Smarty

They've been charging my credit card for 6 months 13$ a month. I didn't authorize this. Never heard of them, don't know what they do. Filed complaint with FTC. Also posted reviews on Facebook. I called them and demanded they stop billing me and refund all my money. According to their policy, they will only refund half my money. I googled them and it seems there are hundreds of others in the same situation as me. They too call this fraud. Beware of this company. CROOKED. FRAUD.

This is nothing but fraud. They charged $19 to my debit card in August and in September without authorization. I'm guessing perhaps they got my debit card number from one of the recent large data leaks. I've had to cancel my debit card and order a new one. My bank is refunding the money to me. I don't know why the banks don't take them to court to try to recoup some of the money they've lost.

In summary, fraud fraud fraud fraud fraud. And fraud.

They signed me up for a "free" subscription then charged me 1 dollar. When I went to unsubscribe the process was a little too easy so I asked customer support what my status was and, lo and behold, it was active. Customer support was great at cancelling, refunding, and deleting my account though.

Never heard of them until they charged my debit card WITHOUT authorization. This is the second time in December that this has happened. These scam artists keep trying. I check my account every day now. This should be illegal!

This is the smartest way to loot people without showing clearly that they are going to charge a monthly fees of $19 and $3 trial period charges. I wonder why none has a complaint against these thugs. They entice you by promising and just showing how you gonna make cash back (trivial value) on the one online transaction you are making, but make loads of money off the subscription fees. Politicians are better than these thugs. Big scam. Pls avoid using this app

Bought theatre tickets and immediately after purchase smarty appeared with a $15 cash back offer. I fell for it and the scam began! First they take $3 off your credit card. Then you are told you have to make a purchase thru Smarty and submit the receipt to get the $15 cash back. Fortunately I used my American Express card and they allowed me dispute all Smarty charges. Watch out, they also automatically renew after 30 days for $40 bucks a month so make sure you go on their site and cancel the subscription.

Smarty is not like any cash back company, they are cash scammers, in a matter of couple of weeks they have successfully withdrawn 3 transactions from my credit card, totaling to 38$, they operate under 2 different names, It's my fault when I signed up believing that this company was competitor in this space.

Like so many others, I paid for $15 parking using a parking ap and then a flash popped up saying I can have the $15 refunded. I clicked, entered some details and then started to become suspicious. When I got to the final 'accept' that I was agreeing to terms and conditions I actually read the terms and conditions. And there it was, automatic billing each month. I of course did not accept and closed things up. Today I checked my visa and was charged $3 the day I paid for my $15 parking and another $19 today. I've asked for a $22 refund from "Smarty". Let's see what happens. If no refund, I'll report to my credit card company that these are fraudulent charges and get a refund that way.

Just contacted my credit card and it is stopped. I didn't join this scam at all yet it somehow managed to charge my credit card for $3.00 then $19.00 and another $19.00 the next month. I never signed up with them and never heard of this place. Awful.

My PoshMark order checkout had a "$10 off" box that I thought was a gift for first time users, but after researching this, I discovered a 197 page "terms and conditions" clause that had apparently enrolled me into a "subscription " with SmartyPlus, AND Shipmentsfree.com club membership too. I had to read for an hour to discover that I had to go to 2 sites, TWO SITES, to unsubscribe from this stuffing scam. It's a racket indeed.
Both unsubscribing sites are pictured below, deeply hidden in their almist 200 pages of "terms and conditions". Good luck, people. Remember that there is no free lunch!

I noticed a transaction for $19 in my checking account from a smartyplus.net after going over anything I realized I did not authorize this payment or any subscriptions to a cash back subscription. You found a number to smarty plus.net called them and to my surprise great customer service they were understanding they canceled the subscription and they refunded me my payment back the person on the other end the customer service representative with very pleasant and helpful I wish a lot of things for that easy I don't know how I got the subscription but they were very helpful to.rectify the situation

I've been charged 6 times from this devious company within 3 months. 4's@$19.00,3 x's@$3.00 For what? Thought this was to get cash back for purchases, O didn't make any so they charge me? What a scam!

After I pressed paid for a ticket on Ticketmaster a window popped up telling me I could get $15 back for my purchase so I naively pressed ok and confirmed my credit card info.

I was then redirected to Smarty where I found out I had been signed up for a $19 reoccurring membership and that they had billed me $3 for a trial membership.

I've contacting my bank and the Canadian Anti Fraud Network to report this horrible company.

I was enticed by a falsely advertised sale. After going through the confusing sign up process to get the advertised discount, it did not exist at all. I did not realize I had accepted any ongoing feed, just a once off small payment of around $3. A few months later and two $19 payments were subtracted from my bank account in quick succession, I believe this would be to aid flying under the radar. I am $38 out of pocket for absolutely nothing. The advertised promotion is falsified to match your search. It does not exist at all, you are taken to other pages and when you search for the advertised product it was never there. Do not fall victim.

I have no idea how they got my details. I never created an account or authorised any payments. In this day and age surely banks could put something in place whereby they send an email or message to your online banking and u have to activate authorisation with bio metrics! I can not take screenshots of my bank statements but they have been regular stealing at least 19 pounds a month

I don't know why you people keep changing me money! For a free coupon I got one time like how do u even get my money you owe me over 100 bucks I have messaged already to ur email to hav it back now I will go through my koho... as well as report ur fraudulent $#*!

I have no idea how this company obtained my name or my credit card number. For almost a year, I have had my credit card charged $19.00/mo, in addition to several $3/00/mo, for absolutely nothing! I am a 78 year-old senior who definitely cannot afford this ruse. Be aware of anything having to do with Smarty Cash Back!

I never signed up for no smarty cash not ever have I heard of this company. I have no idea how they got my debit card info they just tried to take $3 from my account, thankfully I always keep my cards locked! How can I find these folks?
