I did not sign up for this scam. Why are you taking money from my credit card each month? I would you to put the money back in my credit card account. Cancel my subscription an put my money back in my credit card account.
In June, I made a onetime, online purchase from Walmart and supposedly received a $10.00 promotional-discount. I received my order and was very pleased with the delivery and quality of the product.
Four months later, I discovered $12.95 had been charged, monthly, to my card, by Shopsmarter.com. I called Shopsmarter and asked what this was for, and they told me that Id signed up for their service, during their try a week for free promotion. They said that, because I had not called to cancel their promotional subscription, via Walmart, I was automatically registered. I NEVER KNOWINGLY SIGNED UP FOR, OR USED, THEIR SERVICE! I told them that they needed to refund my money, since I hadnt signed up for their service. The agent agreed to refund my money and cancel the account. After waiting several days, with no refund, I contacted my bank, and received four temporary credits, of $12.95, back into my account. Three weeks later, I discovered that Shopsmarter, caused a credit reversal for three months of membership fees to be taken back by them. Tonight, I called my bank again, to ask, What the $#*!ens is going on! The bank agent review the records and found something irregular! She told me to call back tomorrow and speak with her supervisor! I will follow up with the results!

Going over my credit card billing I saw this name for the first time. Went back and looked further... there it was. Of all the sleazy, underhanded way to con a person this takes the cake. I've never fallen before, but to have it tied to a store that "you're not connected with" without notice is appalling and disgusting. Even if you are legitimate (many doubts there) you need to be put in a box and dumped overboard. I would like a refund of my $12.95 x 2 immediately. Obviously your near zero rating doesn't bother you, so maybe the social media is the way to go.
I called the number that appeared in my bank account *******6355... the lady asked for my name and last name. Impressed that she asked to provide my zip code and she replied with my address for verification! How did they get my address? Anyways, after 5 business days I received a credit for the same amount they had charged me. Good luck! Oh and I also purchased something from wal-Mart. Coincidence? I don't know... be careful, always check your account for charges you didn't do.
I almost fell for this scam. Walmart has to do better. Shopsmart told me I could get $10 back off my $300+ purchase. When I seen them asking for my credit card info I knew they are UP TO NO GOOD! GOTTA BE QUICKER THAN THAT!
Charged 12.95 on my debit card... they said I signed up through Wal-Mart. I tracked it back to a purchase I had made on the Walmart website. During that purchase all of these pop-ups for shop smarter kept coming up. While trying to close out the window, I must have inadvertently clicked on some sort of sign up. I would never sign up for something like this, as I am not a frequent online shopper. I have tried calling all one 800,866,888 numbers affiliated with them and receive the same message every time "all circuits are busy please try your call again later." They do you not even allow you to leave a message and that in and of itself is a telltale sign that this is a scamming fraudulent company. I am disputing all charges on my bank account statement and Walmart.com claims they have no affiliation with shop smarter, however after reading so many other reviews Walmart seems to come into play somehow. Very concerning how they obtained my email address and bank account information from the Walmart website. I have still have not received a response from the shop smarter "team" when I left a comment with my email on their website. They state that they will get back to you within 24 hours and I have not received a call or an email. Absolutely Unbelievable & this exactly why I'm so skeptical about shopping online to begin with. If I could give them a 0 star rating I would!
Unfortunately I did to check my credit card statement Carefully enough and by the time I did I had been billed for 7 months of fees. I did not even know what this service was and had to look them up online to find out. I called and she said it was linked to a Walmart purchase I made 7 months ago. I did not sign up for this service and they refused to refund the charges. I asked for proof that I signed up and Nicole P ID#6024 said could send me a welcome email. I will also be disputing this with my credit card company.

I knowingly signed on because I READ. For those crying about scams they should try it. I got a $10 rebate and was going to cancel but decided to buy what I normally would from Walmart since I get back 20% and I got my cash back as claimed. I'm making a lot more than what I'm paying. Smart shopper membership is legitimate and worth it.

Charged 12.95 on my debit card they said I signed up on Wal-Mart. Com during check out only thing I've bought no such thing. They easily refunded money but had my card name address email and password where I signed up for it... This is very concerning

My story starts out similar to most other reviews. An unidentifiable transaction, and then a call to my CC company to get some clarification. In the end it was a simple matter of disputing the charge and it was removed immediately. I have done this on several occasions when deemed necessary and in most cases your creditor will side with you and remove the charge.

I started randomly getting charged 12.97 from here when i do not even know that this site existed. After two months of being charged i find this site and realized that i sign up for a membership? I would never pay 12.97 a month for a "cash back" site. Looking through the reviews I saw that one person who uses ebates (which is free to sign up for) bought something from walmart and was later charged the 12.97 fee. This is what happened also to me. I bought something online from walmart and went through ebates so I got the 10% cash back that ebates offered (not a coincidence that this scam of a site also gives 10% cash back at walmart). From there this site got my information (including my debit card info), and signed me up for a membership here without my knowledge. I WANT THE 2 MONTHS OF FEES FROM WHEN THIS SITE STOLE MY INFO AND CREATED MY MEMBERSHIP BACK!

Used the program as it was intended, made several purchases that I had to make anyway using their site/system to access the stores where I was shopping already... including a couple of big ticket items like a dishwasher (Sears) and 2 new computers (Best Buy)... received a check as expected at the conclusion of my first quarterly payout cycle. My only complaint is that I quickly maxed out their $1000 annual cashback limit within the first 3 months... but that is well worth the $12.97 monthly fee.

Made 1st Wal-Mart online purchase today and while processing purchase this company kept popping up and, frustratingly, kept declining their services. Wal-Mart.com says they have zero affiliation with ShopSmarter. I received numerous emails from them following day then finally "unsubscribed" from what I never subscribed to. Latest email tell me I'm "cancelled effective July 24th", same as delivery date of purchase. And, I won't be incurring any charges.? Wal-Mart, if they truly have zero affiliation with ShopSmarter, has been compromised.

I work for Cherokee County First's, I was charged a membership fee I'm in need of a receipt but you tell me that you don't do receipts off which I think is very stupid because we can't us the Bank Statement, I can't get anyone to help me not even upper management I think it's very unprofessional, I'm sure that we're not the only one that may need a receipt.
