artists can submit their work and the website takes care of printing and shipping for them) there is a lot of variety and I do like that the artists have a platform to get their work out in a one stop shop. Good for shoppers and I would think good for the artists as well.
I will buy from this website again in the future when I need more items.
I had an issue with my order which was taken care of immediately. I was inadvertently charged for shipping even though it was supposed to be free shipping. I messaged them on Facebook and received a reply back just minutes later (on a Sunday no less). The matter was attended to immediately.
I was having trouble returning a shower curtain that I ordered (nothing wrong with it), and when I contacted customer service, they immediately issued a refund, no questions asked.

Smooth handling & resolving of the society6 account related issues by its wonderful folks! I've had an issue with login, it just got resolved by texting the society6 team over facebook. I just received my first order from Society6. My framed print was delivered in a timely fashion and the print and frame were great. There was an issue with the packaging which scratched the glass of the frame. Within minutes of sending my issue to Society6, I received an acknowledgment email that was soon followed up by an email from Marianne telling me a replacement was on the way.

I ordered 2 shower curtains that were great quality, but they did not meet the specific aesthetic I was looking for when I ordered them. I had an issue with a canvas I ordered. I alerted customer service and Marianne resolved the issue quickly and effectively.
